Great quiet location within walking distance of shopping, a variety of restaurants and pubs. Started each morning with a fresh pot of coffee. Options for a lite breakfast were available with options for a more substantial breakfast just a couple of blocks away. Given the limited parking in the area, having access to free parking near the quest house was a bonus. While the temperatures were fairly mild, we did have to use the AC once to cool the room down at the end of the day.

I had trouble with the email provided on the booking.com link. I was trying to confirm parking and never received a response. Fortunately, it worked out…but the “non response” created some concern.

Amazing location, coffee, lots of tea options, and some self-serve breakfast options. Parking provided. Staff allowed us to keep our luggage in the common area after our check out since we had a later flight.

The bathroom was a little bit cramped, which is understandable since it was probably added in for the purpose of creating the guesthouse. The sink was so small and very close to the wall with the mirror slightly in the way, so washing hands and brushing teeth was a little awkward. Also, the sink blocked the toilet a little, so there is very little space to sit on the toilet.

Basic but good location, 10 min walk from Water street and its restaurants. No issue to find parking in the street. We didn't take it, but they provide basic self-service breakfast which can be nice. Easy check-in following the received instructions.

The water was not drained properly in the bath (very very slowly), after a shower of a couple of minutes, I had water up to the ankles, which I hate and stopped me from taking a shampoo :(. There is no staff on the property, I texted the number I was given but no one bothered to answer me. Because a mobile AC unit was installed in the window, it was not hermetic, so we could hear very well the noise coming from the street, fortunately it's not a too busy street but still... Very very soft mattress...

Very quiet and easy to get around.

AC unit needed some TLC middle of the night, cleaned the mesh filter when it was struggling to keep cool. Fitted sheet refused to stay on the bed. Suggestion: small bar sized fridge would have been handy in the room Running water in kitchen downstairs would have been handy for making a second pot of coffee when it ran out.

Our room was super comfy. The locations was perfect, we were able to walk from there to the restaurants, pubs, etc.. The kitchen area and common area were very inviting, great conversations with other guests. Parking off the street was free and available for guests.

There were stairs to climb to our room but we were aware of that when we booked so just took small suitcases up.

Fridge in the room was great and I appreciated glassware not plastic. Coffee was good too.

The telephone numbers on the site are outdated and out of service. I also couldn't reach anyone via email. We wanted to drop our luggage early and were just happy that a worker was there when we showed up early by taxi. Bathroom could use a facelift.

Location was close to everything down town when I parked my car I didn’t want to loose the parking so we could walk so good thing the weather was awesome

The parking lot we use for free parking was closed off and we couldn’t access the parking lot.

Excellent location! The check in and check out was very easy and the rooms were comfortable:)

There was really no security and we had someone random who wasn't staying at the inn approach us in our room to ask how to book a room

Cute property within walking distance to downtown. One of the many "jelly bean" homes. Good variety of foods for breakfast. Free parking. As it is another refurbished property there are lots of stairs. The building was once the home of famed Newfoundland photographer Elsie Holoway

Location, free parking, continental breakfast and facilities were ideal for our 1 night in St. John's. Did not meet any staff but self check-in, communication went smoothly.

The bed mattress was foam rubber, very soft and therefore affected sleep. The bathroom in room 2 was tight space so sink was very small.
