The resort is located in the middle part of SSI, 9-min drive to Ganges, basically has easy access to all other parts of the island. All cabins are at the lake side with very beautiful view, each also has good privacy. Besides all customers can enjoy standing paddling, canoe and hot tub as the complimentary offer. Remember to sign on the waiver page at the counter before you finish the check-in. It's very clean inside the cabin, the kitchen has all things you need if you plan to cook some simple meal. The bed is very comfortable, including the sofa bed. This is definitely a plus for people like us, who care a lot about the sleeping quality. Heating system in the cabin worked very well. We used the fireplace every day and the resort replenish firewood on daily basis. Glen is very friendly and very approachable.

The shower stand is a little bit small, we are all Asian size but not easy to turn body around during using. Not sure whether it's only for our cabin (#2) or not.

The cabins were log and had a lake view or on the lake. They had canoes for use and a good selection of board games. Each cabin had a real fireplace and wood was provided daily. No meals were provided.

Some of the elements on the stove did not work and the screen for the fireplace did not work well. The cabins are very basic and rustic. It was very quiet and they had a hot tub.

The cabins are beautiful, spacious, and have a feeling of comfort. There's a full kitchen and the load of wood provided was amazing. The balcony of the cabin was lovely too. The grounds were peaceful and the lake was blissful. Glen and Alison were always receptive when we needed something. They had a selection of games so we played monopoly. It was a fabulous break from the daily grind! Oh and the bed was massive and a great size tub too.

There's was nothing to not like.

It was fantastic to have a fireplace and wood provided, and a balcony overlooking the lake. Our visit was in December so it was too muddy at the shoreline launching area and a bit too cold to figure out how to easily launch the canoes provided without getting our feet wet and muddy, but exciting that they were there. We thought it must be fantastic to use the canoes and paddle boards in the summer. The whole place had a nostalgic “summer camp” feel. Next time we’ll bring swimsuits for the outdoor shared hot tub, appropriate canoe-launching footwear, paper for starting fires, be prepared for power outages, tea bags, and a tablecloth for the wooden table.

The only thing I would change is the entrance into the cottage; there is nowhere to put shoes and coats and only a tiny matt. As a result the area just inside the door quickly got muddy, wet and full of pine needles, all of which tracked into our socks despite keeping a rag near the door. Coat hooks would be very handy for coats/towels. Maybe even a big matt and coat hooks under a portico on the outside door entranceway would help avoid tracking everything inside.

We really enjoyed the peaceful surroundings no noise from traffic etc., clean fresh air to breathe and finally fall our favourite season of the year. The accommodations were very nice and the staff were very friendly!

My wife would have liked some cushions for the couch and a small end table along side of the couch as only one side has a table.

Quiet location. Town is only 10 minutes away for supplies. Nice to have access to canoes, paddle boards. Wood was supplied daily.

With kitchen facilities, it would have been nice to have paper towels in the cabin. Also needed a lighter for the wood fireplace. It was strange to have the TV in the bedroom only. Mattress and bedding could have been more inviting.

We had a fully equipped kitchen in our cabin, so our breakfasts by the lake were just as we like them: by the fire and coffee down at the dock communing with nature. So peaceful and relaxing! Allison and Wes were welcoming and over-the-top helpful!!! Wonderful visit thanks to them! Love Cusheon Lake Resort on Salt Spring Island!

Central location on Saltspring Island. Less than 10 minutes to Ganges. Rustic charm. Excellent wood for the fireplace provided daily. Very comfortable bed. Kitchenette well stocked with an good assortment of utensils. Full sized fridge with freezer and ice cube trays. Filtered drinking water in seperate faucet was very nice. Resort hot tub wasn't huge, 6 person max, but it was warm, clean and not over chlorinated. The towels provided for the hot tub were very soft. Overall good value.

1 portable electric heater of some type would have been a plus. We stayed 3 nights when the temps were near freezing and the first night was cool. Had a great fire all night which helped but a small heater would have helped.

Comfy bed, clean bedding, lots of linens, everything we needed to prep our meals. Good internet connection We loved canoeing and the hot tub and making a fire in the fireplace. We had breakfast on the dock in the sun. Very romantic and beautiful location. Friendly staff and no mosquitoes! Absolutely perfect weekend! We hope to be back!

Great location--central and a short drive to hikes, town, etc. The lake was quiet and peaceful. Cabin was warm and comfy.

The lighting in the cabin was mediocre. A few small amenities were missing in the cabin: facial tissue, napkins, a kettle.
