The location was excellent, the layout and furnishing of the unit was good, however the unit is very tired, (aircon held together with duck tape although still worked). The carpet was worn and other minor issues, so needs a facelift and maintenance. In saying that though I would definitely stay there again. The reception staff were good and tried to be helful when there was a issue that needed to be addressed straight away. The fact there was a coffeshop in the foyer was a bonus as the next closest would have been a 10-15min walk. Very close to many restaurants and the city centre.

Unit we stayed in had not been maintained, quite run down but still serviceable. Requested a new iron because the iron in the room the face of it was black (burnt). Waited over half an hr of it to be delivered, when still hadn't called reception again who got onto housekeeping again and advised they would bring straight away. After 15mins still not there, so had to go out when returned iron (which also wasn't much good) had been delivered.

Air-conditioner failing in both rooms .... Dripping and needed servicing The single room I stayed in first was not clean and needed serious maintenance ... Upgraded to the larger space which was better Pool was westerly and unshaded making it unreasonable to sit in /around almost all day especially the afternoon .. we were swimming at 7am so that we weren't out in the heat

Room were great size. Each bedroom had a fan but these definitely need some TLC as they either go vey slowly or just flat-out ! Also the air conditioner was very noisy! Just a few things that could be improved to make for a more comfortable stay. We enjoyed our stay.

Air con needs servicing and also the fans. We were staying with other family members who were on a seperate floor and accessing them at times was awkward due to access restrictions for each floor . The lounge room could have better seating options for a more comfortable stay.

Before arrival I was able to check-in online. The hotel and my room were clean. The instruction about the checking after hours, I received on my mobile phone was clear and accurate. The room was small but comfortable for one night. The bathroom and shower were great. We parked our car almost at the entrance to the hotel. The guests need to clean glasses and take the rubbish out before leaving the room. They have the shute on the corridor..

Before arrival I spoke to a receptionist, and I informed her about our late arrival. She told me that she was going to send me all details via email or phone about the checking after hours as they were closing the reception at 5pm. She did not do it. I was busy during the day and when I found out I did not get any details I called again at 5.05pm and the man answer my phone and he sent me all the details. Good that I called again.

Apartment facilities were excellent.

Would have liked reception to be open from say 8-6. Felt receptionist was not as knowledgeable nor helpful to people who were new to the city and did not have a car. e.g where to catch a local bus to get into town, to get to Jessine barracks etc. Would have liked the Pool to be open until say 7 p.m. Could not get wifi in apartment on level 8, so inconvenient to have to go to reception area and no seats there if reception area was closed. We often needed to use wifi before 9 and after 5, when reception closed.

We were upgraded to a 3 bedroom apartment which was very spacious. It was furnished with lovely furniture, all in good condition. The kitchen had been renovated to a high standard. The beds were comfortable and the bathrooms had been renovated. Car parking on site. Very close to everything, especially if you are going to the Queensland Country Bank Stadium, it’s within walking distance. Plenty of restaurants just around the corner too. Lovely view of the river from the balcony. Lifts to your room were quite quick and never had to wait too long.

Though the bathroom had been renovated, the shower was leaking from the base and the water was slow to go down the drain. The pillows were not to our liking as they were lumpy. These are just minor things.

Overall the property, although some years old, is in very good condition. Entrance, lobby and reception are all welcoming. Room, while basic, was clean and offered the essential facilities. Because our flight arrived early morning we were at the hotel some time before check-in, however an effirt was made to have our room available promptly. and we were accommodated without additional charge. This was much appreciated.

Only one negative comment. While recognizing that the room was unserviced it would have been good to have fresh towels each day during our stay.

Great sized apartment walking distance to the strand. Cleaned very well. Man on reception was pleasant and helpful.. easy access to parking.Nice outlook. Didnt have time to look at the pool unfortunately... Would definitely stay again

Only negative was kitchen wasn't overly well equipped with cooking gear( not a hassle for this trip as only staying the 1 night but could be difficult on a longer stay.) air-conditioner in our apartment noisy and squealing. Not that its anyones fault, staff notified to organise checking it out.

Nice clean room and good hot water which was great! The bed was really comfortable. nice views from the room.

Secure parking would definitely be beneficial. Lockable gate to protect my car. I had valuables in the back tray that I couldn’t fit inside the car. as the web site said while I went to book.. said secure parking. which isn’t true. Anyone off the street could just walk in and take stuff or damage my car. I wasn’t happy about that at all. Secure means secure. It’s false advertisement to get people to stay.

Working out how we would access the property was an issue. the on line check in said they would send us a link with access details. this did not happen. We rang and a receptionist was on duty and would meet us. Why then say they would send a link?? The receptionist did the minimum in handing over the access card. Appeared disinterested and was unable or unwilling to answer any questions.
