Hotel Blackfoot

We had a great stay in Calgary for a few days! The room was very spacious, quiet, and super clean. Had everything we needed. The elevators were very fast and we rarely had to wait for one. The pool area was fantastic and really made us feel like we were on vacation! The water was nice and warm and there were plenty of lounge chairs and a good mix of sun and shade.

The location was easy to get to and nice and central to everything we wanted to do, however it was in a more industrial area with no restaurants or shopping close. would not want to stay here without a car.

Hotel room was great. I didn’t use the pool as we were in Calgary to visit friends. Lounge was average the bartender was great; she was friendly & fun to talk to.

Restaurant or lounge, we didn’t bother. Restaurant on Sunday brunch was overcrowded- likely out of province tourists. Wow, all the extra taxes and creative add-ons costs, added an extra $70 to the $370 booking. AirBnB or B&B don’t do this no wear near as much.

The food was very good and a bigger meal that we usually have. The staff were great too. Loved the atmosphere in the Dining Room. Couldn't have been better. Definitely plan to stay again when were in town.

The outdoor pool won't be available in a number of months that we would be in town. We would love to go again with the grandchildren but the outdoor pool would be a decision breaker. That's the only thing I would prefer a bit different.

The food from the pub was amazing. Our room was comfortable our bed was wonderful. Everything was very clean the pool was awesome and warm. Sadly that though because it's an outdoor pool it won't be usable in the winter so this would be only a good hotel to go to in the summer if you want to swim. The staff were pretty good the only critique was the restaurant with the breakfast and the staff in there. The pup staff were amazing. Parking was awesome location was awesome. We enjoyed our stay and will come back just only in the summer. And not until the hot tub is working.

I was not told about some of the fees. I was a little annoyed that we had to have some money held but that was me missing the part I had to bring the credit card. That should be listed a little bit more detailed so that it's easier to see. We were frustrated with the fact that the hot tub was not open. That's what we were looking for it to and we would have loved a room with a bathtub but otherwise our room was fine. The food from the restaurant The breakfast came out cold and was not very good but they gave it to us free so we thank them for that. It's just it was not very good.

Beautiful hotel & close by many amazing places. The staff was very pleasant & accommodating. Extremely comfortable & clean.

When housingkeeping came to change the bedding, they didn't. They just made the bed with the same bedding that was already there. I also had some change left on the counter (about $3-$4) that went missing as well. Not a big deal, but still.

The food is very nice- we had both room service and breakfasts. The styling and amenities in the room were of good caliber.

Restaurant staff were beyond reproach- professional/friendly/attentive. The desk staff seemed perpetually distracted and busier than was warranted for the situation. We stayed for 2 nights- our room wasn't "refreshed" the second day- granted, we didn't leave the room until noon, but no one came to replace coffee pods, make bed etc.

Location worked for us (close to shopping centres), room was super clean/well appointed - there was a good kettle (which any tea drinker would appreciate), very comfortable beds. The breakfast was great, served was amazing!

My only complaint was icy/unfriendly reception both at check in & the next morning when I had a simple question. Perhaps it's subjective... if you like interacting with haughty/petulant people you'll be fine.

Updated. Decor art in the rooms very nice. Large rooms with more than ample space. Pleasant and helpful at front desk. No little bottles but environmentally friendly bathroom items.

We are used to complimentary breakfast when staying in hotels but this was not offered. There is a restaurant. The scent of the shampoo/body wash is somewhat offensive so if you have asthma or are sensitive to this remember to bring your own!

Excellent customer service. Left behind an item in my room (after my stay), contacted them about it and they located it within hours (I was able to pick it up at reception).

There was a flooding in the lobby washroom and I walked into it (there was no sign to warn customers) :-(

We went to the lounge for drinks and for a meal and the meal was delicious. Staff was gracious, friendly and helpful. We were on the 7th floor and we loved the summit lounge. Was very impressed with it.

In the rooms, it would have been nice to have a write up of attractions around Calgary, and what the hotel had to offer. But other than that, it was great.
