Vale Hotel

Felt very safe and secure. Car was parked in secure garage. Beds were comfortable. Basic room but it was very tidy. Beds had very clean linen. White towels replaced daily. Travel size toiletries body wash, shampoo, conditioner and soap. Had tea, coffee, sugar and biscuits each day. Coffee cups, glasses and basic washing up products provided. Milk in fridge. Was very quiet. Shower was spotless.

After hours check in was in the pokies room at Vale Hotel. We waited for over 30 minutes in the pokies room near the bar late at night among patrons who were UIL…which was pretty uncomfortable. Directions regarding access to motel were not great.

Didn't realise the was a breakfast room till the end of our stay. We love the rolling gate for letting car in and out plus good for keeping cars safe, great to have a airconditioned room.

A second washing machine would have been good ,as there were times we had to wait to use it, a microwave in the room would have been good too, The bathroom ceiling has quite bad mould starting and the old air vent in the ceiling would look better either repainted or removed and put a panel over the hole. The light on the veranda out side out room did shine in though the blinds, we had to put something up to block out the light. Suggestion that you paint the corner window with some sort of frosting to help block the light.

The room was spacious. The bed was very comfortable. Linen clean. So was the room and bathroom. Staying over the far side was quite and I had a good night's sleep.

Having to wait 30 minutes to check in on a Sunday afternoon. I was forgotten by staff. However staff were gracious and gave me a complimentary glass of lemonade. No one's perfect and we all make a mistake every now and then. I will definitely stay again, however if after hours, I've heard via another traveller to organise the room key to be left in a combination drop box.

The rooms were very spacious and the beds were incredibly comfortable! We all had the best night's sleep. I suffer from Insomnia and had 2 amazing night's sleep for me. Even though it was an older apartment, we booked it due to the location near the sporting venue we needed to go to daily; to having a separate room for us parents; to have more space for our gear since travelling by car and doing other activities while in Townsville; for the size of the fridge and the kitchette area for storing things, warming up food and the sink and bench area.

We couldn't log onto wifi and since it was the weekend and we arrived late at night, reception wasn't open while we were at the apartment.

The lock up garage. Convenient facilities like restaurants and shops. It was ideal for our family that is involved with rugby league carnival. It was quiet and allowed us to fully rest for the next day of football.

That we didn't have an option to turn lights of outside unit/room. The light was coming into room and not allowing to having it fully dark. We also understand that the lighting is for security reasons. That was the only flaw in the accommodation. We highly recommend and have spoken to friends about our stay and recommend.

It was excellent. Budget friendly, very clean and tidy, our bins were emptied daily and the beds were so so comfortable with an a abundance of plump cushions. And with Dan Murphy’s right beside it and a walk across the car park to the pub, the location was perfect. The pub food was amazing for the nights we didn’t have the energy to go too far and the staff of both the pub and the hotel were just lovely and very warm and friendly.

We love that the room accommodated our family of 6. The children loved their single beds. The area is quiet safe and friendly. We loved that we have a safe locked in garage to park our car. The location is central to everything and only a few minutes drive as we explore Townsville and went to visit a family. The Steakhouse was amazing and every staff were helpful, friendly and accomodating from check in to our dine in to Steakhouse. The place is nice and tidy. Its just like a little family home away from home. For the price it is worth it. And we will definitely come back again to stay. PS: We are unable to connect to wifi for when the kids gets their screen time 😊

Not that we did not like, but just a little improvement for wifi connection because we are unable to connect for the kids to have their screen time.

The Vale was clean and had very comfortable beds, best I've slept in while away from home. The location was great as well. Felt very safe with all the gates and roller doors for the car park. Would stay there again definitely. I booked for 6 people and the room was a lot bigger then I was expecting.

The only thing I could say that wasn't the best was in our room the toilet roll holder was broken so the roll had to sit on the ground. Other then that it was great.

We were in Townsville for my surgery procedure. My first ever surgery and hopefully my last and of course I was very stressed out about the whole thing. So after that I just really needed somewhere to relax and recoup and I got that and more at The Vale Hotel. Every single staff member we encountered over our stay were more than happy to assist us in any and every way possible. From Joe & Diana at the pokie area, to Terri at the accommodation desk. And to the housekeeping lady sorry we didn't catch your name but you know who you are, the microwave saved us on takeaway meals. You're ALL AMAZING. We'll be back in 6 weeks and look forward to our stay there. Thankyou Vale Hotel

The only thing that we didn't like was that a couple of the patrons. Two young men asked us for money in the pokie area and another tried to sell us a ring for $10 which we found was so hilarious, anyway we declined all 3 of course lol. We mentioned it to the barmaid on the night and it was taken up straight away without hesitation. Bar staff member was all over it.

Value for money and friendly welcome also really clean facilities. The kids enjoyed the breakfast packs.

The Cleaner opened the door at 9am frightening my kids. This ended up being good as we had slept in but it wouldn't have happened at another establishment. She apologised so I think it was genuinely a mistake but thankfully the chain was on the door it prevented it from fully opening.
