The location and the beds were amazing! Very friendly staff. Pet friendly. Convenient restaurant attached. WiFi worked well. Lots of parking. Very clean, love the shampoos and hand creams. Pool looked good, but was under maintenance when we went to use it. Great place to spend a few days.

The hidden fees. What is a sales and marketing fee? The clerk said it's a city tax but that's the city levy. That was disappointing. Two different fees on top of the room price per day. And of course the fees are taxed too. Breakfast could use a few more vegan options.

Being from British Columbia we looked forward to visiting all 10 provinces. St Johns was the last stop and we enjoyed both the hotel and the city. The staff were very accommodating and rooms were wonderful and spacious. The end of our cross Canada vacation was made perfect with a Lobster dinner at the Keg on the Docks. We couldn't have asked for more.

We didn't like leaving the Maritimes or the Hotels that we stayed at. The St. Johns hotel was one of the best.

Breakfast was good though I had to pay for it. I had a reasonable view and more space than I needed.

It would have been nice to have a bath rather than just a shower, and a kettle so I could boil water and have drinks the strength I like rather than just a coffee machine with limited choice of drinks. A proper mug would have been nice too, rather than just paper disposable ones.

I liked how it was clean and comfortable, everything felt new.

I wish i would have had advanced notice that the pool was under maintenance, as when i went to book a time for a slot to swim, only then i was told it wasnt available. Which was a part we were looking forward to enjoying. Also the lack of small things in the room was annoying, such as a menu for the onsite restaurant for breakfasts, no bottles of water in the fridge, no pens to be found anywhere and the only working ice machine was on the 5th floor, we stayed on the 3rd.

The room was very comfortable and had fantastic sleeps in the bed. The room was very nicely upgrade. It was also very convenient having a restaurant (East Side Marios) in the hotel.

A little on the pricey side. There were always too many people always standing outside next to the main entrance smoking.

The facilities were good and clean. The service in Mario's was very friendly.

Provide rooms closer together, as promised! Not a floor apart! Front Desk employee at check-in was businesslike but not welcoming. On the other hand, David, the morning receptionist, was very friendly and helpful - a great example of hospitality!

Price, service, pool, breakfast, friendly and helpful staff, patio, king bed.

Patio could have been more inviting...cleaner, etc. A little bit of a wait to register but there were a lot of people signing in so it couldn't be helped. Not a big fan of the bathroom setup. The shower/toilet area was a bit cramped, especially with regard to closing the door -- you practically had to step into the shower to close the door. The mirror and vanity were open to the bedroom; I'd prefer that to be separated slightly. Ice machines were not working. Pool time was only 45 minutes. Just sayin'....

The property was clean.. and we could tell our room had been renovated. Everything was ok there.

The air conditioning was not working.. but we dealt with it and never addressed it to staff...so we did have an uncomfortable couple nights with 2 grandsons on vacation!!

Room was clean and quiet.

The slide was only open from 4-9pm so after checking in late and checking out the next day, we were unable to use the waterslides which was basically the only reason for paying 220 a night here. Very disappointed. Slide should be open in the morning aswell.

The property was very clean and easily accessible.

Too many unsupervised children at the pool.I called in a complaint to the front desk and ended up leaving the pool area after 20 minutes of waiting for someone at the front desk to come and help at the pool.
