It’s a beautiful, old-fashioned but well preserved, clean and modernized hotel. Located two blocks from the Citadel and a few blocks from the waterfront, it was convenient and close to lots of points of interest. The rooms are spacious, bright and comfortable. The beds are also very comfortable. We arrived in the city early morning after a “red-eye” flight and the hotel accommodated our early check-in request, which we appreciated so much and made a huge difference in our enjoyment of our stay in Halifax. We had a nice breakfast at the restaurant, a wonderful chat and delicious drinks and snacks at the bar and another yummy breakfast with room service. Everything was perfect!

We loved everything.

The staff were AMAZING and literally made the trip better from the moment we arrive in the doors of the hotel. Kind caring and genuinely there to support our every need. The bar was also fabulous, elegant, and relaxing. The bar tender had a kind soul and made the best drinks we could have ever asked for. Then there was the restaurant!! Could not have asked for better, nicer, more accommodating staff than at this restaurant! And the chocolate and banana cake was the best thing i ate during my 3 days in the city! If we were to go to the city and stay in downtown again this would be the only place we would stay! Love being tourist in our own province!

Nothing. It was the best time ever!

Location, location, location!!! Easy walk to the river front. Central to the other parts of town. Don't let the hills scare you-good exercise after eating excellent seafood around town. Service was beyond impeccable from our arrival to our departure. Instructions where to unload, where to park, where to eat, were easily available and so professional. Our room was clean, roomy and comfortable. We had plenty of towels. Beds were exquisitely comfortable. Breakfast, though separate, was delicious. We did not avail ourselves to the buffet but ordered separately and it was excellent both mornings.

Really nothing. Like every hotel we go to though, I never understand why there aren't more hooks to hang towels so they either have to be switched every day or damp the next or hung over doors or furniture in the room. Such an easy fix but no one does this!

Very well located - the main attractions in Halifax are well within walking distance. If you're taking the bus to/from the airport, the bus stop is just a very short walk away. I came by VIA Rail and that also was a fairly short walk to the hotel. Rooms are spacious, free coffee/tea/creamer (Keurig machine in room), fridge that had real creamers, TV was handy. My King bed was VERY comfortable. The pillows were really huge, which may be nice for some (I liked it). I made sure to use the POOL, SAUNA and HOT TUB every day. I honestly think this was the hotel's main feature: there is a huge glass dome covering the pool/hot-tub and that makes for a really relaxing and comforting swim/soak. The sauna was also very good. It was completely empty when I went which was a huge bonus for me (felt like my own private pool and sauna!). The front desk staff and cleaning staff were all very nice and helpful. Very accommodating with anything I asked for. Room service was regular and thorough (I dropped 1-2 drops of coffee on the bathroom tile while rinsing the coffee cup, and everything was spotlessly clean when I returned to my room in the evening). Check in and Check out was a breeze. All in all, glad I stayed at the Prince George. Well worth the money I splurged on it.

Wifi was generally good, but sometimes it got pretty weak and I had to switch to my own phone data.

Very clean spacious rooms with lots of amenities. The bedding was super comfortable. Staff very helpful and breakfast had lots of variety. close to the harbour and lots of great restaurants.

We had a water view room which was a lovely view but that part of the hotel backs onto a building with 3 night clubs so it was noisy at night until about 3am. (I posted a picture of the clubs from our window). Hotel did provide ear plugs if you asked. I still rated the property a 10 for location because it’s very convenient to the harbour and restaurants. Ne t time we will ask for a room facing the front street rather than water.

Breakfast was a little disappointing . The sausages were over cooked . The toast selection was limited and buttered which I do not like. The fruit juice was a cocktail not pure juice .The yoghurt granola did not have enough granola . The waitress was excellent.

I had a little difficulty getting a coffee in the bar area as it took more than 15 minutes to be served and one bar tender was ready to argue that it was my fault . I think servers just need to say that they are sorry that they did not meet my expectations and not try to determine who is right or wrong.

The bed was ultra comfortable. The mattress was perfect and the sheets were soft. I found the pillows to be too puffy., And our housekeeper brought me a smaller pillow the next day – which was perfect.

As I mentioned before, I found the pillows to be a bit too puffy. I also found the Corredor on the fourth floor, where we were to be a little too dark. It seemed a bit dreary. Everything else was terrific. Housekeeping was great. Your front desk staff were very pleasant and our breakfasts were great. Thanks for everything.

The hotel is beautiful and clean. Very helpful staff. The pool was a bonus. Everything is in walking distance from the hotel. It’s very hilly in Halifax and the hotel is up on the top of the hill just one road away from the Citadel and main areas. loads of eating and drinking places near the hotel too. Would definitely recommend it to anyone going to Halifax.

nothing at all. the only thing I could say is maybe have a choice of pillows. they were big fluffy ones. I like flat ones but that’s just me. again that’s nothing to dislike.

Quick check-in. Very nice staff. Room clean. We had a great view in room 438. Location is excellent to downtown Halifax, Scotiabank arena, restaurants.

Parking garage is quite tight. Would not want to park a truck in there. Parking is pricey. Pillows were HUGE! Did not sleep well at all on first night they were so uncomfortable but a phone call to guest services the next morning solved the issue, New smaller pillows were delivered to the room in 5 minutes and we slept well on our second night.
