Le St-Martin Hotel Centre-ville – Hotel Particulier

All what had to do with the hotel. The restaurant was dreadful, the "greeting" made you feel sorry to have stepped in, not by the waitress but the manager/owner.The food was horrendous and the price exorbitant, it was very noisy and we could not wait to get out which we did within 20 minutes, We went to a French restaurant near by which the hotel recommended and had a delicious meal and mentioned to the charming owner the dreadful experience we had at the restaurant of the hotel.

To be greeted by an unprofessional ,unpleasant and rude owner/manager who took us for a ride,

Location was close to where friends were staying at another hotel.

staff didn’t respond to our email from the previous evening asking for restaurant recommendations. staff said that valet parking was our only option. When asked for alternate parking options, he was unhelpful and provided inaccurate cost and directions to the parking lot. It was clearly his goal, and perhaps overall management to direct visitors to use the valet service which for us was unaffordable.

air conditioning and fan very difficult, even impossible to operate; odd curtains; parking arrangements not using valet difficult since access to garage requires going through next door building security

The hotel was in a great downtown location, next to the shopping area, close to the Mont Royal park, central train station and not far from Old Montreal. The room was well decorated and very comfortable.

The restaurant/dining facilities were closed (apart from use for the complimentary breakfast) and there was no bar or lounge available to guests, when we were there. There were many coffee shops, bars and restaurants nearby though. The shower in our room was clogged and did not drain quickly.

I truly enjoy the comfort of the sleep. My fiancé and I truly enjoyed the close proximity to restaurants, shopping and entertainment. Staff was not so nice at first (only one individual) but the. Things changed. They are extremely helpful, respectful and kind. I would recommend this place for sure. The security is amazing. It’s not easy for outsiders (delivery) yo just walk in and go up the elevators. If you need anything they are quick to deliver. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay!

The gym was pretty small. It was more of a 2 person fitness room than a gym. Only one of each equipment. It it still worked.

The location was perfect and to get to other places in Montreal with the Peel Metro and a 10 min walk to the train station. Our luxury room was amazing with a big tub and fireplace and comfortable bed too. Didn’t get the chance to check out the pool! Enjoyed our stay and would come back.

The breakfast was very busy though the two ladies working did well trying to keep order of the line up of guests and refill the food or clean the tables. The elevator can be slow. The front desk is pretty slow during checkin though they are nice as is the baggage pick up. They didn’t refill the coffee pods each morning.

Modern, stylish hotel. Very comfortable room, with hugely comfortable bed and a very nice bathroom. Everything that was needed in an upscale hotel was provided and worked well. Air conditioning system was quiet and very efficient. The staff were amazing! The hotel was clean and “green”. All the staff were so helpful, friendly and professional. The hotel is in a great location in what is a beautiful city. This central location could well have been noisy, but we were both amazed at how quiet the room was at night. We would wholeheartedly recommend this hotel, and we will, without a doubt, be returning back to it!

The complimentary (buffet style) breakfast was well thought out. The only issue we had with it was that the room narrows down because of a staircase and pillar, and this created a little bit of a bottleneck with staff and other guests, when moving through the room.

The room was amazing!! I did not expect the room, the luxury of the hotel at all. The bathtub is wonderful and was just what I needed. The room is beautifully laid out and very comfortable. Location is a little hard when it comes to restaurants. It took us time to walk and find what we wanted. Close to shopping if you are looking for that on a vacation and very close to the Hop on Hop off bus. The breakfast and staff is wonderful. We were disappointed that the restaurant in hotel closed the Saturday before we arrived. We were looking forward to eating in the hotel.

Staff at breakfast, front desk, and housekeeping are very helpful and polite. The location of the hotel is a walking distance to a mall, churches, bus line and to restaurants.

Breakfast is nice but the same everyday. We stayed for 7 days but the food at breakfast are all the same everyday: sausage and eggs, plain croissant and chocolate croissant, banana bread and another bread, bagels, slice bread, pineapple, sometimes with blueberries. Our stay would have been perfect if we did not see the same set of food over and over again everyday for 7 days.

great location and clean space. lovely restaurant and bar. continental breakfast had a little of everything. hotel is convenient to Via Rail and Metro. extremely friendly and helpful staff.

the vent/ac does not circulate to overall space, instead blows directly on the 1 of 4 guest sleeping on the side of the bed by windows. the bath in room would not switch to just shower and water did not drain quickly. I almost trip stepping out of tub becuz it was too high. I can only image how difficult it would be for an older guest. we didn’t think it was an appropriate room for our family since anyone can see in the bathroom if they wanted to. room did not have a pull out sofa as most rooms sleeping 4-6 do these days. the street noise level from screeching cars and bikes in wee hours on weekend additionally made it difficult to sleep.
