Clean, simple & modern decor. Nice reception team. Room was adequate in size, well appointed ( quality 'Pod' system coffee machine & plenty of pods ), decent toiletries in bathroom. Comfortable beds, plenty of pillows, crisp white linen, very effective air conditioning in room. A big bar area and outdoor pavement space to enjoy a sit and drink. Located in a quiet area yet only 5-8 mins walk from the main square and shops / eating. Nice Irish bar next door & good supermarket if you fancied a later drink, but didn't hear any noise from it. We don't eat breakfast, but there is one available in the hotel, or after 10am next door.

Listed as having charging available for electric cars, but the Kammerpoort does not have that, and the receptionist had no idea where else to go. It turns out Brabo parking just 250 metres away has two chargers available on level 0, which is convenient enough. Brabo cost us €22 for the night, I think electricity was free(!?) The hotel is missing an opportunity by not putting some chargers on top of Kammerpoort, there is even a door straight into the hotel's from there which could be fitted with a card reader.

Overall it was a nice hotel. I have nothing to complain about. The staff was attentive, the room was good and the bed was comfortable - all that you need is there. I was a bit worried about the fact that reception was only working until 22:00, but everything was organized in a way that it all went smoothly and without any inconvenience what so ever. Location is perfect. All in all I liked my stay in this hotel and I would deffinately consider staying there again.

Great location for getting into the centre and lots of bars surrounding it. Bed was super comfortable, and bathroom was just as you need. Air con was fantastic on a hot week, we looked forward to coming back each night because of it!

We stayed in room 403 which had a bit of a dodgy door, didn’t shut smoothly and was loud to open and shut.

The location was perfect, very close to the main attractions and I loved the use of public bikes named Velo, it was very convenient and the bike station is just meters away from the hotel. The bed was amazing too, very big and comfy.

The lift (elevator) was working just the first day of my stay (I stayed there for 2 weeks), so it was a bit uncomfortable to climb up 3 floors every time I needed to go out and back to the hotel, but that is hopefullly just unexpected accident, not a long term status quo fot the hotel :D .

The hotel location was excellent, close to the tourist and shopping areas. The staff were very nice and helpful. The size of the room was large and comfortable for 4 persons.

The air conditioning unit did not cool the room. One bedside light was not working (burnt light bulb?). One bed headboard was wobbly. Found one hanging picture/photo fallen, lying on the floor. Some mold was found on the wall near the bed against the window wall.

Location, location, location. Compact building with a city atmosphere. Helpful staff. The no-frills approach to the hotel also means I get to deal less with the more tacky aspects of hotel amenities.

My spacious room was decorated with a minimalist approach. I feel like they might have overdone that. Perhaps I would have liked a closet for my clothing, and a prettier floor with carpet or woodwork.

It was centrally located and smartly decorated. the staff were also friendly and helpful.

The shower was not completely cleaned with there still being hair on the wall from the prior guest. Also while the mattress itself was comfortable, the pillows were very hard and like sleeping on a rock. There were 4 pillows on the bed so a suggestion to have 2 firm and 2 soft to accommodate better different preferences.

The staff were fantastic. The receptionist was friendly and welcoming. The room was very clean. The location suited us perfectly, and we were able to use scooter hire to navigate the city.

Storage options within the room were limited. Friends of ours were staying in another room and experienced power outages during our stay, but our room room was not affected.

I had a single room on the 2nd floor. The only window opened to a parking lot. I didn’t care about the lack of a view, but I like to sleep with the curtains open. It was inhibiting with the idea that anybody out there could just look in. Probably not worth mentioning for most people…
