June 2024
The room was facing Palmer St and the Stadium and I could see out across the ocean. It was a lovely view and very quiet except of course when the football was on there Saturday afternoon. That didn’t bother me because it was all over by 8pm and it was fun watching the crowds walking to the stadium in the afternoon.
I was originally checked in to a very substandard room and thought the whole hotel must be that bad. I called housekeeping to come and look at it and between that manager and the reception manager they quickly rectified it by moving me to a much better room. The hotel manager called me later that day to apologise and check how everything was in the new room. I was extremely impressed with the response from the whole team.

Room was spacious and very comfortable. Excellent position , close to many things. Great views. Staff in reception were very good.
Only one complaint was poor attention to servicing room. It was clean, but rubbish was not taken; coffee, milk, etc not replenished; toiletries not replenished; fresh towels left but used ones not removed, and a few other minor things. It was a busy weekend and they were probably struggling with time and enough staff so it is likely the standard is usually much better. Reception staff said it would ensure appropriate section would be informed.

We didn't have breakfast as we had a 1 Bedroom apartment and made our own. The location is great as it is close to all the facilities we wanted. We have stayed there several times over the years and like the location the most.
Unfortunately, the renovations going on outside the building and the pool being closed (again). The pool has been closed on the last several visits we made. The renovations were not intrusive as they needed to be carried out. Personally, I think we should have been advised that Renovations were being performed and the pool was closed (again) and we should have received a reduced Rate.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was great, clean, comfortable and had the space that I was expecting.
The parking was a bit finnicky, the pedestrian access didn't work from the outside and we had to enter via the car entrance to get to the car. It is a bit annoying the parking situation, having to pay separately for the parking given the current car theft climate in Townsville, but I knew this going into it and was willing to pay the parking cost.

I loved the central location. The room had an exceptional view. The pool top area was fantastic. The bed was comfortable. The restaurant was great for breakfast and the value for money was great. Staff went out of their way to help me while I was there. It was a fantastic stay.
No lift up to the room from the car park. It was raining and we had to walk around outside to get into the building after parking our car underneath.

the room was very comfortable and clean, the location was fantastic. front desk staff were very friendly and efficient.
Breakfast was good but not great, service in the area was very average and value for money probably not that great. coffee was good though. restaurant menu for dinner was varied and reasonably priced, but the actual quality of the food was lacking. food was not hot when received at the table which was disappointing. 3 night stay only ate once for dinner and once for breakfast.

The staff were friendly, the room was clean, the beds very comfortable with extra pillows, location was superb 👌 Straight across from the Cowboys Leagues Club entrance, city views of the river and Castle Hill were very pretty... I will definitely be making this my go to hotel when staying in Townsville...
I would suggest the price of parking should be included in the price of the booking. Paying $15 as an extra is off putting, and then having to carry your luggage around the corner is very strange. I have stayed in hotels all around Australia and it seams to me the only place that does this is Townsville.

Location - Just a short walk to the many shops in Flinders St. I also enjoyed the convenience of the Cowboys NRL club across the road for meals and entertainment. Staff - They were all very good and attentive.
Noise - Around 3am I could hear local youths yelling at each on the riverside below. I was on the 11th floor so it could have been worse. I appreciate that this is not within the accommodation provider's control.

December 2022
On the 17th of December, after being informed of the reason for my stay, the duty manager went out of her way to put us in a room with a better view. Room service was quick and delicious. Called ahead to have a bottle taken up to the room in advance and it was there, on ice, with two glasses and a very kind note. Fantastic stay, it has become our new regular hotel! Restaurant also very good with good staff and service.
I do wish the bed wheels were locked as I noticed it would shift with slight movement.

Our room on the 5th floor overlooked Ross River and was clean, comfortable and generally quiet. Check-in staff were friendly and approachable and were really helpful when we wanted to leave our main suitcases for a couple of days while we took the train to Mt Isa and back. The breakfast offering was good and varied. The hotel is close to many restaurants, bars and shops.
