What a wonderful hotel! The staff was friendly. There was a lift in addition to easy to navigate stairs. We had 2 rooms in a suite with a main door. One had a lovely balcony! The rooms were much bigger than the pictures appeared online! Each room had a decent bathroom with a window and a shower and ample counter space. There was a mini fridge in each room also. The hotel's free parking just outside made arriving and leaving easy. Also, there is a bus stop very close, 5 minute walk from the hotel with simple access to the city. Also, there is a Lidl grocery store next to the bus stop as well as a convenience store across the street from the bus stop. We did not eat at the hotel restaurant.

The reception staff was wonderful! She provided very good information and was so patient with each of our questions. It was so nice to have a restaurant attached to the hotel where we could enjoy a wonderful meal sitting outside the night we arrived. It was getting late and we had not eaten and so fantastic to have a meal before unloading our bags. Parking was great. Our room and the entire hotel was clean, comfortable and great. Breakfast was great! Loved the dining area where we ate. We highly recommend Hotel Kohlpeter!!

We are family of 5 (parents with kids: 14,13,11). We stayed for 1 night just before leaving Austria. We took 2 rooms as there was no option for all of us. The rooms were very clean, equipped with a small refrigerator; beds were comfortable; air condition was excellent; Very friendly and helpful staff; free parking in front of the hotel. Since we came on Sunday, we decided to leave the car at the hotel and take a taxi (avoiding endless search for parking, as we were warned of). We waited for ~20 minutes, but unfortunately there was no free taxi/van for the 5 of us. Apparently because of Sunday. On the advise of the helpful staff , we took the bus (number 4) to the center. 3 minutes walk from the hotel to the nearest bus station and ~10 minutes to the center. We bought tickets (valid for 24 hrs) at the reception (we were told these weren't the cheapest tickets for round-trip but these were the only tickets on sell there). We were very happy with the solution. We did not book room w/breakfast since we left very early in the morning.

A very clean and comfortable triple room. All 3 proper beds, no pullouts/cots. The restaurant served an excellent meal and the staff spoke english well. The hotel was exceptionally clean. They have a large parking lot and access was quite easy from the main roads. We choose to stay here at a great price and then explored the old city of Salzburg (just a 8 min drive away).

It is not close to the city center. But it was so convenient to get bus and go to city center. We also walked sometimes to city center which was 23 minutes.

Spacious, clean and friendly staff. Close to public transport and super market. Very cozy and good surroundings

Would be nice to be able to cast own content into the tv and have basic tea/coffee making facility in the room. Although, reception has given us kettle . Little bit pricey.

It was an excellent stay. The staff was very friendly and helpful in pointing out things to do, how to get to the heart of the city. The room was very nice, and the breakfast we had was excellent. It was about a mile to reach the main part of Salzburg, taking a bus was easy.

The Kohlpeter Hotel is comfortable, reasonably priced and has free parking. It is in a residential neighborhood yet only a five minute walk to a main street that has a bus into Salzburg (15 minutes) and grocery stores. The restaurant of the hotel is excellent!

Breakfast is expensive (19 Euros) but is a large buffet and is compensated by the price of the room.

We loved this little cute cottage off the beaten path. It was fun to be in a neighborhood and discover gems nearby.

We weren't able to take advantage of the breakfasts because they started too late - we are early birds on vacation!

Quiet location, but with a frequent bus service into the centre. We cycled here from the airport and then had an easy 3 miles cycle across the border to Germany to catch a train from Freilassing to Munich. Hotel stored our bikes in their garage.
