I love the design of the hostel - very original and artistic. The hostel is located about 30 mins walk from the center of Ghent and about 45 mins walk from the train station (20 mins by tram according to Google but I haven't checked it). There are shops nearby. There's also a river right next to the hostel. The staff was nice. The hostel was clean, even the bathroom and the toilets (and that's not always the case). There was an individual power socket near my bed, which was convenient. There are also lockers for everyone in the room. The free breakfast was amazing <3 I really like it when hostels provide it. Hostel owners: know we travelers really appreciate it :) In general, it was a nice stay.

The wi-fi kept on breaking every now and then. If you're afraid of spiders like I am - be aware they might appear in the common area (the area is huge though so you'll have plenty of room to escape). The motion sensor in the bathroom could be located closer to showers/toilets.

This is one cool hostel! The atmosphere and decor is unlike any hostel I've had the opportunity of staying in before. I slept in the dorms which wasn't outstanding, but if you go with a partner or have the money, you should definitely stay in one of the campers! The staff was super nice, the place was pretty clean, the common areas are spacious and unique, and it's close enough to what you'd want to see. Plus there's free breakfast and an amazing kitchen! Overall I would stay here again and I'd recommend this place in a heartbeat.

It's a little far away from things, roughly 20 minute from the city center. Which isn't bad but it also means that it's another 20 minutes away from the train station. Lucky public transportation is available. The dorms are not great, not horrible, so like I said before, you may want to splurge and camp in one of the nicer options. Lastly, the bathroom was quite far away from the dorm room I had, but this was just an annoying inconvenience.

I stayed here five years ago in one of the dorm rooms and liked the look of the caravans so much that I promised I'd book one if I ever had chance to visit Ghent again. I stayed in the "mini" caravan and it was such a fun experience! I loved the attention to detail within the caravan itself, and the sofa outside made for a relaxing evening. The breakfast had a very good selection and certainly enough for a vegan diet. I was travelling by bike and there are secure facilities, which is always good.

I loved the breakfast, very abundant and healthy. It was truly the best! Also liked the room, it was very clean, great lighting with all the appliances available. It even had a handwasher inside. Great toilets and showers, there were enough for everyone around the facility. Very conscious disposal of the waste, you had to separate everything in categories and there were labeled containers everywhere. Also, there is free stuff available in the kitchen and bathrooms. You can leave something useful and/or take in case of emergency. Everything was fantastic!

No laundry service available inside the hostel (Called Wassalons), so I had to walk about 3 blocks. Beware, because there are 2 close laundromats. The one called Wassalon Pleintje is a ripoff. Had to pay €13 to get everything clean and dry. This place was a suggestion done by one of the hosts (The only male in that shift, who was not nice). I suggest you go to the laundromat en Schaliestratt, crossing the river to the other side, only 2 blocks away. There, you pay only €6.

Very good decoration, big space for gatherings &events. The dining room was satisfactory with good breakfast (eggs, marmalade, cheese, bread, juice, milk &cornflakes). Wonderful garden and chairs outside to enjoy your coffee and breakfast too. The size of the lockers was big enough to place a travel bag. The toilets and showers had been clean with new clean curtains. It is very safe! The door outside provides guarantee safety that nobody can enter the hostel. The wireless key 🗝️ is a great idea.

Very expensive for a hostel €48 per night including breakfast and 2 Km away from the city center. At Brugge including breakfast the Snuffel hotel/hostel costs €31 per night including breakfast too!! The Sint Peters station is not so far but it is 3,5 Km away. I walked both times with my heavy luggage 45 minutes to reach Treck hostel and another 45 minutes when i took the train going to Bruges. There is tram too, to reach the train station but the point is Not to use any tram even to go to the city center neither to the train station. There is deposit €20 for the key! At Snuffel hotel/hostel and in some others they do not take deposit. The water was not so hot, it must be at least 35°C and not 20-25°C.

Unusual Quirky Friendly staff Good breakfast Dorms big and spacious as were the public areas

Too expensive Out of the way location but bus stops are 5 minutes away Not much in the way of supermarkets, alternative bars or restaurants in the area Dorms v basic and far from showers and toilets Dorms didn't have good individual facilities like lights, shelves, individual plug points. Paying a premium price of €43/night I would have expected better facilities. But then there is no other competition in the city. For 43€ I would get a top dorm in Sweden

Really quirky look and feel to the place, very friendly and great space to have a good time. Few hiccups that were sorted very quickly. The caravans are very good spaces, do look into it to make sure they satisfy the sizes you need. We had a great time and would defo recommend.

We did have a little few hiccups, but everything was sorted very quickly and efficiently. I did also fall in the shower as it was very clean, but didn't have a grip standing mat! Nothing to worry about though!

The hostel was clean, sheets were changed daily and the staff was very friendly. You can see the hostel is run by people who love to do what they do. It has lots of creative touches here and there.

It was my first (and probably last) time in a hostel. I stayed in the dormitory and it is unavoidable that people come and go in different times and make noise, so that your sleep gets interrupted many times during the night. Although treck hostel is probably the best hostel you can visit, it's still a hostel! and you should be aware of that. I did not deduce any points/stars as there is nothing the hostel can do about that.

Vibe, atmosphere, facilities, decorations - amazing. Very friendly and helpful staff. The dorm room was quite big and the beds were comfortable. But the lockers weren't the biggest, even the 30L backpack was hard to put inside the locker. Free breakfast is always a good addition. There is a bar inside the hostel as well. And a very cozy common room.

Location, It isn't a big deal, but this place was not in the city center, like 25 min by walking and 20 min tram + 15 min walking from the central train station.

Fantastic included breakfast, beds were comfortable and room was nice with a window that opened (allowing for a nice airflow). Sink in room as well as shared bathroom and lovely bar / common space downstairs.

Toilets were quite far away from the room - needed to go down one flight of stairs, across the main sleeping hall and common room, then up another flight of stairs - very inconvenient if you need to go in the middle of the night.
