Older motel was hesitant as I always stay in nice rooms. As a rule I avoid motels. Was the long weekend and I had limited choices. Gave this place a shot and I don't regret it. Much cleaner than most rooms I've been in in Alberta. Japanese cleanliness standards. Professional and courteous manager during my stay. Even though I was only there 2 nights. They put fresh towels and empty the garbage bins and make the beds everyday. Service I have to request in rooms 2 and 3 times more. Although the building and furniture are dated . This was a very clean and hassle free stay. Just because of the cleanliness I don't intend to stay in canmore or banff ever again. These rooms are 100% cleaner.

No complaints. Although clean and tidy it is a motel. Don't expect concierge service or an onsite gym or pool, etc. There is a maintained public park with a stocked trout pond behind the complex.

We LOVED the modern, full-sized toilet!! One can't say enough about that. The unit was spacious and clean. Great-sized tv, adequate coffee maker, microwave and fridge (no separate freezer). Nice rug outside and inside plus mud tray inside. Small table with two chairs plus some desk space with another chair.

The entrance door does not close evenly in frame, leaving a 3/8" gap toward bottom. The only other item - our unit had been vacant (?) for a while, outside was -15 C and the staff only turned on the little AC/heater an hour or so before we got there at 5 pm. The room was cool and the floor was Cold. LOL. Definitely had to wear shoes that evening. The heating/cooling unit was small for the space, so watch out for extremely cold or warm days if you are temperature-sensitive. We definitely would stay again. Staff was Great.

For a 2-star motel, Bow River Inn in Cochrane is amazing. The friendly staff bent over backwards to provide for our every need. For example, any extra dishes, coffee pods, soap and shampoo. They kept our room tidy and spotless. The beds were extremely comfortable. Our room was plenty large enough for our family of 5. We would stay here again.

It is an older building and we were there during Canada Day celebrations which were being held just across the parking lot. That made accessing our room a little difficult at times. Beds were very comfortable and linens were quite nice

Really there was nothing not to like. Being an elderly traveler I would really appreciate a more comfortable chair in a hotel room. I tend to have to sleep sitting up at times.

Very clean, no smell, was great location. The only thing I would like to see would be secure lock (additional) on the inside (bar or chain) that housekeeping could not open from outside. That would make me feel more secure. As a female traveling solo, I like all the security I can get.

I stayed in 121. There was quite a large space between the door and frame that cold air rushed through. It also didn't feel 100% secure because of that.

I don’t recall a breakfast being included ... if so, I’m sorry we missed it ;) Front desk staff was pleasant, polite and provided good guidance on nearby walking trails. Room size was perfect for 2 people. It was especially nice that there was a full table and 2 chairs so that we could sit there and socialize ... not all hotel rooms offer that kind of amenity any more. Some remodelling had been undertaken, so that was pleasant. The beds were comfortable and the location was quieter than we thought it would be (our room was on the backside, facing the playing field), so we both slept well. Walking trails are very close by and an evening stroll was the perfect way to unwind after a day of driving (the doe and baby deer we came across on our walk was a special and unexpected experience :).

Little touches that would polish off the remodelling efforts that have already been undertaken. Examples: make the old brass bathroom door handle match the new chrome fixtures, replace the old-fashioned light switches and outlets with the more modern style (one of the light switch covers was cracked), replace the tatty chairs sitting outside on the porch (they had some sort of covering on them that was unravelling and made them look unclean and unsightly ... as it is nearing the Winter season, I expect they will be replaced next Spring). While it was lovely to have a microwave and small fridge available, the fridge was in need of defrosting (we didn’t use the microwave).

it was exceptionally spacious and on the ground floor. Parking was right outside the door for wheelchair/walker accessibility. The manager did everything he could to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable.

The bathroom toilet was not fitted with handicap bars nor was there the taller toilet which made it difficult for our loved one. it would have been nice to have a bed not so high off the floor but the manager did bring in some portable mattresses and we were able to use the couch for a bed.

Well run and kept up local private Hotel, near some larger nat'l chains along a side road adjacent to main road '22' which connects to the 1A to reach either Calgary Airport or conversely, get on Hwy 1 (for fast/shortest drive to Canmore & Banff). Vry Clean hard floor, very Comfy King Beds, new Clean looking interior incl. bathrm, excellent TV Monitor w/cable options, & a Clean, nicely functional, Shower & shower Head. No complaints, though front desk employees directions & printed map to get to Calgary Airport were simplified which resulted in us getting stuck driving THRU downtown Calgary instead of getting from the 201A to Hwy 2 which is much closer to the Airport. We ended up very close to being late with the rental car & getting charged for an xtra Day!! Had we not left many hours early for airport, we might even have missed our Flight!!

The management was very helpful, they advised a few local restaurants which turned to be fantastic; they also do laundry for 10$/load The room was pretty clean There are plenty of groceries 5 minute drive from location and a fridge to store food.

We got unlucky with neighbors, first night around 5am I had to tell people to be quieter; second night people were leaving and apparently left some food in front of the building so seagulls were fighting for it and it was pretty loud, for the rest of the stay it was pretty quiet.

The check-in was very smooth, and the check-in clerk was very professional and courteous. The room was very clean and comfortable. Good price compared to all the other prices of hotels in the area. Plenty of parking and close to gas stations and food.

Only small challenge was that the fridge was occasionally a little noisy.
