Even though the hotel is right on the main thoroughfare through Warrnambool, the double glazed windows meant the room was whisper quiet. We just needed a place to rest for the night and that’s certainly what we got. Very clean, very comfortable mattress, black out curtains, clean modern bathroom, friendly staff, everything you need for a good night’s sleep.

The PowerPoint for my mobile phone, etc. was behind the bedside table and the bedside tables are screwed into the walls - meaning the PowerPoint can’t be accessed. The large bedside lamps are likewise glued to the centre of the tables, so can’t be moved aside to make space - in my case for a sleep apnea machine I need to have next to my bed. This is by no means a complaint. It’s just a sad reminder of the society we live in, that premises’ need to bolt down their assets so people don’t steal them.

The Manager was very kind and rectified an issue that occurred that left us without a room on our wedding night He was very understanding of the severity of the situation and upgraded our room to the honeymoon suite, gave us a bottle of wine and waved the costs of some mini bar items and reimbursed the emergency hotel that we stayed at the night before. If this happened any other night I would of rated 10. The manager’s service and kindness he showed in rectifying the situation was 10 out of 10 though.

Even though all the things that that were done to rectify the issue and the apologies that were genuine, this was our wedding night and we were stuck in our car trying to call the hotel for a long time with no answer. So my wife and I believe the rating of 8.5 is very fair. Would recommend an after hours number.

I found the room and facilities all in good order. The bathroom and bedroom were very clean. Generous tea and coffee facilities with extra sugar (bonus!). Considering we were on a main road, there was very little road-noise. the front staff were very friendly and explained what the room was like and how to operate Wi-Fi etc.

The spa was dirty.... Not that I would have used it but finding hair inside the spa didn't make it inviting.

The friendly staff helped to confirm our last-minute booking. The rooms were clean and had all the basic necessities for a short stay. Free parking on premises plus the booking cost was affordable.

Some of the fittings were a bit outdated/worn, but otherwise in good and usable condition. The entrance/exit is on an awkward corner, but it's not that bad.

Comfort Inn had everything you would expect from a motel, however it did not have that dirty motel feel that some can not hide. Rooms were superbly clean and tidy, little soaps/hand washes always a nice touch, fresh sheets and extra linen and pillows in the cupboard. We very much enjoyed our night here and was the perfect rest stop after a long day exploring the Great Ocean Road

We had two "identical" rooms, however they did differ in a few ways. One room had a smart TV, where as the other did not, not a huge deal, but as we were there for a night in, it did limit viewing options

The bed was very comfortable and the room was clean.

I didn't realize there would be an extra $25 charge to pick up the key early when I didn't want to go into the room. This was only needed as I was going to be coming back late that night. I forgot there would be road noise and could hear conversations in the next room. This is to be expected I guess.

The location of the property and that there is ample parking. Rooms are spacious and quiet even though the property is located on a busy road.

There is not support staff or someone around for help regarding the locality or other questions being someone new to the area and travelling for leisure.

The room was very clean and it was great having the spa bath which we used over the 2nights we were there. It was big enough as well to fit two people comfortably! The price was just right as well and the location of the motel was very central to everything. Would book again!

Minor downsides were the size of the TV which was very small at 32" so that might be an issue if you're a family with kids to entertain! Also water pressure/temperature seemed to be affected by other units? Apart from that we were happy with the place!

The rooms were very clean, and set up well. All facilities were well maintained and clean.

The car parks at the front of our room was used late by a vehicle with reversing bells and flashing lights late at night which woke myself and my children. other than that it was great.

Extremely comfortable bed. Great hosts, very friendly and helpful. Good sized spa. Sea views which were good to watch the weather coming in. Spacious lounge. Easy car parking. Great value for money.
