Overall stay was superb. No concerns. 24 hour reception was assuring, staff very friendly. Easy location, large parking and superb location. Walking into the room with the ocean view it’s to die for. Large balcony, huge living area and bedroom. Room provided all amenities, huge areas and room is very large and satisfactory. Balcony is perfect, flawless views. Local food, shops very close by. Coles very close by. Everything is very easy and accessible. Perfect for kids waterpark next door & during summer months ferris wheel. Staff are very accommodating bringing towels all the time and emptying rubbish/rooms daily. Everything is close to you, it’s a great stay. We do not have anything bad to say about the team @ Oaks Glenelg. Thanks so much. We will be returning.

Very minor items which I had no concerns with but to raise attention to future stays: - Room is quite dated but still worth the money. Would recommend not to use the kitchen amenities - Beach: Beach infront of the hotel, please be aware off your belongs. I personally witnessed within two days two people get their bags stolen infront of me. Keep belongs in a safe place, do not leave towels unattended.

Great location to spend New Year’s Eve with the family. Space was perfect with a huge balcony! Really grateful we were given the room with the huge balcony. Can’t fault location! Place was clean and had most things you’d need to be comfortable.

On arrival we noticed hand soap dispensers were empty. There was no dishwashing liquid or sponges to wash dishes so we had to request them. We would think these basic supplies would be provided and topped up before guests arrive. We had to pay for a portacot which we thought should be free as hotels and air bnbs we have stayed in wouid provide these free epically when you pay premium prices for the booking already.

Located near public transport, restaurants and easy access to everything. Right near a patrolled beach. We had a great view. The room and beds were comfortable. The staff were very good. Responsive and accommodating. They were friendly and happy. We had a slight glitch with the bedding set up. This was rectified within the hour. The pool was great. Both the pool and spa could have been a bit warmer for me, however, I do like a warm pool.

The only thing that was a bit annoying was the access to the car park. On entry, you need to open your door to enter the access code. It was positioned badly. The one at the exit was fine, the right height and you could reach to enter codes etc.

Location excellent, rooms are quite small but adequate. the rooms are quite different from each other so depends if you are lucky enough to get a newer appointed room. And view, some rooms really have no view, others have view of park and some of the ocean depends where you get allocated. But the plus with this property is its location and ease to move to and from the property.

Booking and flexibility of bookings needs to improve. Also as it is an international chain sometimes you call and get a person that does not have information on your booking as they are either interstate or overseas which is frustrating. My other issue is that it is cheaper to book through Booking.com than direct. Something to be considered in the future.

The apartment was in need of serious maintenance ASAP Needs attention to the kitchen and essentials re: A salad bowl and servers would be nice as we do use the kitchen as a family the drawers fronts wobbling ready to come off fridge cupboard door was unnecessary and annoying to open the actual fridge every time Shower door in ensuite, the hinge to glass door coming away , dropped each time we used the shower Main bathroom A new latch to the door is of urgent replacement ,RE: Our Daughter was locked in this bathroom TV cabinet door broken fell off Dirty behind main bed Re: noticed when pulling out the bed to plug in lamp

Of course the location could not be better. Staff were very friendly and the majority of our room was spotlessly clean.

Unfortunately the level of cleanliness in the bathrooms was less than ideal. There was mold in the shower area and the floor drain. The kitchen cabinets did not close and you could tell that the hotel had seen better days. I reckon this place would have been amazing when it was first built but now is looking a little tired.

Beautifully located with just a short walk to Jetty Road, the tram and supermarkets. Kitchen was compact but had everything we needed. I liked that the apartment was serviced each day, so there were ample dry towels and bathmat. The view from the balcony was the icing on our stay, it was so nice to be near the beach, hear the waves rolling in.

The bathroom is outdated and needs an upgrade soon. Not being able to reach the toilet paper was definitely a lowlight!

Absolutely fantastic location, 10 minutes from airport, 20 from CBD, right on the beach, beside the Marina dining precinct, one block from Jetty Street shopping/restaurant strip. The room was clean & spacious, full size oven, fridge, washer/dryer and bathroom, huge comfy bed, wall of glass and private balcony to enjoy the glorious sunsets over the ocean!

Private secure basement parking was available, but not included in tariff, which I didn't expect due to NOT being in an inner city location. As there is no unlimited street parking or other carpark there was no alternative but to pay which added 13% to the cost. Should have been made clearer when booking

We were very happy with our king room with balcony overlooking the park. Very comfortable bed & had all the facilities we needed, including a kitchenette. Location is excellent being a short walk to the Promenade for a range of different eating places & to Jetty Road for shopping & more restaurants & cafes.

The only negative was our shower was over the bath in our room, which is not safe for seniors. I made mention of this & was told they are gradually upgrading the bathrooms & removing the baths. I am to ask for a room with just a shower next time. Happy with that.

The view of the ocean from floor two was fantastic. The room was comfortable and private

PLEASE: MAKE THE BATHTUB/SHOWER SAFE!!!! The tub having a curved bottom, along with NO bath mat and tile floors, made the large step exiting the tub HORRIBLE! This is an accident waiting to happen, especially for senior people like my wife and me. For less than $100 AUD this could be rectified. An inexpensive anti-slip mat for the tub, and a simple hand bar at the tub exit, would make this so much safer! The other thing we had an issue with is we could not get the dishwasher to work. Simple instructions would have helped. We don't know if we did something in correct or if the dishwasher was broken.
