The hotel is located in the very busy Linzer Gasse. It is in the heart of Salzburg, everything touristy was reachable by foot. The room was big, well furnished with a couch as the third bed. Great value for money! Don’t expect the Ritz.

Beware if you are a light sleeper. The church bells from the nearby churches start to chime randomly at 5 am and will probably wake you up. And then every hour or so. We couldn’t really make out the pattern. It doesn’t follow the clock as far as we’re concerned. There’s also a bar at entrance level at the hotel so there will be noise and probably drunk people.

We stayed at the apartment which is cca 100m from the Hotel. It's totally worth booking as the location is perfect, the apartment is big and spacy, it's extremely comfy and clean. And if you are in Salzburg and your apartment has a piano (even an old and non working one), it's simply magical :) The breakfast was OK.

The hotel staff at the reception wasn't very kind, we seemed to be bothering them when asking questions. They weren't rude, just not very kind :) It's a bit of a journey to find the apartment :D the house is not marked with the number or tagged or anything. We were told at the reception to look for the house number XY .. but the house wasn't marked :) and if you manage to find the right house door, you are faced with another riddle: you go to the 1st floor .. there are 3 doors - no names or tags. Which one is yours? :) So yeah, this was kinda fun. :) We told the owner and she was laughing about it :) so it might be an internal joke :D if I wouldn't have 2 tired kids with me, I'd probably laugh more :D

Excellent location with more than enough variation of shops, eating & drinking places, but not a noisy area, very relaxing. The hotel itself had it's own lovely adjoining bar that was an added bonus. The breakfast was excellent with more than enough choices to start the day. Most of the major sight seeing locations are within walking distance. I would certainly return for what I hope to be a future visit to Salzburg.

An English news TV channel would have been a small added bonus, but certainly did not spoil my stay. My booked single room was more than adequate for a solo traveler. Despite the wardrobe being slightly too big for my needs & took up a fair bit of space, it was still manageable to move around, and I could not have expected much more.

April 2023

I booked this hotel mainly for its location which didn't disappoint. The rooms were adequate and clean - nothing fancy - but good enough for the very reasonable price paid. Bed was very big and comfortable. Breakfast was good as was having tea and coffee available 24/7. The bells at the nearby church ring every 15 minutes from 6am (but fortunately not throughout the night!) which can be annoying but we found quite charming. There is a very lively bar on the ground floor which had a good atmosphere most of the time but could be a little noisy when people leave in the early hours if you have a room at the front of the hotel. Reception is closed from 3pm which is a bit strange, but staff at the front desk were very helpful and gave an emergency number should we need anything out of hours. There was staff in the bar until late though.

As we visited in April when the weather was a bit chilly and wet some of the time, it would be nice if there was a lounge area inside to sit in (although I guess if there was space there would be one!) rather than having to go to the bar which could be a little noisy and on occasion had some very rude and loud customers. The rooms had very little storage, just a wardrobe, no drawers and no coat hooks so coming in with a wet coat there was nowhere to hang it to dry. The bedside tables were cubes but would serve better if they had drawers in them as there were no drawers anywhere else so we couldn't unpack all our things.

Excellent hotel in a great location, right in old town, on the other side of the river, close to Mirabell Gardens, but only 5 minutes away from Mozart’s Birthplace or 10 minutes walking distance from DomQuartier. If you arrive by car, there’s an underground parking garage 3 minutes away. The hotel room was unexpectedly spacious, with a big bed and a comfortable couch, and the bathroom was quite large as well. The staff was really friendly and the breakfast was good. There are many diverse restaurants and shops on the street.

Only downside to being right in the middle of things is St. Sebastian’s church bells waking you up early in the morning, but it really isn’t the hotel’s fault.

The location was great! The room and bathrooms were very clean and there was some extra space in the entry for luggage and a closet for clothes. The room is basic but had everything we needed. Breakfast is available, but we didn't try it. Staff was pleasant. Depending on what time you arrive, check in starts at the little bar attached to the hotel. Also, parking in the garage was easy once we figured out where we were going (gps was giving us a bit of trouble). The hotel is on a walking only street, so you need to park in the garage first and then walk to the hotel.

This isn't the hotel's fault but be prepared for loud church bells early in the morning.

The staff were really nice, helpful and friendly! Top rating honestly! Just as soon as we made the reservation we received an email with all the important information for our arrival. Once we were at the hotel, we were very well welcomed with all the details given and all our interactions were 5*. The hotel is quite charming with very interesting details (paintings, inner garden, stuffed animals for children, common cafeteria with free coffee, etc etc). There is a parking available really near the hotel at an extra cost but with an interesting guest discount. The location is great, one can easily walk to all main attractions.

The bedroom had no curtains that could block the light, so it was really difficult for us to be able to rest with daylight starting at 5am. We stayed during a week with very high temperatures and our room was in the last floor...without air conditioned it felt like a sauna (they had put a fan though, but didn't cool a bit). Also there is a church right next to the hotel that rings its majestic bells several times every hour (stops during the night until 5 something). Not something the hotel can fix, but for us it was a bit noisy.

Great location. Good breakfast. Very helpful staff. Free access to coffee machine all day. Bathroom although small, had a great shower.

The hotel becomes a bar every day from 3pm to midnight and can become very noisy, however the windows did a good job of stopping it, although at times it would have been nice to have them open. We were on the floor directly above probably the most noisy. If you want quiet, ask for the rooms at the back of the hotel, if you don't mind European street ambiance and a bit of noise and smoke, the front ones are fine, we enjoyed our stay.

The comfiest beds on our trip! The living room was bigger and more comfortable than expected. Also, the hotel staff said we should relax and enjoy our stay, and not worry about things like loading the dishwasher. (We're used to vacation rentals not associated with hotels, and they generally appreciate help with the turnovers.) Questions were answered quickly when asked through the app.

The grand piano was horribly out of tune. It would have been nice to have more pictures on the listing. I felt like I had several questions that could have been answered already in the listing, but staff answered when I asked.

Location amazing. Loads of bars and restaurants nearby. Good local buses that staff will help you with. Staff friendly and nothing a bother to assist. Short stroll from the river and good shops around to pick things up you need. Bar attached to hotel was great. So popular from 15:00 opening for guests, locals and passerby's. Nice place to people watch. I would definitely staff again. Big thank you to Max on the bar for being so lovely and friendly.

Only thing to point out was the bar to the door slammed loudly. That was partly down to customers letting it happen.
