This old school motel is a little gem, especially if you are a fan of 1960s motel nostalgia. Lots of eye candy for lovers of the retro look. On the practical side, the motel has everything you would need for a very comfortable stay. Rooms are very clean and include a microwave. There is also a communal kitchen if you wish to save money and cook your own meals. The pool looked so inviting . . . I shall definitely use it when the weather warms up a little more. The owner is on hand and very helpful should you need assistance with anything.

It was neat & clean, the shower had plenty of space, water pressure good, bed was comfortable & so were the chairs. Overall the room had everything we needed, it was just a little old in style which kind of added to it's charm.

There was a lot of traffic noise, which we are not used to, the room was on the small side & even though it had air conditioning we would of liked to have the door open for fresh air - perhaps fly screen door would be nice. Neither of us liked the pillows for some reason

You must bare in mind when booking this motel that it is a very old motel, but you would find it hard to locate one that is cleaner than this. We didn't expect that, at this price point, our room would be serviced daily. Lovely surprise to pop back to our room and find the bed had been made and the towels changed. Lovely staff and eventhough, I didn't meet the owner, my husband said that he too was very nice. Located on the outskirts of town. First place as we came in.

The lights are not turned down at night, so a little too bright for me. Also the mattress was a bit too hard, but I have slept on mattresses in other motels/hotels where I could have slept on the floor and been more comfortable. But, both of these are my issues.

For an ‘old school’ motel, it is incredibly clean, well run, and has everything you could need for a very comfortable stay. This was my second time here and I’ll definitely be back again. Being hot summer weather during my stay, the pool was a godsend. I also appreciated the crisp white bed linen.

There was nothing really that I didn’t like about the property. It is located on the outskirts of town but this wasn’t as issue for me, in fact it makes for a more spacious and peaceful property. The step up to the front door is unusually high.

Couple that run it are great, I am an older citizen and they reminded me of olden days when you could understand the motel people and vise versa. Older style Motel, but everything was great and clean and spacious.. It's a bit out of the main drag of the town so you need a car to get to anywhere. I was traveling around by car so it didn't bother me.

Nicely presented, well equipped (especially liked the plastic box containing, plates, cutlery etc), a spacious room with all comforts. There was a separate kitchen under the roof line of the motel but we didn't see it until we were leaving. An excellent idea.

The location is on the edge of town so a couple of kms from the city centre. This can be an advantage of course, it didn't bother us.

An interesting and quirky property. As we pulled in we were not overly optimistic but it is a place which requires closer examination. Very friendly owner greeted us and he had turned on the air conditioner in our room as it was an extremely hot day. The motel is quite old but our room was clean, the bed was comfortable and everything we required was available in the room. Don’t be put off by the unusual exterior colour combination of the property.

Spotlessly clean. Friendly service, guest kitchen and a laundry available. Out of town location. Has a pool and nice BBQ area. (Being greeted by Mickey when I walked into reception!).

I like the place. You do need to know it is on the highway and has a train line opposite so expect some noise. But it is pretty quiet between 10pm and 7am

While I didn't see any staff, I received instructions on the day of my arrival that were clear. A little dated, however, I had a clean room and bathroom, good shower, comfy bed, tea/coffee in room and it felt secure. That's what I needed and that's what I got, so perfectly happy with my stay.

The owner was lovely. The room was clean and well priced, with it only being a 5min drive to the town of Swan Hill. The aircon worked well and the swimming pool was clean and refreshing. We'll definitely be coming back in the future. It was also easy to find on the main rd as it's a quirky bright purple coloured building.

Could do with an updated paint job in the room but for the price it's pretty reasonable (took me back to our family trips, staying at motels when I was a kid so a nice trip down memory lane)...the main things for me was that our room was clean and the owner was really nice :)
