We were at a very central location and within an easy walk of Stanley Park, where we made several visits on foot and by car, including the Aquarium. The main downtown area was easy to reach from this location, and we enjoyed several trips to the sites there, including the Art Gallery and Gastown. On a very sunny day, this hotel allowed easy access to the sea and sky highway to Squamish, where we enjoyed Shannon Falls and the Gondola lift.

As we travelled in the off-season, several renovation projects were ongoing, and the electricity was off for six or seven hours because the local Hydro company was making extensions just outside the hotel. We were off-site for the electrical work, so it did not inconvenience us.

We have stayed at the Rosellen Suites before and find the staff and location excellent. We bring our dog and love that Stanley Park is only 1/2 a block away and there is an off-leash area in the park that is not very far. We also really enjoy wandering along nearby Denman with all the different small shops and restaurants. Our one bedroom suite was very comfortable but with a bit of wear. Very clean and the kitchen had everything we needed although that wasn't much since there were so many good restaurants on Denman.

Parking in the area is challenging. We paid the extra fee to park at the Suites but that extra fee does add up.

It was in a very good location, close to restaurants, convenience stores, and Stanley Park. The area was also pretty quiet, almost suburb-like. The property was perfect for four adults and a child. Kudos to the manager, Tag, who has been very reaponsive. He took the initiative to contact us prior to our arrival to make sure we have access as we arrived in the middle of the night.

The property was dated. An upgrade isn’t necessary - if that would keep the prices reasonable - as long as everything is in working condition like the elevator call button on the 1st floor and the keycards that never seem to work. They provided us with a code to get through the lobby which worked every time. Might I suggest they upgrade to the same technology for room access. The rooms could use some deep cleaning as the carpets were very dirty and the couches dusty. I didn’t have to inhale deeply to notice that as I started sneezing the moment I sat on it.

The location was excellent, its selling point really. A short walk to Denman St with its many cafes and bike hire shops in one direction and into Stanley Park the other direction. The neighbourhood is mainly residential and has beautiful houses and streetscape to view. Big trees, lovely gardens, streets immaculately clean and tidy. The pride in living here is evident.

The accommodation was a little older and more tired than I expected but everything was clean and comfortable so really not an issue. Street parking was little tight but if you have a car for your stay I believe they have a carpark area at the back. Just so you know when your taxi pulls up at the front it is just to the street front, there is no pull in area there or driveway, you lug you bags up the 8 or so steps.

Firstly, they let us leave our luggage from early in the morning so we were able to spend the whole day in Vancouver before getting into our room. They also took the luggage up to the room for us. The two men on reception could not have been more helpful, always making sure everything was ok and happy to help with anything we asked them. The apartment was in a great position, right on the edge of Stanley Park and 2 minutes walk to the beach. There was everything we needed in the apartment, apart from a hairdryer.

The only thing I can say is that the fans and air-conditioning unit didn't seem to really cool the room down as adequately as we would have liked, but the weather was really hot for the whole of our stay.

The spirit of the place is just so comfortable! I appreciate that it's old, but everything worked! I don't need NEW to enjoy a space! Speaking of space, I loved how much room there was in our suite! Newer buildings are so cramped! The staff were very friendly and helpful! The proximity to Stanley Park and beaches is amazing! No need to drive anywhere! All in all, we had a wonderful stay, and were thrilled to be in a suite just down the hall from other family members!

My only suggestion is regarding the coffee supply in the room - I don't drink coffee, but I've heard from my husband that it's not good at all. For a place that has so much charisma, it seems smart to supply coffee that pleases their guests!

so comfy! The beds, the sofa, the chairs, all soft and comfortable. Great big communal area, adequate kitchen, smashing.

The registration system is annoying, especially if you are traveling and have dodgy internet connections, you have to - I still don't know, some things a week before, others a day before etc etc. However, if you get lost in the miasma of confusing things to do, don't worry, someone lives onsite who can sort it all out. Place looks grubby, but it's not, it's stained/worn. I was a bit worried, but it's so comfy I didn't care.

Location is fantastic and that's really the best part of this unit. The location is adjacent to Stanley Park in a lovely community. Easy walk to Stanley Park as well as downtown and the waterfront area. Bike rentals are close by and several restaurants. We ate at the Stanley Park Brewery which was pretty good and within walking distance. This is also a nice large space for a bigger family or for several adults to stay. The staff we interacted with was very nice.

This is an older building with old windows (no screens) that open out. Not to the fault of the building but some people smoke to the side of the building at night which then filters right into the bedrooms. The kitchen is super old (range was especially old). We didn't cook and only stayed one night so this wasn't an issue for us. The carpeting was rolling up in some places which could be a tripping hazard for someone a bit older.

The double queen was spacious and comfortable, with a decent kitchenette and a nice sitting area. The option to park the car in the garage was also perfect for us as we had it filled with things and didn’t have to worry about it being broken into at night. The location was also wonderful, just on the edge of Stanley Park, so even though we arrived quite late, we could still enjoy a nice walk there.

There were a few things that lowered the overall score. Our room was on the ground floor and with the lack of AC we had to keep windows open at night, which made me worried about someone slipping in so I didn’t sleep very well. The coffee pot was missing so we couldn’t make ourselves coffees and with a very short reception opening hours we couldn’t even ask for one either at check-in or check-out in the morning.

The neighborhood around the hotel is fantastic! Quiet and beautiful but only a couple of blocks from a great dining and shopping area. The value for the 2 bedroom/1 bathroom suite was excellent. The beds were very comfortable and the Wi-Fi worked well and the full size refrigerator and kitchen were nice touches.

There is no handicap accessible entrance to the property, we had to carry a rollator walker up steps while my husband had to climb up the steps. The decor is a bit dated and the air conditioning, while not often needed in Vancouver, is fairly jury-rigged.
