I truly enjoyed my stay at the Monthara Angkor Residence! Here's why I highly recommend it: Spacious Comfort: My room was clean, spacious, and inviting. Like any place, there were a few minor things that weren't perfect, but honestly, they were easily overshadowed by the many positives of my stay. With an open mind and a focus on enjoying the experience, it's easy to look past those small things. As a small family-run business, it's understandable that they might not have all the resources of a larger hotel. But with a little understanding and appreciation for their efforts, you can really appreciate the unique charm and personalized experience they offer. While not everything was absolutely perfect, the overall experience was so positive that I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to others who appreciate supporting local businesses and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. Remember, sometimes a little open-mindedness goes a long way!

The location was very close to the city centre if you want to call it, the staff were very welcoming and friendly. Always ready to help. The rooms were as described, beautiful little balcony and beds were definitely comfortable and the room had good air conditioning so we were kept cool on the warmest of days

The bathroom including a bath and shower had no door or anything to block it, which was very strange for some reason and the staff mentioned it was designed in the european style. There was a bit of rotting on the wooden bits in the bathroom and the chair on the balcony was broken too. My partner used a towel to wipe clean the bath after she had used a bath bomb and we got charged 2.5$ which we didn’t have time to refute on the last day.

The location was good. Close to restaurants and night life and i could easily walk to the pub street and other restaurants. The room was very very big and spacious with high ceilings, but the aircon was very efficient and cooled the room very easily despite the big size. The staff here are very friendly one day i had a tour that had a 4am pick up. The reception prepared breakfast for me to take on my tour to eat later on which was nice.

This place did not have an elevator so if you are not good with stairs then this could be an issue. The bathroom and shower is open so if you are sharing the room with someone this could be awkward depending on your relationship. If you intend to use the pool, then this is also situated right in front of reception with them looking directly to you. Although this not affect the quality of my stay, a lot of the greenery in the photos seems to have died off, the planters in front of my window only have the remnants of once live plants and the greenery in the reception and restaurant were very sparce.

We stayed in the mini suit, it was exactly like in the pictures advertised.The staff were so friendly & helpful, they recommended tours that we could do. They were willing to contact people for us to get prices that we could compare. The accommodation is clean and good value for money. Located off a main road which means you do not hear the hustle of vehicles on the road. It's pretty central so everything is close by, including pubstreet.

There's not much choice for breakfast, however it is still a filling meal to start the day. Stairs, there is no elevator, it is only 4 floors though so not too bad.

Large, comfortable air conditioned rooms, nice decor. Swimming pool refreshing in the middle of the hot day. Friendly helpful staff. Quiet location. Cold drinking water station. Staff packed us breakfast-fruit, toast and eggs to take when we left before sunrise to visit Angkor Thom.

Limited breakfast choice, not exactly as advertised.

- Smooth check-in was possible from 10 AM. - Excellent location with easy access to tourist attractions. - Spacious and clean rooms at an incredibly affordable price. - Plenty of power outlets, and no issues with the shower, including water pressure.

- The absence of an electric kettle for boiling water was a drawback.

Really big room. Air conditioning which was great. Tidy and clean. Staff super friendly and we loved their tuk tuk driver Mr Dee. He did a tour of the city for us and it was fabulous. Breakfast was really delicious and tasty.

Pool didn't look super clean. Just needed a spruce up as property looked a little tired.

Very nice staff and great location, good restaurant and a nice bike store are next door. Great and huge clean rooms! It is very quiet, but the rooster will wake you up early to catch the sunrise every morning!

the room was big with two double beds. The bed was very very comfortable. It was close to bar street and easily walkable to everything in town

water pressure in shower is a bit low. there is no lift.
