Good location.

Pretty interior and nice location were more than enough for me. However, its unique design interior might be improved somehow. I stayed in the top floor room. Its bathroom is located across the corridor on the same floor. Although my room was the only one room on the top floor, to go to bathroom, I had to lock the bedroom door every time. It was a little troublesome. The bathroom could be locked from inside, not from outside. Considering that it is facing the corridor, I would say that it is not completely exclusive for this room guest. However, it was very comfortable stay. I would like to visit this hotel again. Thank you.

The location is amazing - can walk to everything. The building was beautiful - old heritage in Freo. Loved having a bath - made life easy with kids

For the price, I would’ve thought we’d have got a cooked breakfast. The room wasn’t ready when we checked in at 2:15 and we had to wait 15 mins. I asked for a late checkout and a receipt via the booking messenger and the owner/ manager never replied. The toilet was super noisy and groaned a lot at night, but I guess that’s just an old building! We requested breakfast at 8 but it arrived closer to 8:30 and the kids were hangry by then 🤪

Looks rough from the outside. But the inside is beautifully appointed and calm. I didn’t know to look in the chat function on Booking.com app so initially we couldn’t get in and no one answered our calls. Later all was resolved. Also, being American, I thought first floor meant ground floor so we were very surprised (negatively) to have to lug suitcases up a steep double stairway to the first floor. Again, my misunderstanding so not the property’s fault!!

We loved staying in such an amazing historic building. Our room was spacious and the bed was comfortable. We had a private bathroom down the hall. Our host was so friendly and welcoming. We really enjoyed the delicious breakfast of fresh fruit and cereals, toast and great coffee.

I felt that the front steps leading into the building should have had a handrail as the steps were quite steep when carrying suitcases. Although it didn’t matter to us, people booking need to know that there are very steep stairs leading to all the rooms. We opted to leave our heavy suitcases in the car and only bring hand luggage

Location was good. Breakfast was fine though would suggest having a breakfast bar to help yourself rather than waiting for the lady to individually prepare each tray. House and rooms were well kept and had character. Good instructions to get in to property. Had netflix.

Our room was at the top of the house and was a bit dark. Had to decide what you wanted for breakfast the night before and at what time. Not many coat hangers. A fan in the room would be a welcome addition. (Though it had aircon). Music at midnight from nearby pub kept me awake for a while. I thought the accommodation would be further enough away from the centre to alleviate that problem. Not fault of accommodation but be aware.

Breakfast was delicious and the setting very nice. Loved our room overlooking the road with the light coming in in the morning and the sounds of Fremantle waking up. A chair ( or two) would have been wonderful but realise there was no room. Our private bathroom down the corridor was a bit of a challenge for people of a certain age who get up several times a night but we got used to it. All in all our stay was great fun and the history of the building added an extra spark! Great location. And Susan was delightful

The history of the building was amazing. Built in 1902 with VERY high ceilings. Heritage listed. Close to 2 museums. Close to beach and the Round house. Short walk to markets and little further to the jail. Lots of restaurants and bars nearby. Good size bathroom. Bed and pillows very good. Plenty of USB ports. Nice continental breakfast with fresh fruit salad.

Bedroom a little small. Had to put bags in the bathroom. Long flight of stairs to room.

Breakfast was cereal, yoghurt, fruit, juice and toast and was presented in a beautiful manner. The young man making breakfast was very friendly and happy to chat. The room was comfortable and very suited to our one night stay. Very centrally located to beachfront and city centre.

Parking is a problem, with the paid parking outside the B&B only available for 3 hours. We had to park around the corner after 5pm for free overnight parking. Stairs could be a problem for some guests.

Perfectly placed for a prompt start the next day to get to Rottnest Island. We were also able to leave one of our suitcases to pick up later so we didn’t have to take it back and forth on the ferry. Tastefully decorated and incredibly comfortable bed! The continental brekky was very tasty and we liked being able to specify our choices in advance.

The mirror on the bathroom door clattered every time it was opened or closed - would recommend fastening it down a little more securely!

The Continental breakfast is fresh and wonderful with hot coffee.

It would be better if it is clearly stated on the website that some rooms have private bathrooms but they are not ensuites which mean they are outside of your bedroom. The manager is very kind to switch our booking to one with ensuite bathroom since it is available. There is no secure luggage storage but our luggage is safely there for our return to pick up.
