I arrived just before the office closed for the night and left before dawn the next morning but I had the best and longest sleep I'd had in months. I guess that was partly because I was pretty tired but the bed played a bigger part for sure. Often the doonas are wayyy too heavy but the one on my bed was absolutely the PERFECT weight. Seemed as light as a feather but enough to keep me warm on a very cold night. Oh, I did turn on the heating a bit so it played a part as well but that doona was definitely the highlight. Lastly but also importantly, the owner/manager was lovely and welcoming.

Comfortable beds, modernised bathroom, helpful staff, WiFi worked well. I would definitely book this place again for an overnight stop on the road. It was a bargain and the bed was very comfortable. They have modernised the things that needed changing. the bathroom has clearly been refitted, there was a modem in the room, the electric sockets were all new, electrical appliances looked new. Walls plastered so it felt cosier than your average brick-walled motel and no gap under the door either 😁.

Small room. Place obviously done up on a budget - absolutely fine for us and as I say the things that matter have been redone but don't expect a swanky place and it has a retro vibe still.

Located just outside Sale. Good destination to explore Sale by car. Also good location to explore surrounding areas. The room was quite, comfy beds and pillows, microwave, toaster & kettle functioned well. Excellent hot water and water pressure in well renovated bathroom . Great place for a couple of nights while exploring Gippsland, Ninety mile beaches and the high country.

Not walking distance to shops but parking in town was plenty and so we could easily drive to shops.

good location and quite. rooms looked over lovely grass area with porch to sit on and have coffee also pool etc very nice. lovely bathrooms. rooms generally good.

No top sheet on bed which is a first for me when staying in motels. carpet was very stained and paint pealing on ceiling but not flaking off. had to ask for fresh towels every day as we stayed 5 nights. staff very accommodating when we asked for them just feel we shouldn’t have to ask fir fresh towels every day. no garbage bags supplied to change bins. a lot of first for me as I used to work for a large motel chain (now retired) and those things would not have passed then. also while bottom sheet clean there was a clear blood stain on mattress protector.

Very friendly staff, allowed us to use their fishing and crabbing equipment free of charge

From time of arrival and the entire duration of our 4 night stay we couldn’t of been any happier with the Wurruk Motel, The Amazing customer service we received daily from Mary and Joseph. They made us feel so welcome and were extremely easy to deal with, we would highly recommend to anyone looking for place to stay and we will be back again soon.. love you guys

The size of the car parks was huge and no chance of others hitting my car. The staff were awesome the lady at reception meet me at the door when I was handing the key back and greeted me in such a pleasant way. The room was better than many others which are priced at double the cost. The view from the window was also very appealing. The TV is large and newish and the bathroom has a great shower. In all, I will be staying again when I'm down that way for work or holidays.

Really there was nothing I was upset with.

Breakfast was not an option at the hotel but we found a lovely coffee shop in Sale. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was clean and very efficient. The woman (owner) we spoke to when we checked in at reception was very friendly and helpful and told us about restaurants that were open for dinner in Sale. She also contacted us after we left about a couple of items that our friend had forgotten in her room...very nice to have that kind of attentive follow up and service.

It would have been nice to have had a fan in the room, they did have AC but a fan would have been great as it wasn't that hot so we didn't really need to use the AC.

rooms were good for family with one queen bed and two single beds and a long shelf/table kind running along the wall , then a small partition for mini fridge and microwave and there is shelf/table there also, where you can keep food items and shower and toilet are together and the room is very spacious and looks like it’s recently renovated. and there is shared laundry and kitchen (was little dirty and definitely needs proper washing few utensils before using) and large free space for walking around

The location is about 5 minutes drive out of Sale, this wasn't a problem. The motel has rooms around a green space with trees and grass, and a pool. It was quiet at this time of year, loved the train sounds twice a day. Bathroom has been renovated and work seemed to be continuing in other ways.

For self catering, some crockery and cutlery would have been handy in the room. The room is not serviced every day, which wasn't a major problem, you need to ask at reception if you need anything. You take your rubbish to the big bins.
