Stayed for Valentines weekend. CBD and range of restaurants only a few minutes away. Rooms are nicely insulated from noise, beds were very comfortable, and sheets & linen smelled amazing compared to other hotels (a very nice ambience to start Valentines weekend). Was raining during my stay, so I didn't try the pool, but it looked very nice with pool slides for kids. Checking out, I left my ear buds in the room UNDER the bed, and thankfully, staff found them during general room cleaning and made them available for me to pick them up. I've stayed in other hotels before where there's dust and small food debris under the bed. So it's shows Billabong Lodge are very conscientious with keeping their rooms & facilities clean.

Not to give a rave review just because staff were very nice & and accommodating, but to highlight how much I really did enjoy my stay there, it would be fair to list one or two things for full disparity The top chiller compartment in the room bar fridge is small and keeps drinks very cold, but things like ice cream will eventually melt, so plan accordingly. There's no power outlet next to the bed, so if you need to use a laptop for work or charge your phone, make sure to bring a small extension cord. But for price, location and overall cleanliness & polite staff, will recommend 100%

Jess was absolutely wonderful and nothing was too much trouble for her. She is a credit to the company and absolute pleasure to deal with. Our units were really comfortable and extremely clean, but there were some issues with a disability side of it. 

Being a wheelchair bound person I need to always book an accessible room. unfortunately my room was a little difficult to navigate. There are no power points behind the bed around the side for my equipment. And the bathroom is so small I had to do a five point turn to get out of it. all the power points were up high which made it very difficult to turn on and off. a few other issues but not a true wheelchair accessible room.

Me and 2 friends stayed here for a month and absolutely loved it, couldn’t recommended Jess and Billabong enough, the most accommodating and lovely owner she goes above and beyond to make everyone’s stay as best as it can be, good location an easy bus into town a short walk away and car spaces, a big fridge and kitchenette as well as the comfiest beds! This place was a home away from home for us Thankyou Jess x

very Friendly Staff. welcoming and accommodating. Close to junior sporting facilities. Kids loved the pool and the slide.

Room 4- Roomy and spacious, bench for eating and place to store luggage. a surprise was the microwave and eating utensils. A short walk to a great fish and chip shop plus and excellent takeaway Chinese restaurant. Will certainly be staying again. very easy to get into. Comfortable big bed and a single bed in room if needed and extra person but still plenty of room for 3 adults.

Can't say I didn't like anything.

The facilities in the room were great, the beds were very comfortable and the rooms were very nice and clean. It was close to where we needed to go and only 5 minutes away from a shopping centre. The owners were very welcoming and very helpful when we needed assistance. Would definitely recommend Billabong Lodge Motel. For an overnight stay or a one week stay.

The staff were amazing, friendly, and extremely helpful.

It's a small thing and staff accommodated the issue so not really problem, more just something to be aware of. There were no Power outlets near the beds. Staff provided an extension lead in order to run a cpap machine. I was advised that it is in their plan to have this issue rectified.and they were very helpful.

Everything! Very simple and straight forward check in. The room was lovely and big. Very pleasing colour coding with everything and a nice big mirror covering the wall. The room as we walked in the door had a gorgeous smell that made the whole stay Great from the start

Small issue with the hardness of the pillows but didn’t bother us much when we drifted off to sleep

This place was great for our visit to Townsville and the Reef. Awesome value for money with comfy beds and good aircon. The kids also loved the pool on the hot days. Friendly staff and close proximity to malls, eateries and a short drive to the city centre. We were in a corner unit and it was really quiet.

The room had all necessities needed for showering and all kitchen ware which was nice. The beds had lovely crisp sheets. The decor was outdated but it was all clean. Great sized T.V for the room size.

It would be great if the pool had a little bit of shade but I understand for the price you can't have it all.
