Very nice hotel, big room, great shower, the bed was very comfortable, and the view was amazing. And the guy at the reception was so kind to me I arrived late and managed to enjoy myself a little. Next time I will take at least two days Great breakfast

Amazing location and cozy hotel

Intercomm didn't work, breakfast was just okay

Room was big and clean except the floor was hard floor and quite dusty. Breakfast was quite good, with a decent choice of food. The location on the other hand is the best feature of this hotel. The main attractions are in walking distance with excellent restaurants and bars nearby.

The room was looking at the street and the windows did a poor job of insulation the outside noise. The toilet was separate from bathroom which will not be an issue if a small washing basin will be placed there.

The Rubens location is superb and, as it's a small hotel, you don't get the rampaging tour groups that swipe all the breakfasts. We've visited many times over the years and it's been great to see it develop from somewhat tatty to now top of the range.

The incredibly slow lift, although this seems to be a Belgian thing. Some attention needs to be given to the trees at the back as they spoil what used to be a nice are and block the view from the rooms.

Very comfortable beds, nice and quiet despite being close to the centre, amazing breakfast and super friendly staff who spent hours fixing the door card reader and then gave us a free drink for having kept us waiting (we didn't mind at all so went for water instead of alcohol - I think the lady/receptionist deserved the drink herself as she was alone in the hotel)

The hotel is in the absolute centre of the city. You can walk everywhere in a few minutes and there is a city bike station a short walk from the hotel, so even the more distant points of interest can be easily reached. The hotel is clean, beautifully furnished and the staff is very helpful. Parking in the garage is 3 minutes from the hotel. Breakfast at the hotel is great. Definitely recommend the hotel to anyone who would like a little extra comfort when traveling.

Very tastefully furnitured and unique room. Our room was facing towards a very nice backyard garden with a view on baroque/classical facades and walls. Really outstanding. Hotel staff (receptionists) were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Great experience.

Car parking is difficult, due to the location in the historical old town. Not a downside- but good to know in order to manage expectations.

Lovely breakfast and really friendly staff. great choice of food. Hotel organised easy parking for us although having missed a turning in the one way system it turned out to be a nightmare. Brilliant location for anyone wanting to walk around the centre.

Location and the breakfast at the hotel was incredible.

The toilet was separate to the bathroom. This was ok except there was no sink with the toilet. So have to do your business and then open the toilet door and go to the bathroom to wash your hands and cleanup.

amazing location just off the historic square. the breakfast buffet is delicious so well worth including. the rooms are also done to a very high standard and it’s a very comfortable, cosy environment!
