This hotel and its staff are exceptional. The room was large, extremely modern and clean and had everything anyone would need. There was water, coffee and tea in the room and the bed was extremely comfortable. The cocktail in the Sky Bar was amazing, and dinner was outstanding. Attention to detail from all the staff was second to none and all were friendly and highly professional. Breakfast was superb and, again, the staff were so friendly and ensured that we were attended to. Parking is safe and secure so we didn’t worry about our motorbike. The hotel is outside the centre of Gent but it’s an easy journey in to the centre. What a great end to our holiday! We’ll definitely return to this hotel.

There was nothing I didn’t like. The hotel staff were fabulous, as was the room.

The location was great for driving in. Just off the motorway junction. The hotel shares the area with a stadium and theres a nice supermarket a short walk away in the stadium building. They have underground private parking that takes you to the reception via the main elevator. Room was fantastic, so so clean and very comfortable. There is a bus stop on site where you can get the number 8 (if I remember correctly) bus right to the city centre for €2.50 each way. There is a very nice on-site gym and spa area with saunas and steam rooms.

I would have liked a place at reception to purchase some bottles of water and other small amenities for the room. the room has two complimentary small bottles of water but the only way to get anything additional on an evening (the supermarket had closed) is to ask at the restaurant and it was crazily expensive. Not a big deal and next time we visit we would get some supplies from the supermarket next door.

Despite the fact that the Breakfast Buffet offered at the Hotel main restaurant is supposed to be very complete offering a great variety of food options, it seemed to us very expensive per person (27,00 euros). If you would like to have just coffee and a pastry it is definitely not worth it. There are not many options of coffee shops/bakeries around the Hotel area (that we were aware of). Not sure it the hotel has an option besides the Breakfast Buffet (we were not informed).

The staff was very friendly and made everything possible to make our stay very comfortable. In our room was airconditioning not working while it was very hot. Despite the fact that the hotel was fully booked, they offered us an upgrade room with gigantic beds for 4 people even though it was just the two of us. The food was delicious. The rooms are soundproof, very modern, so we could fully enjoy our stay. Highly recommend this hotel!

No stairs, if you are scared of elevators or claustrophobic, you cannot go to your room by stairs.

Exceptionally big room, super comfortable bed, nice bathroom. The breakfast was fabulous! From fresh omelette, to mini quiche, antipasti, excellent meats and dairies to the croissants, fresh fruit and so much more! The quality of the products was exceptional. The hotel is not near the city centre, but the bus nr 8 takes you 3 x per hour to the city in under 15 minutes. the only thing to consider ist that the last bus back is at 22:40 in the evening. Working the lights in room requires some getting used to, but it’s all very modern. I was very satisfied with my stay, so much that I will probably choose, whenever possible a hotel from this chain. there are a lot of them. if all have the same standards: great! Ah, one more thing. the toilets at the reception are great :))

there is a signature scent, very nice, with a touch of cinnamon in the lobby, but in the bar area it was very strong. my husband had a beer and was a bit disturbed by the cinnamon on the side. but the beer was great! :)

Van der Valk Hotels standard is high enough for our expectations (4 star). Location is close to highways if you travel around by your car. Breakfast is more than enough for a continental one. The bar and restaurant which are open till late evening is a good alternative (especially for a night cap).

The hotel located just beside the Gent Football Stadium. If there is a match or event there, it is hard to get to the hotel even find a parking lot in or around the hotel. Parking is not free but not expensive when comparing other options.

The location was perfect! The supermarket was really close and the stadium was near as well so we didn't have to take any mode of transport to get there. The Bus station which takes you to the centre of Ghent and also its train station was also near so I'd say the hotel's in the perfect location. The staff was really helpful too and the room was brilliant!

The breakfast could've had a bit more variety to it, we ate the same thing everyday and we grew kind of tired of it. The mattresses of the single beds were sliding a bit too so we had to put it in its place a few times during the night.

Super modern and cool style. everything is new, bathrooms are great and spacious and the room super spacious as well and extremely comfortable . breakfast is amazing with all sorts of varieties, everything delicious and fresh! the gym is super fine, big and lots of equipment, also all brand new. staff super friendly and helpful. all in all hotel is a great choice as its super clean, modern and quiet with high quality service

for such a high brand hotel and standards they could use a better toilet paper, it is a very cheap one! also there are few elevators so as hotel was quite packed sometimes the elevators were not enough. the ac sometimes was not working properly and you need a car to move around as hotel is not ao close to the city but we already knew that so it was not a problem to us. even though they say they have all plugs once we asked for one and they told us we could buy on the vending machines but on the next day another clerck helped us and lended us a plug.

The room was large and pleasant, the beds were extraordinarily comfortable, the breakfast was very complete, the bathroom, large enough and split (toilet / shower). It was very pleasant to be able to open the window. There is a small gym at the top floor with a great view of Gent in the distance. Very pleasant lobby, good wifi.

The hotel is very far from the centre of Gent, so not practical for tourism. Other than at the top floors, there is really no view worthy of the name.

Eveyrthing is great. It can seen that location a little bit far from center but bus station to the center is 5 min walk and can be reached in 15 minutes by number 8.

I have traveled with child, and we arrived early than checkin time. They said rooms are not ready and will be cleaned. But also offered to pay 25EUR if I want to checkin,. At the result I payed and they gave a room. This is not good for this level of hotel.
