Leonardo Hotel Vienna Hauptbahnhof

The hotel's location is right beside Vienna centrale. Those who are coming in and getting out of the city via train, this hotel's location is definitely a plus point. The room that was assigned to me was quiet (facing backyard) and I love it. The thing about emergency and police vehicle is that they do switch on their siren quite often so having backyard facing room was great for me. I also get to view the stars at night. I love that the staff were attentive, or perhaps, they take into interest on our needs. I was checking if they have kettle to loan for me to boil water, instead, one of the staff kindly refilled their boiler and place it out at their lobby (near to their breakfast area) and encourage me to just refill the hot water if I need it. There was also another positive incident, where the breakfast area was quite full and I was looking for a seat. The staff walked up to me and offered help, cleared the table for me and set it up so that I can sit and eat. Perhaps you may think this is their job, but I have come across staff in other hotels who do not really reflect to be showing that they are taking interest in the care of yours when staying with them.

My personal opinion is that the walking distance to the center is really quite far but manageable. It took me about 2 days to sort of memorise how to walk to center without using Google map. I think what makes the walk pleasant was the must to walk to Belvedere Garden and I honestly love the walk there. It's a give and take. If you prioritise getting to train on time and not having to drag your luggage or carry your heavy backpack, then this hotel is really a good option but if you are the kind where u prefer to be located near city, then this hotel will not be suitable for you.

The room is spacious. Bed is comfortable. Towels are changed daily, even of you don't ask, and I liked this. There is a small fridge in the room. Good variety of bread and cheese at breakfast, very good turkey ham.

The strange part is that the bathroom is made out of two different "rooms". The toilet itself is in one room, completely closed by walls and a door, and then you need to go out of this room to get to the sink and to the shower, by passing the small hallway from the entrance (2-3 steps, not more). Also, the room with the shower and sink has only 3 walls and no door. For a couple, this is ok, but for others it might be a minus. Look carefully at the bathroom pictures from the hotel description. Related to breakfast, I think the omlette is not made out of real eggs, but out of liquid eggs. Also, some more variety for the sweets they serve would be needed (I stayed 4 nights, in the first morning there where 4 different types of cakes, next mornings was only 1 type, the same for all days).

I liked where the hotel was located, 2 mins walking from the main station of Vienna (Wien Hauptbahnhof) from which you can take the metro and easily go to visit everything you want. The room was clean (and serviced everyday, even that one day we left the room later than the other days) and also pretty big if compared to other hotel rooms. Bedroom and bathroom are not in the same room and are divided by a glass and a wall. Toilet is separate from the rest, but pretty big. What I noticed was the amount of plugs available (even the USB plug if you are without adapter and LAN plugs to connect a laptop to internet). The room was silent and the international breakfast had lot of options for any kind of dietary need. The neighborhood is also pretty nice, too bad we found out the last day we were there! There are also some restaurants around the hotel like the Italian pizzeria we tried the last dinner (Piazza Colombo, really nice pizza and pasta!)

Excellent hotel and very nice and helpful staff. The room was clean and comfortable. The service was excellent, including providing us with maps, directions to different places, and printed directions for getting to the airport. They also let us borrow an iron and gave us extra towels and soap when we asked for it. There was a small refrigerator but no microwave. The price was reasonable. The location is excellent, just across from the central train station (Hauptbahnhof). We couldn't be more pleased with our stay there.

The only negative I can think of is that there was no coffee in the room.

The rooms were clean and spacious for a hotel near a train station, they cleaned them per request. The view from our room (8th floor) was really nice. There was a mini fridge in our room. Bathroom was modern and clean. No noise from outside. Big and comfortable bed.

Soundproof from outside, but if you are lucky and have someone noisy in the room next to you then you hear everything they say and do. However, we were out most of the time so no big deal. There wasn't much space for our clothes, just a few coat-hangers and a small shelve.

LOCATION IS THE BEST!! The hotel is 2min walk to the Vienna Central Station. All the trains are going from there and it is connected very well both to the city and to the airport. From the airport you have direct train (OBB) to the hotel and it is only 4,50 euros per person. The hotel staff was welcoming and helpful at any time. The room is exactly like advertised, bed is comfortable and the room itself was clean. Only small "problem" is that there is no door where the shower is located. And pillows are very small, but you have two pillows and then it is great to sleep. Matress is not soft, it is firm, but pleasant. We stayed there for 3 nights and had good sleep in there. We did not choose the breakfast option, you have a lot of shops to buy food at Central Station. Overall, great value for money and the location is superb! I would recommand this hotel to everyone.

The hotel is new and well maintained. Its location is quite convenient in a relatively central part of the city, very well connected by public transport to every part of Vienna. Wi-fi works very well. The room was quiet.

This is the first hotel I've stayed where small towels are not available, only one large per guest. I also don't like the decision of the interior designers to have no door in the bathroom. There were plenty of German channels on the TV, but only 2-3 of the international ones worked.

The place is amazing. The room is veery big. The shower is very goos and the bad is very confortable. The breakfast is also very good, A lot of different and good options. For me the best thing was the hotel is almost in front of the train station. The metro is very close too.

Actually the hotel doesn't have any thing to complain. Everything is very good but i think if i need to say what was a little bit uncomfortable was because the shower don't have doors, so if you are sharinf with someone you dont have privacy. I think this kind of bathroom is juat for couples but even though would be better have more privacy.

Location to train station, there are some restaurants nearby, it has a small supermarket in the lobby (all self service), you could walk easily to the Old Town. They had our room ready before check-in time.

The bathroom is split between a WC and a shower. But the shower doesn't have a door, just a side tainted window with a curtain. Perhaps it's modern but if you travel with a friend, you need to coordinate yourselves to not pass in front of that area otherwise you'll see them naked. FYI: it's clean. I just don't like the "design".
