Immaculate clean room. Good modern facilities. Huge bathroom with twin showers. Pillow overload

Bistro closes 9pm NOT as advertised 9.30pm No operating instructions for the built- in electric blankets. No seating to watch the TV. Very poor check-in procedure with little or no signage and no dedicated staff Check-out even worse. Has to be done in the Bistro, which opens @9pm. When we opened the door we were blown away with how lovely the rooms and bathroom was. It far exceeded my expectations. The breakfast boxes are an outstanding addition. The sheets and bedding - all excellent. Whoever designed the renovation should be congratulated. The exposed brick walls and leadlight glass are gorgeous. The access to the balcony was great. The blinds, lighting and TV worked beautifully. The view overlooking the leafy green tree was beautiful. Parking was easy and we were pleased that it was available. The staff are so helpful. We had a kettle that needed to be replaced and they brought it up within minutes. The spa bath was amazing. We were blown away with how beautiful room 8 + 8a are - amazing value and we are planning to come back.

Very noisy at night. Not the hotel's fault, and the noise wasn't overly obnoxious, but it was VERY loud. It finished right on 11:30. Putting on the airconditioner drowned it out somewhat.

Location was great, accessible to almost everything by foot. Loved the wide shared balcony overlooking main street, great for a drink or a meal. For us the balcony and design were the x-factors that swayed us to choose this accomm and we weren't disappointed. Design of the room, decor and fittings were superb. I suspect they used sustainable materials too (eg bathroom tiles?) which, if true, gets a double bonus from us. Appreciated the efficient and easy check-in when we arrived and even easier check-out. Kitchenette facilities in the room were great; cleverly packed in a lot in the small space while keeping it all very easy on the eye. Ah the joy of thoughtful design! Simple but neat contintental breakfast. All facilities, incl. aircon and overhead fan worked well.

Daylesford is busy with tourists on winter weekends so a little too much road traffic for the balcony to be super relaxed and peaceful. Room is compact so despite great design u still need to be neat and organised. We wished for a few hooks somewhere. No coffee plunger provided so glad we brought our own.

The room had ample space. It was furnished and decorated in a modern style with subtle colour scheme. The bathroom was spacious, with a huge double shower. Everything was spotlessly clean. I stayed during winter and was kept warm and comfortable with the room heater and electric blanket.

I found that there was some noise that carried up from the hotel's pub and gaming rooms, which were underneath my room. I always travel with earplugs which I used for sleeping, and was out for most of the day, but I would have liked a quieter room for relaxing in the evenings. Anyone wanting peace and quiet might like to check ahead regarding room location.

gorgeous big comfortable room , lovely bed. So hospitable with generous freebies for visitors. Right in the heart of daylesford. Plenty of freash air. loved the access to the balcony, big windows.

Only flaw was the lights in main street, so not super dark in my balcony room, but worth it to have access to the balcony.

Location was great. Very clean and staff very friendly. Good provision of cups and even great wine glasses. Breakfast came in a box and was sufficient, there was plenty of tea and coffee and good wine glasses too.

Access to the veranda would have been great, there are seats available but no access for many of the rooms.

Perfect location, very close to the shops and cafés. Comfortable and clean rooms. We liked the little breakfast starter kits and the room had everything we needed.

It would have been nice if there was a warmer duvet. The bedding consisted of a sheet, blanket and bedspread. There are electric blankets as well, so it wasn't cold, but a duvet would have been more comfortable.

The room was stunning! We were so excited when we went in and saw the beautiful bed, the stunning bathroom and how spacious it was! The location was fabulous and the staff were so friendly and helpful!

The only improvement I would suggest is offering a buffet breakfast or similar in the hotel downstairs for guests. Apart from that, everything was perfect!

problem with check in. we booked 2 bedroom deluxe but when we entered room second bedroom was locked. we needed to sort it out with staff and showed them what we booked/paid for. we felt the attitude was a bit ordinary from one of the staff about the situation. but it got sorted and key was handed over to second bedroom

very good renovation dinner and staff were very helpful young positive energy and approachable the young chap who checked us in and out was very good and actually asked for feedback we were very impressed with the value for the price the only thing that reduced our enjoyment were the continued early morning wake ups every time the large trucks went through the roundabout. it was only a problem in our corner room. the other room was quiet

the outdoor tables needed a better clean. they had areas of grease on them and flies seemed to like hanging around. a good clean with a citrus based cleaner might make a difference. also the carpet on the stairs looked like it needed a decent steam clean.
