Courtyard by Marriott St. John's Newfoundland

The service at front desk was awesome, the lady that was soloing breakfast was super nice. The rooms were great and the free wifi was fast enough to run anything, I was playing diablo 4 and other games. ( even though they offer a faster service for a I think 4 or 5 bucks a night I stuck with free) the view from the room was nice. It's walking distance to Duke and George St.

Great location near downtown. Dinner at restaurant was very tasty. Friendly staff. For some reason my middle name was put as part of last name, making reservation hard to look up. But reception was really helpful to get it solved.

Parking lot van get full near end of evening. Booking.com lists tax rate of 17%, but HST is 15% and accommodation tax is 4%, so should probably be listed as 19%.

For anyone doing their Royal College exams at the Coutyard by Marriott hotel, I can recommend upgrading your room to the junior suite. It has a separate small lounge area, ideal for that last minute studying. The Vu restaurant delivers to the room; they are located next door. The salmon especially was excellent. I ordered it two nights in a row - yummy! They offer a decent breakfast with good coffee and a beautiful harbour view. I will definitely stay here again. Even if just to experience their soft comfortable bed.

The location was a little out of the way, for us . The walk was long to go down to George Street. It would have been nice if the location was little closer in. We were disappointed the restaurant was not open all the while we were there. The restaurant is a beautiful, to bad it was not open. We did not do the muffins & coffee in the morning that was pickup at the front, we had a junior suite which we enjoyed & we made our own breakfast there. We stayed a week. The employee were excellent. So helpful, and very friendly, always there to help you out if you need anything.

A better bed mattress, The restaurant not being open, the location sort out of the way, but it was quite for sleeping, and interesting to watch the boats in the harbor load and unload.

Everything! Location is short walk to signal hill. The eating area has a beautiful view of the harbour and ocean. Hotel rooms were clean and had very comfy beds.

1 minor issue. Out of the 5 days we stayed we removed the “do not disturb” sign but no one came to clean our room. But front desk was nice to give us extra towels.

on arrival we were quite late no restaurants were open except a pizza place a ways away but no delivery at that time the desk clerk offered and went to pick up our order it was great ps we did not have a car at that time

Very central, in downtown St. John’s, walk anywhere— I even walked to Quidi Vidi, and it wasn’t too far. Very quiet, really nice and helpful front desk staff. Appreciated the free parking.

No daily maid service due to covid, so that’s understandable, but I would have appreciated having a few coffee pods/sugar/creamer at least put at the door every day. I was there 3 days and had to go down to the front desk 2 of the days to ask for more coffee pods etc.

Excellent breakfast and very friendly staff serving. The hotel was reasonably central to the main street with bars and restaurants and shopping.

Air conditioning a bit noisy but worked fine.

We really enjoyed being within walking distance to our fav local places. The entrance and dining area are beautiful. Room was spacious enough - even with their pack and play set up for our four month old. Blackout curtains worked great and we loved the heated floor on the bathroom.

The staff was very helpful and friendly, they quickly sorted out a little issue we had with the room and made sure we were happy. We enjoyed our stay, definitely recommend!

The bathroom was not totally clean, found a few hair on a shelf in the shower, but not dirty either...
