The area is beautiful and quiet, which is why we stayed here. To get away from the busy and loud lives we lead. It was definitely what we needed. I loved waking up near a forest to the sound of birds. 👌

We were up in arms about whether to bring our dogs, as this is a pet friendly place. In the end, we didn't and were glad as this particular (honeymoon) suite would have been a little cramped if we had. However, I did get a look at 1 of the other suites it was a lot more roomy and probably would have worked.

Top quality furnishings, utilities, and decor as part of a stately house in beautiful gardens with a magnificent view through a forest and overlooking rich farmland to the horizon. An excellent location. Ample breakfast food stuffs. Gracious hosts. This lodge could be featured in an edition of Homes and Gardens

Smallish B&B rooms with en-suite facilities. Very comfortable. Good aircon and heating with blinds if you wanted a sleep in. Breakfast provisions supplied if you booked the B&B option. Bacon, Eggs, bread, butter etc. Very generous.

Not Much. Enjoyed the stay and would go back. Kitchen a little cramped.

The breakfast was great - really enjoyed having the food there for the morning. It was lovely and they provided everything you might need like coffee, juices, eggs, bacon, pancake mix!

The only thing I didn’t like was that the tv wasn’t smart - it would be great to hook up Netflix to it!

It's wonderful place to stay and have quiet time in nature and take a break from the bustle of the city. Good breakfast was included to our room rate so we could enjoy our stay in full. Very nice and caring owner, suggests popular places for dinner, ensures a comfortable stay for guests. We are greatly appreciated our stay there, sure we will be back again.

The light on top of our door didn’t work so we could not unlock our door easily after arriving back in the night

Wow wow wow, the garden suite that we stayed in was absolutely beautiful, clean fresh modern well presented. The breakfast items we were left were just delicious and Steve was very attentive.

The only issue we had was we were on a relaxing break and didn't attempt the shower until 11ish, by this time there was not any hot water left.

Items for breakfast were provided.

The host provided eggs and other items. We had to cook our own breakfast in the room. It would have been nice if the host supplied breakfast to all guests in the common kitchen.

The room was as expected and we were lucky enough to get a peek in the more luxurious rooms on our departure, we will be returning! The views are beautiful from the balcony in the main house, the garden is big and absolutely gorgeous; there was a real opportunity to embrace the quietness but also the birds’ songs and letting go for a couple of nights !
