It was the most pleasurable stay at Schloss Prielau! We had a blast as a group of 9 people. Annette was always there to help, making sure we were looked after and had a great time. She couldn't have done more for us and she made our stay absolutely perfect! Restaurant at the hotel was great, Mayer's 2 stars Michelin restaurant is a WOW! Rooms are fabulous and very spacious. Beds are so so comfy, I had best nights sleep for ages! All the staff at the hotel were absolutely top class and Annette is a star! Thank you, Thank you for looking after us (not easy to please a group of 9!) and I am sure we will be back very soon!

Everything was perfect!

The striking point for us was that everything was perfect. We didn't feel that this was just luck, rather the result of a hotel philosophy. Room was outstanding in both form and function. The restaurant excelled with both meals and service. Most strongly, we got the impression that we were not just guests, rather returning family. This was the best hotel we have visited and we will surely return. Extraordinary! Thank-you!

Breakfast was excellent and very good service . Great atmosphere. We recommend both the Austrian restaurant ( on the first floor of the hotel ) and especially the two star Michelin restaurant of the Mayer chef . It was the best meal we have ever eaten ,even compared to Michelin starred restaurants. Front desk service service was very kind and generous, showed us ideas of different walks and travelling ideas . Everyone took great care of the guests.

This is the most beautiful, peaceful, idyllic spot. We rented the 3br suite. It looks absolutely enchanting in the photos but the photos don’t even do it justice. Huge, beautiful bedrooms and the most gorgeous living areas. You will feel like a princess staying here. The restaurant in the castle is charming and lovely with excellent food and even better service. I cannot recommend this hotel more highly. Perfection.

Absolutely nothing.

Historical castle that is very authentic , classic, simple basic breakfast, the garden you can have breakfast watching 🦌 deers I was lucky to see them behind the fences. The staff are super amazing I miss them already !

I think all Europe need to forget having accommodations without AC ! Climate changed all need fan as basic, AC as bonus . I love this place I only tried the 3 bedroom suite with 3 bathrooms 2 big sitting areas.

We are amazed with the size of the rooms. First of all location is just amazing few hundred meters from very beautiful late, 25mins walk to the city center along the lake. The hotel has amazing staff and very good breakfast ,we feel very well welcomed. We want to return back to this hotel. Strongly reccomend this hotel for family, couple an romantic trip.

This beautiful old castle has many furniture and art pieces from ages gone by, but bathroom and beds were most modern, as was the sauna area. Excellent breakfast buffet. We felt like the lord and lady of the manor. The restaurant serves traditional Austrian food at normal prices.

Visitors should be warned about the prices applied in the gastronomic restaurant, the only option we had upon arrival. Good quality, but a considerable waiting time; it took three hours for a three-course dinner. Below average value for money.

Nice walking distance from Zell am See. Friendly staff, special to stay in a castle!

The breakfast (22€) could have been included in the price. The room could have air conditioning, luckily it got a bit cooler in the night. Maybe there could be also thinner duvets during summer.
