Very well situated hotel at the city limit of Baddeck. It was very quiet and we had a beautiful view towards the water. The room was big and comfortable with a little terrace and two deck chairs.

On the day of our arrival the hotel restaurant was closed, although a rest day is well deserved it said nothing about it in the ad. Since we have been travelling all day we would have appreciated staying in and eat there, let alone have a quiet drink ending the day - the bar is attached to the restaurant and was therefore closed as well. In such a remote location and in such a big house this came as a serious surprise.

We stayed in one of the cabins, which was great for self catering. Well equipped. Nice large room with fantastic view over the sea. Great seating area at the front and back of the property and only a short walk down to the swimming pool and restaurant. We had just one meal in the restaurant, which was excellent both in terms of its quality and presentation. It’s a very short drive to the centre of Baddeck and a co-op supermarket. Great location for access to the Cabot trail and Sydney.

Nothing really. Overall it is a great place to stay. We had a day of very wet weather during our two day stay, and the unit felt quite damp - but the weather is what it is!

The location was amazing with a very beautiful view of the lake. As I use at least 2 pillows, I loved the fact that it had many pillows on the bed. It also has a good warm swimming pool for the kids to enjoy.

One point that the hotel can improve is by creating a path to the playground, that is in the middle of the grass. It had rained a few days before and the grass was muddy, making it messy to get to the playground. I know it's not hotel's fault, but there were too many mosquitos and they were really bothering me. I almost didn't enjoy being outside because of those mosquitos. My son was bitten by a mosquito and it was itchy for 3 days. Also, the hotel could offer an option with a simpler and cheaper breakfast.

The stuff was awesome! very very polite and helpful ! Location super beautiful !

The original room was in an... old building, and ...like other old building, some things didn't work. Not going into details, minor issues, but the stuff was awesome, polite and transferred to other room, in a new building, which was pretty good, and cheaper !

Have returned multiple times to this place -- excellent on many levels. Well cared-for property, comfortable rooms and beds, excellent to have sitting chairs for reading, as well as outdoor chairs on the attached balconies. Restaurant on the property is good for breakfast and dinner. Short walk or drive into Baddeck for other amenities and options. Great view of the water, access to the highway and to the activities on the Cabot Trail.

Nothing comes to mind.

Very clean and neat property with well appointed comfortable rooms…. And the lake view was beautiful from our patio area by our room. We had an unavoidable late check-in / early checkout, so missed dining during our 1 night stay, BUT the dining area looks nice and food smelled good; we heard others say it was good and tasty!!

The main lodge king bed suite was beautiful, perfect for a night getaway to explore baddeck.

I wouldn't say dislike this but I wish there was a microwave in the room instead of a coffee maker. Was wondering if this was ever a thought instead of the coffee maker like curious on how many people would prefer a microwave over a coffee maker in their room or is there a reason there's only microwaves in the chalets?

The location was great! The staff was exceptional and attentive. Comfortable beds, nice TV, amazing view.

The place is a bit worn down, but very well maintained by the staff. Our air conditioner in our room was struggling to keep up, but maintenance came within ten minutes to address it. The place is just honestly old and needs updating but the location and staff make up for it.

Location was great. Didn’t have breakfast as it was a buffet and that’s too much food for us.

We were supposed to stay in the cabin but that wasn’t what we wanted. Too small and it was a shared cabin. Family on other side which was noisy. We are a couple so we moved to the Macdonald house and had a 1 bedroom suite which was excellent.

We stayed for 9 nights to attend the Celtic Colours Festival so we needed our chalet to be a home-from-home and it delivered. It looks as if it has been fairly recently refurbished. The location was central for all the venues we visited. Every member of staff we met was friendly and helpful. The Laundromat was open 24 hours, which was great for the strange hours we kept! And the views when we opened the curtains in the morning……
