location was amazing. staff was so kind and helpful.

a little expensive for the size of the room. breakfast also too expensive and there was an extra charge for everything.

I use an electric wheelchair as I'm disabled. This was the best accessible hotel we stayed at on our 4 week European holiday. There were NO barriers at all for me to function on my own as a wheelchair user. Entry into the building from the side door could be done on my own, without help from someone else, and was completely flat. From the entrance to the room was completely flat (the acessible room is a true ground floor room). An elevator/lift took us to the breakfast room downstairs. The bathroom was exceptional for a wheelchair user. The hosts were amazing and the breakfast was delicious with treats not found at any other hotels we stayed. It was an expensive hotel, but worth the money for it's perfect location, room, and breakfast . A bonus was being able to park for a fee directly behind the hotel. It was expensive, but so nice to not have to drag luggage from the closest parking lot, on cobblestones, to the hotel. Be aware that parking spaces are limited (8 spaces) and you need to book ahead for it.

Great location with friendly staff, especially James :). The interior of the place is so beautiful! Newly renovated so everything was just so clean and neat. Also you can notice that they are eco friendly too. Free parking spaces right at the backyard of the hotel. Breakfast was more than what one can wish for. Just by entering the breakfast place you feel like you are treated as a special guest. The atmosphere is very sophisticated but still very warm and welcoming. The variety and quality of the food was marvelous. Every penny we spent was truly worth it. Highly recommend this place to anyone visiting the area.

We were pleasantly surprised by De Castillion where we stayed for a weekend in Bruges. The beautifully and very tastefully decorated hotel offered comfort at the very highest level, a worthy place in our top 3 compared to the many premium accomodations we have visited around the world. We were delighted by the welcome by the staff and the exceptionally pleasant and cordial service. A hotel that should in fact be given a five-star rating.

We had nothing to wish for during our stay.

The hotel was in a fantastic central location. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The hotel decor was gorgeous, very opulent. Very quiet room, great shower! Breakfast was lovely but expensive, however, I do appreciate there was much choice. Perhaps a simpler, lower cost option could also be offered e.g. just for a hot drink and pastries? This certainly would have appealed to us on our last morning.

The pillows on the bed were not that comfortable but this really is all I can criticise.

The rooms were decorated impeccably and the hotel bar had a great selection of drinks with a gorgeous Art Deco sitting room. The staff were friendly and attentive. They provided some great advice on how to get the most from our time in Bruges. The location of the hotel is superb. Right next everything in the city centre while being just enough off of the main roads that it provides a tranquil space to pause before heading back out. The elegant Christmas decorations were the icing on top.

Everything was incredible. I liked everything about this hotel.

This was a great experience. The hotel is very charming and has beautiful interior with love in every detail. The family who owns and runs the hotel was welcoming and super nice and helpful. You can really feel that they care about their guests and love what they do. The location of the hotel is perfect, all the attractions are in walking distance. It was very clean and quiet.

There is not one thing I didn't like. Everything was perfect.

James & Nick have been more than helpful, polite and informative which has helped to make Our Visit to Brugge, Wonderful. Brugge is by far the Cleanest and most Historically interesting City compared to all the other cities that we have travelled to while in Europe. Hotel De Castillion is a Beautiful Hotel! Everything was wonderful, but if we had to point out where a change could be made would be the bathroom tub. The tub was slippery.

Location is great, parking at hotel was bonus and one of our reasons for choosing. Both rooms booked were beautifully appointed and prepared. Huge comfy bed with lovely quality bed lined and pillows. Soft snuggly robes provided and ample towels. Nespresso & kettle in room and ample choice of teas/ coffee. All communication with hotel was excellent and very helpful/ friendly staff. We were made to feel very welcome. Can’t comment on breakfast as we chose to opt out and eat in city. Would recommend highly if you want a friendly quality small hotel experience in the heart of Bruges

Nothing to complain about

The decor was very thoughtful and well executed for Christmas. The location was great and the attention to detail was great, with the free gingerbread cookies and treats. We loved the ambience of the bar and lounge. Most of all the dog was well accommodated. The shower had good hot water and pressure. It was a relatively spacious room with character and charm. Also a stocked mini bar, and the coffee bar was excellent.

The bed and pillows were not very comfortable. But the linens were nice.
