The attitude of the waiters is very good, the environment is also very good, the meals are also delicious, and the cocktails are also very good

I stayed in room 101 on the first night. The sound insulation of the room was not very good. I could hear the outside sound until late at night.

First of all I would like to say how friendly and amazing the staff were, so kind and welcoming. The Wi-Fi was fast and the pool was really clean. The food and drinks are a decent price and the food tastes amazing! There is a street full or bars and restaurants is round the corner. This does mean that some nights there is loud music on till late but it was okay for us as we had ear plugs. Our room was super clean, I would rate the room we stayed in 10/10!

Despite the food being amazing, If you’re trying save money on food by not eating at restaurants, this isn’t the place to stay. There are signs saying no outside food or drinks allowed in, which I can understand as they have a restaurant to run. But what I didn’t appreciate was some people being allowed to bring food in and others not.

The staff were absolutely wonderful. Inika (I hope I spell her name right) was epedcially lovely and took the time to show me around the area, where many bars are located. They staff had a positive energy and the hotel was very clean overall. I stayed in a room with a balcony overlooking the pool area, which can be a bit noisy, but definitely not super late into the night. The hotel was arrange a ride for me to Sieam Reap at a very convenient price, and the [amazig] bus company also arranged visa for me, so the experience was seamless.

The pictures on Booking are a little misleading. I originally booked a cheaper room, which was super dark and depressing; the window opened up into a concrete wall with zero outdoor light. Perhaps some better lighting (such as a celling light) would make the room more a more pleasant stay.

I regularly stay at Poolside Villa when I visit Phnom Penh. The staff are lovely, the communal area is great for meeting people, or taking it easy by the pool and reception are very helpful for planning onwards journeys.

- They charge 50 cents to refill a water bottle. You can buy 20 litres in a plastic bottle for the same price, so this is not an eco-friendly policy. Drinking water refills should be offered free to guests. - They facilitate orphanage tours which is a really dangerous industry. Please do not go on an orphanage tour in Cambodia. Children are not zoo animals.

The staff are really friendly and the communal area is great with a bar, tasty restaurant, pool table and swimming pool. They offer loads of tours and information at reception for other travel as well. The location is amazing for backpackers as well. A swimming pool guesthouse right next to Bassac is incredible!

I was disappointed to see they advertise orphanage tours. Orphanage tourism is a really dangerous and exploitative industry. Please do not do orphanage tours in Cambodia! The rooms are quite tired and need upgrading and sound proofing. Bring earplugs!

really enjoyed our time here, ended up extending as it is great value for money! we had a private room with a very large balcony. the food at the restaurant is very good value for money and the staff were super helpful! the location is great, close to lots of bars and restaurant. a lot of music around on a Saturday, so get ready to get involved :)

there is a building under construction across the street, but this stopped around 5 every day and we could not hear inside the room. would be great with some shelf’s in the room and bathroom, but nothing to really complain about!

There are two pain sides to be while in PP, this is one of them. Near the night market, a 2 to 3km ride your at the other side and night life. There is a small road next to the hotel that are more of casual pubs and bars nothing to crazy. The hotel itself is very calm nice tables and chairs with a very clean pool. While there it was MOSTLY families staying so there wasn't any chaos of tourist. The vibe here doesn't really seem to push that though. Was in a dorm and the guy next to me apparently had an unfinished conversation he had to finish with himself for 7 hours so the quite part not so much. Private rooms are great though and not much of an upgrade cost.

Nothing was really bad, it's a hostel above most that you'll find in the area. All the venders and pushing and none sense is on the other side so much more quite here

It was okay because there were all kinds of facilities (restaurants, pubs, markets) needed for the residents around.

When I went, a couple was eating on the bed in the guesthouse room. Naturally, the smell of food filled the room, and I told them to eat outside because this is a "communal living space". Also, the couple sang and made noise even when there were other people in the room, so I told the couple that "this space is a space used by many people" so it's good to sing outside. When doing this experience, I think the manager needs to familiarize the residents with the precautions. The couple pissed me off all the days of my stay. How can a person lack the basic common sense of communal living?

Lovely and friendly staff members, great pool and bar area, great food. The location was also great.

It was loud, the bar played music very loudly and I had trouble sleeping most nights. There was a lot of noise from the pool table which they said closed at 11 but often people were playing well past midnight. It may have been where my room was situated but this disrupted my sleep significantly. Also, during my stay I had at 4 small cockroaches in my room, I killed them all, but it wasn’t super nice to have that.

Very nice setting, unique atmosphere, swimming pool, helpful staff. Everything worked well even though there was a construction site next door.

When I asked for help to book a bus to leave the country, I was told all buses are fully booked for several days. The person told they may be fully booked the coming days, so I need to secure my stay until seats in bus available. I did not believe but went to bus company web site. discovered many available seats. I felt I was cheated by the hotel.
