Cute little motel situated above the Chinese Restaurant in the main street of Apollo Bay. Nice, spacious car park at the back of the motel which was easily accessible and a little laneway to access the main street. Everything was in walking distance from our motel. We checked in after hours, but were given very clear information on how to access our room prior to our arrival. The room and bathroom were both clean and recently refurbished. Bed was also comfortable and warm (for a winters weekend away). Would definitely stay here again

Only thing we didn't like was the fact that the street lights were right outside our window (room with ocean view), which brought in a lot of light during the night, through the crack of the blinds. For someone who is a light sleeper and is sensitive to the light it did make for a little bit of a restless nights sleep, but apart from that, it was a great little room for what we needed over the weekend.

Absolutely loved this stay, all self checkin which is great, directions to the accommodation was brilliant. They have recently renovated so everything was brand new. The bed was so incredibly comfortable, we probably had the best sleep while staying here and the pillows are next level we purchased the exact same ones when we got home. The accommodation is also in the perfect location too all the shops and beach!! I will definitely be coming back this this place

The breakfast offering was truly excellent and provided great value for the money. The room was equipped with all the necessities, and we truly appreciated the eco-friendly and sustainable selection of toiletries and cleaning products. The overall cleanliness and comfort were exceptional. The bed, in particular, provided an excellent night's rest. The motel's location was ideal, allowing us to be in proximity to the beach and shops while enjoying a peaceful atmosphere. Without a doubt, it was the perfect choice for an overnight stop during our Great Ocean Road journey.

I was pleasantly surprised upon entering the room, especially considering the older exterior of the building. The room had been beautifully renovated with a tasteful design. The bed was exceptionally comfortable, and the room was not only clean but also thoughtfully designed, providing everything I needed. The location was excellent, with the beach just across the road and right in the center of everything. Additionally, the breakfast downstairs was absolutely amazing.

The checkin didn’t go smoothly. The details sent through stated the reception was open until 6pm and we were due to arrive between 5 and 6. when we got to the property at 5:45 there was no one there. We called the number and got a text message to say they were on the line with someone else. They then called back and sent a text with the details on how to get the key.They sent these details through to the number on the temporary SIM I have for Australia and not the number the booking is registered to. In addition on checking out the key box was completely unlocked and since all keys have the room number on I think this needs to be looked into. The key box being left unlocked is a security issue.

Great location. Don’t be deceived by the outside. Blue Ocean owners have definitely renovated these rooms very well, and lots of nice finishing touches too! Everything you need in a motel room. Lovely ensuite, good shower, comfortable bed. Effortless self checkin and out.

The bed in the standard double room was very close to the wall which made it difficult for my partner to access. Shame because there would be plenty of room to move the bed over but it’s permanently fixed in place.

The room was very spacious and clean. All facilities very good ( kettle tea, coffee etc small fridge.and iron / board) Stopped two nights The room was cleaned and towels changed after first night which was very nice. Although reception was not staffed, they came after a phone call to sort out the TV and Internet log in , very helpful. Also didn't know till last day the Motel has cafe ( if says on website but its not see when you enter Motel). Cafe on the main road and Chinese . Maybe leave in information left in the room (the information left was very helpful)

We were in Room 3. Views on to roof of next building. The building had a large air conditioning unit on the roof that was going most of night. All accommodation is situated upstairs from the courtyard ( across from reception). So have to take heavy suitcase up stairs. The entrance and hall to all the accommodation is in need of refurbishment. It looks very tried and dead plant at bottom of stairs needs to be removed as well as the door mat (needs new one). S hould maybe put some Apollo Bay sea view pictures on the walls to freshen up. Sorry to make these comments but being in the tourist accommodation industry for many years feel that entrance and hall way lets accommodation down from the well presented bedrooms.

Excellent location opposite the beach. Comfy bed, spacious room. Quiet and clean.

Perhaps update the signage at the entrances as they are at the rear of the Chinese restaurant and they are a little daggy, especially the handwritten one. It's not a great way to welcome people. Once I got inside it was all fine.

Great location in the centre of Apollo Bay. Easy to find and self check in very clear. We were upgraded to The Queen Room which was lovely. The bed was very comfy, the shower hot and it was a nice touch to have cutlery and plates provided and cartons of milk instead of the small pots.

Provide bowls for cereal, though this is a very minor point and doesn't detract from my overall opinion of the room or stay.

Solo traveller, comfortable room & bathroom it was clean & modern. Great location & good value for money.

I was worried when I first arrived, quite old on the outside, initial thought it was backpackers. My room had window with no view, just of roof. However clean, comfortable room & easy walk to shops.
