Kings Inn Midland

The customer service at this accommodation should receive a 10/10. While no breakfasts (or meals) are provided at this location, I really enjoyed my stay at the Kings Inn in Midland. The room felt safe and secure and was very clean and quiet. The washroom was spotless and had a bathtub and a shower, which worked perfectly. There is a microwave oven and a mini fridge, both were immaculate and clean. The bed was very comfortable. Check in was very easy, the owners are lovely people and make you feel welcome. It was obvious to me that the owners have been making improvements to the original property and they really care. Should you have a question, they answer right away. I had a car problem (an almost flat tire) while I was staying there for two nights (I was working at the Midland Buttertart Festival) and the owner was concerned and told me he'd get an air pressure machine to fill up my tire in the morning, which I really appreciated. The owners are lovely people and this accommodation, while it's very affordable, is a great place to stay. It doesn't have all the bells and whistles the fancy places offer, but they provide great customer service and they care about their guests. I will definitely return next time I am visiting Midland.

Nothing really. Perhaps a small coffeemaker in the rooms would be nice. Can't think of anything negative about this place.

Clean room with fridge and microwave. Welcoming staff who went out of their way to make sure we had a bed to sleep in when our trip was interrupted by highway closure. They do have a check in by 10pm policy, so be sure to call ahead if you cannot make it by 10pm. They will graciously accommodate within reason. No coffee, but a great cafe nearby. Soft bed Good water pressure in shower. Easy check out by dropping the key into a mailbox outside of the office.

Liked the fact that it was exceptionally clean, lots of towels and face cloths, hangers, bed was comfortable, patio chairs outside the room to sit, parking space right in front of our room. Location is excellent.

Didn't like the fact that I checked the price, looked at other places and came back to book it, and the price had gone up in 20 minutes. But I guess that's the nature of the business. At least it was available, and it was a pleasant surprise that I found a gem in a haystack of reasonably priced accommodations, plus the fact that it was exceptionally clean No coffee or breakfast, but that's okay, there's a Tim Hortons a two minute drive away. If they tell people that ahead of time like they did at check in, then there's nothing to complain about

I liked the transom door that opens above the door in the room I stayed in, as I came from a tall ships event and boats often have their names displayed on their transoms (not that that door lets any air in or really serves much of a purpose from what I could tell). I found the property to be clean and appropriate. I appreciated the vending machines outside and was happy to use the microwave in my room. The office, the room I stayed in and the parking lot all seemed entirely acceptable to me.

The staff was pleasant. The room was clean and the bed was soft and comfortable. Liked the microwave and fridge, and tv worked well. After a long drive was nice to settle in to a cozy environment. Also was able to adjust the thermostat easily. Great place to go if you need to travel around the town and need a place to stay. Also nice that you can park your car right in front of your room.

First time in Midland for my husband and I. Charming and friendly town. Will definitely come back in summer time. Nice little Inn. Very cleaned. Staffs making sure we were happy. Upgrade us to a bigger room because our was not ready when we arrived. It was quite nice of them. The only thing missing was coffee machine in the room but not a big deal. Simple and comfortable. Would return on our next trip.

One can see it is newly renovated. Very clean, nice size of the room, good position, close to everything (downtown, lake, shops)..

Since it is on a ground and people are walking in front there should be curtains too so you can pull them during the day instead of being in the dark if you want privacy. It would be nice to have a kettle too.

Very affordable no frills clean place to stay. Checking in was good. The staff were nice. Full cable tv. Very good value for money. Great place if you are looking for a bed and a place to clean up. Would definitely return and recommend.

Not Much at all.

Comfortable and clean room in a good location. Good value for the price. Staff was very friendly and even cleared the snow off our cars after a heavy snowfall, a very welcome and unexpected gesture.

Can't think of anything

I liked the upgrade to a digital thermostat in the room and the renovations in the bathroom, the ceramic tiles are a nice improvement. Service was quick and prompt when we asked for extra pillows.

I would have liked to have a suitcase stand. It would be nice if the mirror were set just a bit higher. I had to kneel in front of the mirror in order to do my hair. I am 5'10" and I could only see my shoulders so it is set just a bit too low.
