Wow, where to start? The owners' hospitality was generous in every way. The property is beautiful, the full breakfast was great, and the room amenities fine. We appreciated the owners' sharing of their knowledge of the area, recommendations for sightseeing and restaurants, and their reserving tickets for us at the Baddeck evening ceilidh (recommended!). It's rare to say that a B and B experience touched us, but this one did.
This is not a criticism, just an observation. Because the inn is located about 3 miles outside of Baddeck, you will need to drive to dinner in Baddeck.

We selected Baddeck as the starting point to visit Cape Breton and Cabot Trail. The town is located on Bras d'Or lake. The hosts, Jan & Glen, are very friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable about the area, sharing useful info about activities and places to see. The Alexander Graham Bell museum is a must; one will discover many interesting facts about Bell's life and achievements. The property is charming and quite easy to find. The room we picked (#1) is small was, but still comfortable and very clean. The breakfast was delicious. I would highly recommend this B&B.

The hosts, Scotish couple, are amazing, very friendly and accommodating. A nice-to-meet-you intro ended up with a full interesting life story. The property is very well maintained and spotless though it is an old house. It's a two story house and guests are allowed to use the living room and eating area on the ground floor. I felt like staying at home. Bed was good. I didn't stay at many BnBs but it's a very good BnB. A hot breakfast was included, delicious, healthy (assorted fruits, yogurt, juice, sure, coffee, tea, bread &spread, butter, bacon & scrambled egg with tomato with basel). Good portion. Given such a good property and service, I was guilty as my price was so low, compared to other properties in Baddeck. Definitely I will come back and recommend it.

This was a beautiful setting just 5 mins from Baddeck. Glen and Jan were superb hosts! Made us feel like family in their warm and inviting B&B. The rooms were lovely, the food homemade and delicious, and the other guests friendly and enjoyable to chat with over homemade blueberry pancakes. The screened in front porch with the swing and cozy chairs with a cup of tea any time of day -evening was wonderful added touch . Go... Stay .. and enjoy the Cabot trail!

We travelled for 3 weeks. Auld Farm Inn B & B was by far the least expensive and best of all. The house was large, very clean, well maintained.. Breakfast was good. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Tea, coffee, cookies available in the evening was an added bonus.
The windows opened inward so needed to be closed to avoid accidentally walking into one during the night. An open window would have been nice. Bathroom was across the hall, which I knew beforehand, but was clean private and easily accessible. An ensuite would be preferred. Location was a little out of the way.

This is one of the favourite places we have stayed in our month touring the Atlantic provinces. Jan and Glen are lovely people. Breakfasts were delicious. The house was good and the overall property with their greenhouse business was very interesting and beautiful. It was out of town but comfortably so. The deck is a wonderful place with interesting things to do and learn about. We did some good easy hiking in the area as well.

The breakfast was great. The staff was great, very friendly, and very informative of things to see on our trip in the Cabot Trail area. The room and bed were comfortable and private. The setting was very relaxing. We enjoyed our conversations at breakfast with the staff and other guests. Everyone was very friendly.
The bathroom for our room, although a private bathroom, was across the common hallway from our room.

A lovely house, spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Breakfast very good, tea and biscuits in the dining room all the time. Ample parking. The hosts Jan and Glenn were very friendly and helpful and very well organised - they made a phone call for us, printed tickets etc - well beyond what was necessary. Bonus - a super friendly dog! Couldn’t fault it and would highly recommend.

My wife and I had a very memorable stay at this quiet and beautiful farm house. Jan and her husband were both super friendly and tried their best to make us feel like family. We also had a long enjoyable conversation with other guests during the breakfast. Breakfast was homemade and very delicious. On top of all things, room price was extremely low compared to other accommodations in Nova Scotia.
