This was a spur of the moment booking as we had not booked for the night prior to arriving. There was no view as we were at the back of the hotel. However the bed was comfortable and linen and towels were clean. There was a restaurant attached to the hotel.
The hotel room was very dark and the shower was over the bath but did not have a hook for the head, so you had to hold it to shower in your had to wash (not very convenient).

Central location on Visé and my meal in the evening was really good. Facilities a bit old but all functional.
When I went out in the morning to look around the town I had trouble getting back in at the locked door. They should give guests a key to the outside door for when the restaurant is closed.

It was a nice stay at Hotel De La Gare. A top location next to the water! Small and cozy, ideal for a short stay. I didn't visit the town but it looked really nice.
The personnel didn't speak English so communicating with them was a bit difficult. I don't have any other complaints.

The location was at the edge of the village, so plenty of parking space at front of the hotel.

Worst breakfast ever for 13 euros, that was worth 4 euros max. Also: loud parties at 3AM inside the hotel, with people shouting back at me for politely asking them to respect other guests, was not a good experience during a pandemic. Also, the receptionist man did not wear a mask inside the hotel, as well as 2 other guests that knew the host. Also, they forgot to put a chair in my room, and it is very hard (and loud) to lock the room door.
