Typical quite good motel room

The motel had no record of our booking through Booking.com. When they checked the booking reference number, there was a message along the lines of “this booking was not passed on to your office because of server maintenance”. Whether this was your issue or theirs, I do not know. But I would think that if the message was not sent successfully, it should be resent later until successful, or followed up in person. Booking.com gets a commission for doing a job. They need to ensure that the job is done.

Overall I would say we had awesome experience. The apartment was nice, specious especially the beds were super comfy. Kitchenette, cook top, Air con, TV etc were all working fine, as expected

* Parking lots were were limited, so unless you secure yours at a right time you won't get it otherwise! * Complimentary WiFi had very limited connectivity in my apartment, only in front room closest to the lobby area.

Everything you needed for a short stay. Stairs a little steep for case carrying, but you can request a ground floor room. Tea and coffee facilities good, nice shower and comfy beds. Pool looked fresh but we didn't have time to use.

No room for negotiation on changing dates or refunds after we missed a day due to a hospital admission . Otherwise no other criticism.

Location was very good, comfortable bed, new quiet air conditioner was excellent.

No plug in the sink to assist with washing dishes, toilet cistern was running slowly all the time, bottom of the shower screen was dirty along the bottom track. Mould around the bottom base of the shower. To shave in the bathroom the down lights near the mirror were not the best.

Great kitchen area to use. Being on a road trip it was good to be able to cook a meal rather than another meal out. Close proximity to the waterfront was great as well

Nobody to speak to at check in, but this seemed to be the norm for the time of year, anything after about 4pm seemed to be classed as a "late" check in

Great location close to shops and cafes. Beach in walking distance. The room was a great size and extremely well equipped, it has everything you would need. Plenty of off street parking available.

There was a very bright, unattractive light bulb that hung low and was in an odd place. It could not be turned off without turning off the entrance lights as well. Didn't cause any problem though as there was alternative ambient lighting.

I was surprised at the size of the room. Plenty of space. Bed was very comfortable and I slept very well. No street noise or noise from hotel next door. Pool looked inviting and I'm sure it's very popular in Summer. Room was well equipped with crockery & cutlery. Was great being able to walk next door to the hotel for an excellent meal.

No microwave especially when there is so much room for one. Neighbours were extremely noisy with lots of swearing from 6:30am until they left at 8:30am.

We travelled to Lakes Entrance for my partners birthday celebrations. The Central Hotel Motel made our stay very memorable, and the staff went out of their way to ensure we had a great stay. The restaurant and its staff are exceptional and the bar staff some of the friendliest we have met. Would totally recommend a stay here.

The only downside is we had to go home!🤣

Size of room and bed configuration were good for us 2 who aren’t a couple..

Decor a bit drab and the room finish a tiny bit rough round the edges ( ie 2 randomly mismatched floor tiles in shower - like, anything will do! ) but in saying that it really was clean comfortable and very functional so we were happy.

The late arrival staff were excellent and very welcoming. The room was excellent, large, bright and very comfortable. Dinner in the attached restaurant was excellent. The motel is situation just across the road from the quayside. Wish we could have stayed longer.
