Very nice location with sea views from the street and the double sea view room. A short stroll to a small rocky beach. Perfectly located for the Nanaimo to Horseshoe Bay ferry from Departure Bay, which is just a 14 minute drive away. Very nice gardens. Rooms are well equipped with personal touches like soap and shampoo, tissues and complimentary chocolates. Darlene is a wonderful host- friendly, interested, caring and kind. The breakfast was wonderful with a fruit platter, hot blueberry scones and croissants with scrambled egg. Excellent value for money, especially as the price includes breakfast.

You do have to remember that this is a Guesthouse not a hotel and that you are staying in someone's house. It is extremely clean and comfortable and quiet. Darlene, the owner, is delightful and bakes the most wonderful scones for breakfast with a variety of prepared fresh fruit and eggs, The bathrooms are clean and it was lovely to have a balcony to step out on in the en suite room. The no shoes in the house rule is sensible and she does provide slippers if needed.

Darline, the host is so amazing! She gives personal attention, fine chocolate, a lovely beautiful room with view to the lake and to the garden. The bed was so comfortable and also the bed sheets. Breakfast felt as if we are in a Palace. Everything so impressive, like royalty 💮 We highly recommend this place with wonderful Darline.

The WiFi didn't work, But we didn't mind it because of the superb hospitality we got 💮

Darlene, the host is very accommodating, breakfast is good, a traditional and homely house setting . The location is very close to downtown. The room by the ocean view is so relaxing, that the ocean breeze made us so restful and comfortable to sleep in spite of the hot weather. The house is immaculately clean. The beautiful and huge garden is an addition to your view and a must to go around and enjoy. You don't need to visit a botanical garden , it is all in here. All went well . I would highly recommend this place to my friends.

Location was fantastic, short walk (2 min) down the road and you were on the beach where the sunsets are marvellous. Our breakfast was terrific. The gardens were outstanding and in full bloom. neighbours were friendly. Best part was Darlene- our hostess. she is a lovely woman full of spunky and mischief. She provided excellent directions to spots we wanted to either drive or walk to as well as ideas of where to sightsee off the beaten track. we will definitely stay here again. thanks Darlene for such a wonderful stay!

Cute little b&b in the north of Nanaimo. Darlene is an exceptional host who provides delicious breakfast (scrambled eggs in a croissant, combined with fresh fruit). Not luxurious, but everything you need from a b&b!

Residential neighborhood, meaning you need the car to go and have dinner - but it is north America, after all… so nothing really to complain!

Darlene is a great host, very friendly and welcoming. the house was very clean and the breakfast delicious! Loved the hummingbird on the balcony and the fruit platter. The house is in a quiet street close to the ocean, we saw also a lot of deers hanging in the neighborhood

We stayed in the twin room and it is pretty small, it didn’t have much space to open the luggages properly. Anyway for a short stay is def okay. We couldn’t visit the garden from the house and the floor where we stayed.

the location was wonderful - nice neighborhood to walk around, short walk to the water, and views of the water from the breakfast area and certain rooms. The gardens were wonderful to relax in after a day of travelling The host was so kind, and spent time chatting with us. I wouldn't hesitate to book here again!

Host was very accommodating and kind to my blind 96 year old mother. We spent a bit of time chatting and enjoyed talking with her.

If both rooms had had showers. One was a tub only which wasn't possible for my mother to use. It was probably clear in the listing but I didn't realize it.

The breakfast is very very good just like a expensive restaurant Darlene is excellent and thinks of the Special things to make your stay very RelAxing and Special.
