Good location. Big room. Large private area where you can walk around. We also had one day entry tickets to Kryal castle included in our stay. We enjoyed shows and entreatments at the castle. At the check-in staff member was very helpful and friendly. We stayed at winter so heating was provided in the room and bathroom so we stayed warm all the time.

There was no free water and cookies as mentioned. Later we found out from reception that the information provided in the room about complimentary bar was outdated but it was not removed or changed what makes people confused. The service was not done qualitatively, only garbage was removed from the bucket. Towels were not replced, bar and bath amenities were not stocked. At the checkout I mentioned to the receptionist that there are some dust on the fan, ect… Staff said okay, didn’t put any notice to clean it later and even didn’t say sorry for that.

I took the kids here to celebrate our sons bday. We travelled for the horse baroque festival held at kryal. The event itself was brilliant. The whole location was fantastic. As a mum, the standout was actually staying within the castle at Kryal. Hands down the best decision. Being able to wander after dinner and during sunrise was an absolute joy for the kids. The room was described perfectly and was exactly what I expected. Being able to access the festival before checkin and still having access after checkout without added fees was fantastic. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The site store holders were also really friendly. It was just a wonderful trip. Thankyou Kryal.

The only negative is that the festival toilets (not the room toilet) was needing a really good clean, even at the start of the day they were really unclean. That's the only negative. There was always soap, always toilet paper, just grubby. The whole site though was very clean, lots of bins around.

The facilities in the King Suite with Spa was amazing. There were enough beds for total of 6 people. Amenities in the room were great. Room was very clean and tidy. The great thing is that the park is accessible for children when open and closed for guests. Maze was fabulous. Park gardens were very picturesque. The playground was great. Grounds very tidy. Staff were super friendly. Children absolutely loved it as so much fun with lots to explore. Having stayed at Kryal Castle was a great experience and super fun for all our family members. Highly recommend as a very unique experience.

We loved the experience of staying in a real castle! Access to facilities while the park was not open to public, 2 out of 4 of our children are neurodivergent so crowds and loud theatrics are not always there thing, they absolutely loved to be able to look around without the stress. Friendly staff. Plenty of parking. Easy access to come and go. Loved the maze. Loved the playground. Love the mote and the drawbridge/entryway. Definitely be returning for another trip.

Would have liked a bit more space in our room however we will choose a different one next time opportunity we get to visit. Nothing we didn't like!

Overall, our overnight stay at Kryal Castle was a delightful journey into the past, combining history, entertainment, and luxury. The room was very clean and tidy when I walked in, the bathroom had the biggest bath i have seen in such a long time. Everything about the stay was fantastic, from the ease of booking, the ease of checkin, and knowing I was arriving late, the details provided, and follow up provided was absolutely fantastic.

There were some signs that the seals around the tiles for the bath had separated, and the water pressure was very low, so it took a very very very long time to fill the spa bath. These were only minor things, and did not take away at all from the stay, or quality of the facilities, just general feedback to pass along.

The bed is super comfy and the heat stays in the room - but there's also an electric blanket if you need. Such a cool, niche experience; we love walking the grounds after hours. The view out over the paddocks is gorgeous! Self check in is super easy and convenient.

The shower's water pressure was pretty weak and the bathroom is absolutely freezing, unless you pump the separate heater in there too. It is a bit of a drive into town with no real shops or restaurants nearby so will definitely need to come prepared or have a car and able to drive the 10-15 minutes into Ballarat central.

We liiked staying in a castle that was cool. The room was clean bed was cosy. We had a court yard. It was a cold weekend so would have been hard to keep any room warm. I think we would be back but not for 2 nights.

Not a case of I didn't like but just peeved us. The door to the guest area scared us every time we used it,it slams pretty hard. The bathroom wall leaked and flooded the floor during a storm. Typical castle. The door closed but left a big enough gap for the wind to come in,the curtain hooks are missing so I had to move them around to cover the gap. Breakfast was not mentioned but in the compendium inside the guest door.(no compendium in room)mentions a free continental breakfast or $12 off breakfast if you mention room number. No one asked room number. I read this as we were leaving. Paid 50 for 2 in a cold hall and paid extra for coffee. Asked about heat was told if open longer they would light fire. We think it all could do with a overhaul.

You get free access to the castle attractions after you check out or before you check in all included in the price which is really good! Even tho we were only a couple this stay we have 7 children and ABSOLUTELY loved that the bunk room attached to our master bedroom would have slept upto 12 children all in one accessible room to us without having to have any kids sleep away from us or in separate dwellings.

Breakfast buffet booked for 9am didn’t come out until 9.15am and made it abit of a rush to get back to the room and pack up in time for 10am check out. Some parts of the castle or facilities could be less cluttered looking and really make this place pop.

Loved the location & quiet aspect of the property. Beds were comfortable and linen was nice & clean. Enjoyed access to the park at all hours and our 4 teenagers wanted to explore longer , but we had to leave for a wedding . staff friendly and helpful Having extra shower and toilet facilities down the hall was handy as well as two key cards . Late check -in was trouble free

Our GPS took us to the back car park which was confusing in the dark;eventually we found the main entrance . Commanders quarters with 3 bunks was very small ( other than bed capacity ) and realistically too small for our family of 6 to sit and watch tv at night and have toast /cereal in the morning ( nowhere to sit ) . There was only enough bowls for 4 and spoons for two people . Kettle couldn’t be filled in the bathroom as would fit under the tap , but we problem solved .
