Hyatt Place Ottawa West

Everything there was nice, clean , a really great place with friendly staff, I couldn’t ask for more at that price ! As a bonus, my wife is from the Ukraine, immigrated years ago, but it was a nice surprise to find out that they Hyatt has hired Ukrainians who have fled the war, we were able to talk with a few of the housekeepers, who are happy to be employed there . Not speaking our languages makes it difficult for them, and they were genuinely happy to be working for the Hyatt, saying they are treated greatly by the rest of the staff, management with good working conditions benifets and all ! So hats off to

The rooms were modern, spacious, clean and comfortable. The adjustable (angle) 55 inch TV provided a wide range of channels and could be seen as well from the seating aera as from the beds. Numerous USB-Charging spots allowed Charging nearl everywere. The washroom was modern, nice and clean. I would generally recommend this hotel any time.

The breakfast was generally ok (judged after the higher European standard). What is something the hotel should really(!) reconsider, is that breakfast is only available until 09:00 am. That meant that there is a complete run on the breakfast from about 08:20 to 09:00, which would overwhelm the generally attentative staff. Things run out regularily and the breakfastroom is overcrowded. Also one salt shaker for all guests seems rather understimated.

Good location, close to some restaurants, a grocery store, close to the highway, modern with pool and gym. Rooms are very nice, large, and modern.

This was a 2nd stay here, and they just cannot get the breakfast right. The area is very tight and seating does not match the size of the hotel. I stay in hotels about 50 nights a year and even though this place has the most breakfast staff I have ever encountered, they run out of food, dishes, cutlery, and tables are never cleaned. Not properly built for the breakfast they try to serve, be prepared to wait for seats and food. (maybe weekdays are better, this is weekend review)

Friendly receptionists, spacious bathroom and shower, comfortable beds, access to gym and pool 24/7, nice size gym with good quality equipment, nice restaurant across the parking lot, breakfast included.

Pool area was not very clean and the water was quite chilly. The kitchen buffet area was very cramped and crowded, not enough seating for anyone. Also, the staff started taking away the food promptly at the time breakfast hours were over, even when there were a ton of people still there and some showing up late, no compassion or leniency to give them extra time to get some food. The double layer curtains in the room were nice but there were too many pull cords all tangled next to each other with no way to tell which one was for which curtain or the direction to pull, was frustrating trying to operate them.

Location of the hotel was good, we were comfortable and it was a nice stop between our travel destinations and was close enough to get our back to school shopping done. Really liked the fact that breakfast was included.

The breakfast area was very busy at the time we went, not easy to get seating and there was not as much selection of food either. Might recommend to others to go earlier if you have picky eaters. There were times when it was not as quiet but with teams staying over that's expected.

The property was very clean and modern. It was wonderful for our puppy. There was lots of grass to walk your dog around the building. The room was very spacious and the L shaped couch was great for relaxing on at night! The breakfast was great and the food switched each day were there.

We were not impressed with the elevators. I brought my concerns to management but it was not adjusted at all from what we could see. The doors would close very fast and hard before people could even get on. Very concerning for elderly people, young children or pets!

The room was spacy, modern and really clean. Large modern bathroom, really comfortable beds, tonne of space for the belongings. Quite the drive to the city downtown, but I would always reccommd this hotel to my friends.

The breakfast room was relatevely small, and the place was packed around 8am. Waffles would be nice, maybe some cottage chese.. But the food offered was tasty, and the staff extremly polite and patient with that many people around. It would help if the serving hours would be extended at least till 10am during the week, to avoid crowds.

Staff were amazing and helpful. I had made a mistake in booking and she was able to reschedule my booking for the same weekend at the same cost. She made me feel welcomed told me not to worry she would fix it. Breakfast was also was quite good and plentiful. They kept bringing out food as needed or when people asked for more. Front desk also recommended dinner next door at the Brew Table and the food was amazing.

The bed was a bit lumpy. But okay.

Very nice, new hotel. I stayed here for two nights with an older sibling who has serious mobility issues. He actually lives in Ottawa but had been without hydro for 10 days so I decided to book a local hotel so he could shower and watch TV etc. I booked a roll in shower room so he could shower easily. Room was extremely spacious. I would say it was the size of 2 rooms but that's because it was a handicap room. The room was so large it had 2 53 inch smart TVs. Staff was very nice and accommodating. Breakfast was a nice feature. Food was decent too.

The negatives are that the mattress was a tad on the soft side. I slept on the sofa bed and it was incredibly uncomfortable. I picked this room because of the shower set up but it's actually designed poorly because there is no curb to keep the water inside the shower area, water gets everywhere, flooding most of the bathroom floor making it a very dangerous situation because the floor gets very slippery :(

Room is big with a nice bathroom. Comes with a big TV and easy to cast from your phone. Pool available . Complimentary breakfast is a plus.

1. No microwave in the room. 2. Located outside the city by almost 17 to 30 minutes depending on traffic. 3. Lot of good restaurants doesn't offer delivery since the location is too far. 4. Staff is saying they don't have enough carts to carry luggage 5. Same menu everyday on the complimentary breakfast
