The Cedars Inn Hotel & Convention Centre

Very large room so it didn’t feel cramped with all our belongings. We chose a pet friendly room with a kitchenette. If and when we come back we will hope to have the same room. The room opened up to a courtyard with seating and grass yard for kids and dog . Mall right across the street with lots of food options and gas stations for late night snacks. Staff was very nice and helpful. Gave us a voucher for Tim Hortons breakfast for each nights stay. Was about 30$ each morning in breakfast savings for 4 of us.

Breakfast was a voucher for Tim Horton's, we only used it the first morning. The pool was small but decent, staff were friendly and helpful. The fridge in our room was bigger than expected, and had a good freezer. A/C kept up with the heat nicely. A mall with a grocery store and a drugstore were right across the street, and the downtown touristy area was only a few minutes away. WiFi was good, and I was able to connect with my laptop. There was a designated smoking area with seating on the property, and my companion spent time there chatting with other smoking guests.

The hot tub needed cleaning, it sat still and covered when not in use, so the filter system wasn't quite effective at clearing up stagnant water. We had problems with 2 sets of key cards to our room, which wouldn't have been a big deal except for all the stairs to go back & forth to the office

Overall everything was fine; the parking was available, the location was accessible, staff were very friendly and helpful. The sleeping space was clean and appropriately spacious for the price - the mattresses were firm, which I prefer but others might find them uncomfortably so.

The bathroom facilities need improvement; the showerhead needs replacement as the pressure is uneven. There was no bathroom fan, which was disappointing. The sink floor tiling could be redone and the walls should be painted, as the visible aging creates the impression of a lack of cleanliness. Having said that, the facilities were actually satisfactorily clean - they're clearly well-kept by the staff, but past their expiry dates.

The rooms were large and the kitchenette well appointed. The beds were very comfortable. Breakfast was amazing, and more than enough to sustain us throughout the day. We appreciated the fresh brewed coffee and ice water in the lobby.

We booked on an app and did not confirm with the hotel about accessibility. We were travelling with wheelchairs and so our initial booking was not appropriate. They quickly found us rooms on the ground floor so we could stay.

the hotel was very well situated near shopping strip mall and other outlets as well as restaurants. Staff were friendly and accommodating in correcting some deficiencies (see below). The well fenced (private) outdoor pool was so refreshing after some very warm days of sightseeing. And there were no other people but us from 8:00pm to 10:00Pm. The sky and stars were so beautiful with so little light from the small town. The beds were very comfortable and the room was not crowded with 2 queen beds. Linen was immaculate.

The floors - carpet and bathroom tiles - were not very clean although every thing was. There was no stopper for the bathroom sink. no non-slip mat or strips for the bathtub and one of our party had a very bad fall out of the tub onto the floor when showering. This was corrected immediately and with great concern as you can imagine. There was a hairdryer in the room but the iron and ironing board was/is immediately available on request.

The breakfast deal at Tim Hortons was new to us, but did feel a little better than the traditional "Continental breakfast" many places offer. AC worked great. Kitchenette helped us a lot also because we were able to manage a couple of simple meals in the room by heating leftovers and preparing a salad a couple of times.

The Beds were incredibly HIGH off the ground making it very difficult for getting in and out of bed. Say nothing about not being able to just sit on the edge of the bed to change clothes or put some slippers or socks on in the middle of the night.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Maintenance staff always in motion. No breakfast available at the hotel, but we did receive a coupon for free breakfasts for the duration of our stay at the local Tim Hortons. The outdoor pool and hot tub were in good working order, and the gym was well equipped. Our room was spacious and clean, with a mini fridge/freezer, microwave, coffee setup and the A/C worked well.

There is no elevator so be prepared to make a few trips up and down the stairs. The hotel is dated as far as furnishings and decor, and the bathroom exhaust fan could have been more robust.

Our room was on second floor no elevator and was a long hike toget our luggage and golf clubs into our room. If we had known no elevator we would have requested ground floor. When we got there we asked to change but they wanted to charge us extra and i was not preoared to pay more as our stay was for 2 nights already expensive enough.

Reception front desk clerk Michael. He made my day. I was tired,hungry and in pain, but Michael turned that around for me. He was very accommodating to hold some cash for me for a resident to pick up. His smile melted my tiredness and pain. He recommended some eateries. Voila…problems solved.

Found dead bug on the bathroom floor even after the cleaning lady came the second day. Dust in hallways on upper floor and I killed two spiders there. No attention to the dusty seating area furniture. Due to construction on the lower area this area needed attention daily.

The room was spacious and very clean and the bed was very comfortable. It was also nice to have a big food store nearby to top up groceries. The Tim Horton's breakfast was fine--nice to have a breakfast sandwich, coffee and a muffin.

The only thing that would have made it a little better would have been for it to have had an elevator to the second floor as my luggage was heavy for the stairs. (Or perhaps they did have one but I took a different way, which is possible).
