Hotel Monville

The room was stunning, beautiful designer-feeling touches, modern fixtures, great integrated entertainment. The bed was so comfortable and the automatic blinds great for keeping the room dark. The communal areas were immaculately kept and the staff were super helpful - they were happy for us to leave our bags for a while on our departure day. Location wise we were able to walk everywhere, it was perfect.

The only thing was we would've liked to have had a drink on the rooftop bar, but it was closed for an event. They have robot waiters which would have been cool!

Super clean. Quiet room. Comfortable bed, view + light good, plenty of outlets. clean/simple/nice design, a place for everything, a shower with both overhead rainfall and wand attachment. Efficient, kind, well trained, helpful onobtrusive staff. Efficient quick check in / out. Attention to detail / little things appreciated: small spaces near head of bed to put things in addition to nightstand, outlets, dedicated out of the way spaces for your suitcase, shoes, and jacket jacket and their Nespresso machine, cups etc. Check in / out staff and ipads so you can do as much or as little as you want yourself as quickly as you want without waiting. Everything was comfortable and easy without annoyance or discomfort. Recommended.

I liked the room itself, as it was cozy chic. Bed size was better than expected. And bathroom was nice and spacious. Even if it is an open shower with no doors, it does not splash too much, which surprised us! I also liked that the front desk was friendly by accommodating us with all of our questions. Parking was not available for this hotel because of some construction. But front desk told us about some reasonable rate parking which was some indigo parking a few streets away!

The temperature was hard to set as it just kept being colder, and when I woke up in the morning, a lot of cold air and cold feeling could be felt even if I tried putting it warmer in the temperature setting.

The location was very central and the elevators always arrived pretty fast. I stayed in a standard room on the upper floor (17th floor) and the view was great. The staff was very nice.

They didn’t change the sheets every day (they made up the bed though) as they said there was an indication of when sheets needed to be changed, which I wasn’t aware of but I think that may be a new standard practice that I just didn’t know about. To be fair the sheets weren’t dirty, I only knew they weren’t changed because I was in the room with housekeeping on one of the days lol.

Check in/out process was good, bilingual and friendly staff, including valets. Easy access to excellent restaurants and activities downtown. The city view from the 17th floor was incredible.

Our booking.com email said that breakfast was included, but the front desk said it was not. When we succumbed to ordering and paying for breakfast, the hotel would not take our order, saying they couldn't take it at that time and to try again later. We went elsewhere. When we did go to the bar/restaurant for happy hour, staff was not very attentive and it was extremely expensive. $7 for a tiny scallop (which was delicious though.) and a short gin and tonic was $15. Elevator door (?) "whistled" every time it opened.

central location with extremely clean and modern facilities. large, well designed bathrooms, with rooms in a minimalist decor that feels spacious. view of downtown mtl was great and breakfast was fantastic! staff were lovely (and were very patient when I had to call my bank to get my credit card to work which was much appreciated) Valet service was efficient and not expensive option for parking.

my room did not appear to have a black out or thick curtain (that I could find)

Very good location, clean and functional room, with all necessities. Nice atmosphere. Very comfortable bed and spacious shower. We didn’t need to ask for anything as all was provided (e.g toiletries restocked every day).

The staff could be hit and miss. The majority of them were very friendly (housekeeper, doorman, room service). Others were quite indifferent, and didn’t seem to care whether we brought them business or not (reception/bar-restaurant).

As always, it's a pleasure to stay here. Fantastic service, very pleasant staff and a very good location. Rooms are pristine and super clean. We requested for an upgrade to a Suite as the Standard room that we were assigned earlier was quite small and claustrophobic. Loved their new Robot based room service system.

No complaints really. Just would have been good if we would've got a free upgrade to the Suite instead of paying up $50/night extra even though the hotel was relatively empty the day we arrived after a snow storm.

Wonderful location. When we arrived, we requested a quiet room away from elevators and they immediately moved us to a corner room, with lovely corner windows overlooking a church and mural. The bed was very comfortable. Nearby are top-notch eating options where you can choose take-out and enjoy on their terrace. Gym is well equipped with free bottled water and towels and a great view of Old Montreal. Great value. Would definitely stay at Hotel Monville again.
