Mahogany Motel

Rooms are exactly as depicted, slightly dated, but in a very clean state. Great storage for luggage so it’s not in your way. Loved that the showers have been replaced at some point, so there is no tiles or grout for mould. Soothed my OCD! Room service was phenomenal, restocked supplies daily as we used them, made our beds and replaced towels. The super friendly staff were so accomodating and supportive of our son with ASD. Helped us out heaps when he had a couple accidents along our stay. It’s also in a great location where you can walk to the city centre. Overall, a great place to stay!

Ceilings could use a fresh coat of white paint to help brighten the rooms as the lighting is only fluorescents… and maybe a touch of paint on a couple doors with scuffs, but other than little cosmetic touches, cannot fault the accomodation!!

Our accommodation was great. We enjoyed our stay very much. It was very clean. Bed was super comfy. Curtains kept the light out, so I had a good sleep in. Wifi was excellent. Bathroom was very clean. Water pressure was excellent. Very quiet room. The location was great. I walked every morning to the walking path which went along the beach. All the shops including pubs, retail, restaurants and supermarkets were all within a short walking distance. The staff there were very friendly and helpful. Excellent value for money. We will definitely stay there again. Highly recommend it.

The rooms where very clean and so were the linens. too. The property manager was very kind to accomodate my request to provide a room on ground floor to accomodate my request as my father who is 85 years was staying with us and could use less stairs. Also the property is located on the main road with easy access to beaches and other facilities like supermarkets and food joints.

Only thing as a family we preferred to have was the master bed to be placed in a room with doors, this one was a open floor plan, possibly because we requested for a room on the ground floor.

It was a really nice clean room with a comfortable bed. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly at all times and went out of their way to make us feel welcome and relaxed.

The pillows could do with an update as they were a bit uncomfortable. It probably should be stated in the description that the spa only fits one person. In the photos and the description “corner spa” appears to be larger than it actually is but for the price of the room we were still happy.

Very friendly staff and the rooms were comfortable. You can even cook meals as kitchenette is in the room. toilets were neat and clean.

I will be too critical if I write this as I think it was not a major concern, but there was no mesh window in the room( where two single beds were) and we could not open the window for the main bedroom for some fresh air. Would appreciate if a room spray is provided in future.But as I said it was not a problem as the room had very good air conditioning.

We checked in late at about 10:30pm no keys required as there is a code for entering, staff were brilliant sms code and wifi password. Wifi was good and staff very friendly. We walked around into the main strip for dinner it wasn't very far.

There isn't a lot of room for young kids to run around, there is a common area which has a little play area, sitting area and it's grassed. There is also a BBQ out there which is brilliant. Parking can be a little tight but we always got a park.

We have stayed at this location previously. Very nice room, very clean, plenty of space. Extra blankets even though we didn’t need to use them.

Beds firmer than we are familiar with, not good for the back but no lingering discomfort during the day. No fault of the motel but the upstairs guests were extremely inconsiderate of guests under their room. Had to door knock and stop the elephant stampede at 10.30 p.m.

Staff were very friendly, and accommodating the family room was a great size. The rooms were clean, and the outside courtyard was a lovely spot

It is all on split levels and no wheel chair access, but we were made aware of this, and the staff did everything to accommodate this with us.

Such a nice little motel, the staff were amazing! my car had a flat battery in the morning after my first night and Cindy one of the cleaning staff was wonderful, she offered to jumpstart my car for me but alas! it was a new battery I needed after all our efforts but I felt so looked after and the staff were all so helpful 😊 thank you! will stay again! 😀

☹️ bathroom didn’t open from inside, so I ended up locked inside until my husband rescued me, 🙁 also was no light in the kitchen area, 😕 old style sinks, with separate cold and hot water
