It's a budget-friendly place that is 15 minutes walk to the old town. Also 10 minute walk to the Augustiner Bräu which was a big plus for us beer fans. It's one S-bahn station away from the Hauptbahnhof which is worth paying the 2.40 euros in my opinion. It's also walking distance to a spar grocery. We used the washing machine and dryer which costs 5 euros per round. Overall, an affordable stay considering that it's so close to the main sights of Salzburg.

Overall, not a lot to complain about. One minor catch was that the bedside drawer had sticky glass stain that was probably overlooked when we checked-in. Nothing that a quick wet wipe couldn't fix but noted that cleanliness didn't get a full marks because of it. But overall, the team came in cleaned up and made our beds which is a nice to come back to after a full day of touring.

Love the location and the cleanliness of the room. Super quiet and conveniently located to the old city - walking distance! Coffee maker, kettle and fridge are in rooms and double rooms are spacious! Supermarket, bakery and coffeehouses are not far for breakfasts and hotel has collected interesting places to visit and made it available for the phone. Free OJ and water in the fridge and apples at the reception!

Property had a shared kitchen but it seemed some people did not think they had to clean their used stuff themselves and left it dirty on the counters. Overall the kitchen was not inviting enough to use it, especially since it lacked items to use (silverware, plates, pots and pans.

We were in Salzburg for a couple of days and I was really happy we chose this place. The location was exceptional: right on the riverside, close to the train station and the old town but still far enough so it was calm at night. We had a riverside view from our window so we had really good air with the breeze coming in. The staff was really nice and helpful too. The community kitchen on the first floor was something I didn't expect but it had a good communal feeling with the dining area. We could happily make breakfast in the morning and enjoy it while looking at the river. Overall we were happy with the Riverside Hotel :)

Kitchenette included, as well as separate communal kitchen along the corridor. Good location - close to trams and in walking distance of major attractions. Fan in room. Free water and orange juice in fridge. Free water and apple at reception.

Kitchenette had no kitchenware at all, so would have had to bring our own or take from the communal one. Seems pointless as may as well just use shared kitchen, uses up space in room. Bed was took high with sunken in mattress so painful wooden edges made it difficult to sit on the edge or get into/out of bed. Also creaked really loudly when moved. Bit noisy with train and man with dog outside at 6am both nights.

Quiet within the hotel. Rather clean. Nice staff. Refill the fridge with complimentary sparkling water, coffee, biscuits and juice every day. Very good Internet connection. In walking distance from the places of interest.

A bit noisy given the people spending night (sleeping and quarreling) on one lawn in the hotel vicinity and because of the bike rides right under the windows, thus preventing us from sleeping with the windows open during the hot summer nights.

Hotel is right next to the walking/bicycling paths along both banks of the river. Convenient to the small Salzburg Mulln-Altstadt railway station, but at the Hauptbahnhoff it wasn't clear how to buy a local ticket so we walked. Mostly residential neighborhood, we ate dinner downtown. Good walking access to the old Salzburg upstream via the paths on both banks.

Rooms were quite compact. It was hot enough to make opening windows desirable, but our rooms were on the side of the building that faced the railway, so there was some noise.

The room that we stayed a studio. It had fridge with freeze section and also a water cooker and a coffee machine(the coffee patches you have to buy yourself). The beds are comfy and also clean. There is also a hair blower. No Airco but a big Fan. There is a shared kitchen available at the same floor. There are no parking, but the closest indoor parking is 5 min walk. There is also a supermarket close by. The staff was very friendly.

Excellent value! The location is great, 10-15 mins walking to city center (or bus stop right around the block, if you wish). There is a small train station right next to the hostel, one stop away form Salzburg Hauptbahnhof. Staff at the reception always polite and helpful. There's bag storage available, also a kitchen and dining area, washing machines, etc. Beds are comfy, coffee and tea in the rooms were nice, appreciated the shutters and the fan (as it was quite hot during our stay, these made the rooms comfortable).

Some people might not like the noise from trains going by.

Fantastic location close to central Salzburg. We hired bikes and cycled on all 3 days we stayed there. It’s actually part of a university hall of residence so the rooms are set up for students. They are clean, basic, beds are comfy, they have a desk. There is a shared kitchen area and dining space.

We paid a huge amount of money to stay there- so little is available in Saltzburg. We needed two rooms and considering it’s not 5* luxury it is expensive. The rooms were basic and perfectly adequate however in the heat of summer with no air con the rooms are stuffy.

Great value and location. Easy to get from the airport by bus, reach old town by public transport or easy walk by the river. Clean and really comfortable. Groceries at SPAR just a few mins away. Great wi-fi. Staff was very helpful.

We were facing the railway station. It was really hot on those days in Salzburg, so we had to keep the windows open, as only a fan was available in a room (no a/c). The noise from the trains (esp. at night when cargo trains passing) was an issue for us. Don't forget your ear-plugs to be safe :)
