Canmore Inn & Suites

Stayed in the Pullman Suite and was blown away by how beautiful the room was. We booked this room for the spa tub assuming the hot tub would be busy, and it definitely paid off! The room is very nice and spacious with it’s own fireplace and seating area and the spa tub was absolutely worth the extra cost. The room is right beside the elevator, but sound was not an issue at all, we did not hear the elevator once.

The only suggestion I would have for this room would be to add a TV in the seating area by the fireplace, otherwise you are stuck watching tv from the bed while you are there and cannot watch something while you enjoy the fireplace and nice views from the separate space.

Location is good, but if you end up staying in the room facing rail track, you will have disturbance during night, which is kind of annoying. Also I didn’t like the fact that in standing shower, no soap dish, where do you put soap, shampoo etc. while taking shower? Management can update this for sure. Secondly, guess gets only 2 water bottles only first night stay, after that you have to pay, which is kind of cheap. After paying good amount for the staying, water charge? That is kind of insulting. Be generous.

One time, one young lady receptionist, cannot answer my question about the "10% off for Columbia Icefield Bus Tour" small plate on the countertop...I felt you guys lost a business :-) Anyway, not a big deal. 2. Room 376, the thick outer window curtain, stick some dust balls, looks uncomfortable...

Nice location and clean hotel. Friendly staff. Nice swimming pool with a great slide. Much fun for kids between 7-17 and above! BTW great views of the Rockies from the hotel, I wish they had balconies to hang out or outdoor restaurant seating options. The best part, you can open room windows for fresh air.

Very expensive for the room type. You can get an Airbnb for a much less price. Breakfast for $11.99 is too expensive for the type of food. We could not eat much. Suggest adding Oatmeal, boiled eggs, cereal, and good vegetarian options like Asian breakfast options. (eg. Indian breakfast, not everyone eats bacon for breakfast) The AC made noise all night and disturbed sleep.

The rooms were fine. Our booking was complicated as we had to book an extra night and we couldn't do it through Booking.com without cancelling our original booking and the staff dealt with it with no difficulty. We used the pool, slide and hot tub every day and ate breakfast in the hotel once. All were fine. I would have no hesitation to stay there again. Canmore is a good location for exploring the rockies and bear spray was available to borrow from the hotel reception if you were going hiking or cycling.

The first night we were at the back of the hotel above the railway line and some of the trains were audible during the night. The trains were impressive though!

The kids really enjoyed the water slide and the arcade/lounge. The room was clean and the view from the room was gorgeous. Laundry facilities worked well. Breakfast was not included but we opted to eat a light breakfast in our room instead (fridge and microwave in room. I liked being able to walk to a lot of local stores and restaurants.

The hotel and facilities were clean but given the age of the hotel/facilities, the shower does need an update / upgrade. Again, the bathroom was clean and functional but just a bit dated. After about 5 minutes of being in the pool area, my eyes started to burn. Perhaps more air flow is needed? Also, some shelving for towels and personal belongings might be a good idea in the pool area. I liked that there was a bathroom and shower in the pool area.

I like that they were able to accommodate my requests for everything; the front desk at check-in was awesome. I even got a cell phone contact for them because the phones were busy constantly so I could call at any time. Requests to check the rooms, the temp control while we were out and the random requests for extra towels were easy and quickly accommodated. The complimentary coffee in the lobby was amazing; the kids enjoyed the pool and arcade tremendously and even though the breakfast was not complimentary, it was discounted for guests and was worth the price. I truly enjoyed staying here and I look forward to my next trip to Canmore.

Most hotels offer complimentary buffet breakfast but then again, their prices are higher, so I guess that works out. No other issues with the hotel really.

We were upgraded to the Pullman Suite upon arrival. The suite was wonderful to stay in-big with a fireplace and a very nice sitting area away from the main bedroom. We appreciated the TV being in another part of the suite and the fireplace in the living area to enjoy separately.

The furniture has been mis-treated (IMO) over the years with dents, scratches and gouges. In the bathroom, we didn’t see any rubberized mat for the bottom of the jacuzzi or hand rails for easy in/out of the tub.

The room was available we booked it at the last minute. The receptionist was very friendly and happily changed the room to our desire. The room is clean. We asked extra towers and they were sent to us promptly.

We liked everything here that was why we came back to the same hotel on the way home after visiting Banff and Jasper national parks, though we have no time to enjoy the pools and breakfast.

We only stayed for one night. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. We didn't use any of the amenities as we were just there to sleep for the night but there was an arcade room. The pool area seems busy when we checked in closer to 8 PM. Our room window is facing the train track but I don't recall being woken up by it. Overall, it was a pleasant stay for one night.

Unfortunately, their breakfast station is still not available but it was mentioned anyway when it was booked. I would like to try that next time. By the time we checked in, their parking spaces became more limited. We manage to find parking closer to the registration/check in area but our room was located in the West Building but it is not too bad of a walk.
