OMG just loved this place , have walked past it so many times . Loved the history of The Warders, the rooms the way they were styled, being next to Emily Taylors , the breakfast option was SO good,, The Gimlet we loved and the staff Nathan, Elva and Sam thank you !

Fabulous stay at Warders Fremantle. Lovely quiet and large rooms, walk to everything in Freo. We hired bikes to explore and they were stored safely. Big bed and beautiful amenities. Emily Taylor's, Fremantle Prison and Markets all within a few steps. Would return.

We had a room on the ground floor and it was a bit dark but not private when we opened the door. The bottom room terrace privacy could be made better by a hedge or higher fence. Would ask for upstairs next time.

The property is in an excellent location. Restaurants, market, shops and beaches easily accessible. It was clean and well managed for our stay. Some nice hospitality touches a Voucher for free drink (Beer, Wine or Soft drink) at the Gimlet Gin Bar & morning Coffee/Tea/ Hot Choc or Chai with a pastry was a nice start to the day. Sparkling and still water on tap and coffee pod machine available in room. We really enjoyed our stay hope to return.

One side of the bed is close to the fire place, which maybe slightly inconvenient if you are a larger person but understandable due to utilising space in a historic building.

Amazing location, right next to Fremantle Markets. Easy check in, and staff were very friendly. Nice small selection of beer/wine in the fridge ready for you when you check in. Really nice vibes. Free coffee+muffin vouchers for in-house cafe.

The room floors were very dusty and definitely in need of a much better clean. Walkway to the rooms are not sheltered so when it rains you are getting wet. Free drink vouchers at the bar, but the bar closes really early, before dinner time.

Fantastic location right at the entrance to the Fremantle markets and metres from a huge selection of restaurants. Even though we were right in the middle of thriving Sunday market crowds, the room we had upstairs was super quiet with double glazing. The rooms were tastefully restored old prison warden rooms. Funky features and luxe fittings. The free still and sparkling water was a bonus and the included coffee and pastry breakfast was delicious in the funky bar downstairs.

A tiny bit of maintenance required in the bathroom. The grout needed redoing in some places. Also the light and fan in the bathroom were on a sensor, so a little bit annoying when it came on at night disturbing the other person.

We really enjoyed our stay. The beautifully renovated heritage cottages are charming and well appointed. We appreciated the complimentary access to the minibar and the availability of free still and sparkling water for guests was a nice touch. We also loved the little bar, Gimlet, and had an excellent dinner at the Emily Taylor restaurant. Both added to the experience.

The only downside is the hotel is a little hard to find, especially the reception area. We checked in on a market day, and finding parking while figuring out where to go was a bit of a nightmare (you will need patience). Although we booked parking, it wasn’t clear where to go until we found reception.

Rooms are lovely, hotel is in a great location within Fremantle. Walking distance to FOMO arcade complex for kids, close to hundreds of great restaurants and bars, 10 minute walk to waterfront. Free welcome drink at Gimlet altho we didn’t get a chance to do this. Items in bar fridge (2 beers, 2 soft drinks, a kit Kat and a small red wine bottle) all free.

A bit more of an actual breakfast would be good or an explanation of what was possible/included as “breakfast” for guests at Gimlet I.e could juice be substituted for coffee, what types of pastries are available for guests as opposed to customers. And it would be great to have the option of having the coffee and pastries delivered to the rooms. Very noisy at night and early morning with fairly loud air con, rubbish truck, street sweeper etc but this largely part and parcel with central location next to markets.

Amazing location and able to walk everywhere in Fremantle and lovely to be next door to the markets. Loved being about to pop out the front entrance into Henderson street. It was a real bonus and convenient to have breakfast voucher and drinks at the Gimlet included. Loved the sparkling water on tap and being part of the history of the place. The master bedroom was gorgeous.

We used a family room and the unfortunately the bunk beds were too thin and uncomfortable for a teenager and an adult. Having thicker mattresses would solve this. The bathroom movement activated bright light shone through the inlet window onto the bunk beds in the night when anyone used the bathroom. It was be great to have a curtain over this to close in the night.

My husband and I came to celebrate our anniversary and the show we had booked was cancelled. Thankfully, our room was right next to Gimlet, where we had the most gorgeous cocktails and dumplings. A very special little place, indeed. The room was immaculate, and we adored the sparkling water tap. The bed, devine. The complimentary breakfasts and sundown drinks were a wonderful addition. The service is impeccable. And the markets are just steps away from the front entrance. We had secure parking, which was fantastic during the busy weekend. Dont book if you can not appreciate the hustle and bustle of Freo or if you do not understand what a nightlife is. It can get exciting. However, the double paned door and window made a world of difference. Thank you for making our stay so memorable, we look forward to returning soon.

Very pleasantly surprised at the nature of the set up. It was quirky in some aspects but overall extremely welcoming. All staff we met were also very pleasant, service with a smile.

We stayed in 37U. The room was excellent with just one little minor detail that we considered would make the room more, let’s say, easier to navigate. That was the position of the bed. It was very close to what we believe was an old fireplace and hindered access to and from the bed, especially during the night.
