As I sit here, enveloped in the cozy comfort of our room at RainTree Motel, I am compelled to share our overwhelmingly positive experience during our inaugural visit to Townsville. From the outset, Brian and Merelda, the charming proprietors, have extended a warm and genuine welcome, ensuring that every aspect of our stay is nothing short of exceptional. Their dedication to guest satisfaction is evident in every detail, from the cleanliness of the rooms to the attentiveness of the service. The accommodations are as inviting as they are immaculate, providing a haven of relaxation after our days of exploration. With amenities such as complimentary Wi-Fi and Foxtel, we have lacked for nothing during our stay. The plush beds and thoughtful inclusion of air conditioning and fans have ensured our comfort throughout. The allure of the bar and pool area remains irresistible, offering a refreshing retreat from the Townsville heat. The barbecue facilities have provided us with the opportunity to savor delicious meals in the company of fellow travelers, fostering a sense of camaraderie and community. With everything we need conveniently located nearby, from dining options to local attractions, we couldn't have asked for a more convenient base for our adventures. Good value for money, the staff was very friendly, room was quite large and the bed was comfortable. There was a kettle, coffee/tea/milk, microwave, minibar etc in addition to crockery. AC worked well and there was also a ceiling fan.

It is old and needs some maintenance (dripping faucet for example) and there were no electrical outlets near the beds so had to charge my phone across the room. Nothing major though!

Clean, practical with fridge and microwave, reverse cycle AC, management were lovely.

Small double bed which was hard. The noisy girls volley ball team staying in rooms across from us that had no regard for normal sleeping hours. Saturday 6am party in the parking lot complete with boom box and constant bouncing of balls. Management did finally address the situation after complaints were lodged.

Manager is very kind and caring . Due to our car broken we were not able to reach the hotel. We tried to cancel our booking from Booking.com but we were not able to. When I messaged Motel, Tony kindly canceled the booking for us with no cost. He also gave us discount booking when we were able to get there two days later. we are so grateful and thankful for his kind needs and care. All other staff were very friendly too. we will definitely stay there again.

Impressed with cleanliness , comfortable and relaxing, great location. Site manager was friendly and helpful with information regarding phoning after hours when I got in late at night. Happy that he could arrange my extra nights stay. 10/10 , impressed, I will use this accommodation again for future.

the headboard over the bed made sitting in bed next to impossible, especially for 6ft5 husband, might pay to remove this? especially as lights under there weren’t working. no sockets next to bed to charge devices (1st world problems I know haha)

It was just an overnight stay and it served this purpose fine. It was surprisingly quiet for a busy area so well insulated. Easy access to main road and shops. Pleasant reception. Everything you need for a short stay.

Ended up with upstairs unit that can be an issue with older and less active persons and having to use a parking space in front of another persons unit. Could lead to vandalism with disgruntled guest.

Air-con worked well. Beds were comfy. Shower was lovely and instantly hot. Toaster given on request.

Fridge wasn't very cold. Fridge rusty. "Please tidy our room" only got our bins emptied and new towels - would have liked the floor vacuumed.

Great location clean room friendly and helpfull staff and comfortable bed. Also it was a quiet location and there was a great channel for kids on the TV that I haven't seen on normal TV.

Some of the fixtures were a little outdated but they still worked fine.

Clean comfortable airconditioned room, very friendly gentleman in reception upon arrival, the whole family enjoyed a nice refreshing swim in the newly refurbished pool.

Late afternoon heat sitting outside to have a beer, we were on the wrong side of the units for shade :) Not a complaint, just an observation from us.
