My wife and I stayed for 3 nights. Very elegant and comfortable hotel. All the staff were very polite and welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble. Perfect location for our first trip to beautiful Bruges.

Nothing not to like

EVERYTHING was AMAZING!!!! This hotel is a gem! I truly wish we could have stayed even longer. The outdoor patio was special overlooking the canal and their afternoon tea service (you need a reservation) was very special. Our room was very spacious, breakfast was wonderful but the staff in the hotel made the trip even better. You could tell they all took great pride in their work and the hotel. We were greeted with candles burning, a wonderful smell through the lobby that always welcomed us back each time we left the hotel to walk around. Don’t look any further. BOOK THIS HOTEL! you will not be sorry. It is something very special!!

The location was superb! Did not eat however saw the afternoon tea preparation and it looked great! cocktails and staff lovely: Morgan and Yanna!

Our room was across the street in another building. Not terrible, just unexpected.

This is a lovely hotel with lots of character. Tasteful, comfortably appointed lounge and restaurant overlooking canal. Very much enjoyed China tableware, very good breakfast and afternoon tea. Good location. Staff were excellent; professional, friendly, welcoming and responsive.

Our heritage room was a little disappointing unfortunately. Carpet stained in places. Only one spare pillow. Lighting inadequate for a room of that size and not really in keeping with the 'heritage' moniker. Very low bedside tables. When we spoke to staff about the lighting they were very apologetic and sought a solution. Additional pin-point lamps were added beside the bed but once heavy curtains closed it was still dark in the room. We felt it was just missing touches which make the difference between good and excellent.

The hotel is in the city center, so it was easy for us to go sightseeing. The decor is just amazing, everything is absolutely clean and comfortable. When we arrived reception offered us champagne and chips so that was a nice way to start our trip in Bruges. The bedroom was comfy and quiet and although it was located in another building right in front of the main hotel that didn't affect our stay. The breakfast is absolutely delicious and totally worth it. Overall an amazing stay with all the amenities you'd expect from a 4-star hotel.

The hotel was beautiful! I really loved every detail: from the vintage room keys, the welcoming letter with Belgian chocolates, the decoration, the location right next to the canal, everything. I will definitely be coming back. The staff also was amazing. I arrived earlier than check in, but they saved all my luggage and then took it to my room. They gave me recommendations on what to do and where to eat. And when I left, they helped book a taxi and made sure everything went smoothly (and gave me some more chocolate for the ride).

We stayed at Room 218 (2nd floor) and had a view of the canal. Thoroughly enjoyed my 3-night stay. Location is very central and everything is within walking distance. Nice touches by the hotel such as one free drink and leaving presents (two apples plus a bottle of water). Note: It is circa 20mins walk from Bruges train station to the hotel but if you have luggage to drag, beware of the cobbed streets as they may damage your wheels.

A bit noisy in the morning as there was road works outside the hotel, starting from something like 7.30AM in the morning. Nonetheless, we did not sleep late as we were on holiday.

Friendly helpful staff at a beautiful hotel in the perfect central position for visiting Bruges.

The drain in the room blocked on our first shower. It flooded the bathroom and I had to remove clumps of hair from the drain which should have been checked and cleaned by their maintenance department or cleaners between guests. We couldn't call maintenance at the time as the person using the shower was undressed. When I raised this at reception the staff suggested they ask the cleaners to do this but sometimes it s overlooked. However it was not very pleasant to have to do this.

The location of the hotel was excellent, when we arrived, the polite and kind staff of the hotel invited us to have a drink at the restaurant by the water. The hotel room was very beautiful and clean. There was a series of equipment and facilities, including an old elevator, which was not expected from a small and old hotel. The bathroom and toilet were very clean and of a suitable size and efficient. The breakfast and the hall were very beautiful and the breakfast was also excellent. Thank you for this beautiful hotel and I will definitely recommend it.

Realy nothing

A warm welcome, clean, comfortable and quiet room, some nice touches like a free drink at the cosy bar and a gift bag with water and an apple for the onward journey. The location was great and the parking garage was about 2 minutes walk away but easy to get to with the luggage that we had. The friendly staff also provided us with a handy map so that we could quickly identify and visit the main tourist attractions.

we decided not to have the breakfast although the breakfast room looked really nice. However at 25 euros each it was a bit much for us to justify as we are not big eaters in the morning. Not the hotels' fault mind you!
