This was my favourite lodging during my six weeks in South America so I am compelled to write a detailed review! From the moment I checked in for my two night stay the staff could not have been more helpful or welcoming. They created such a nice relaxed atmosphere (especially Nao and Maria). My room was delightful - a big window so the room felt light and airy, extremely comfortable cosy bed, a jug of drinking water on the bedside table, fabulous shower with good water pressure and endless hot water. The room was charmingly decorated and both it and the bathroom were spotlessly clean. Breakfast was delicious - freshly squeezed juice, cappuccino, eggs, fruit - in a bright spacious breakfast room. There is a fabulous outdoor patio to chill out in also so the whole vibe is really relaxing. The building is completely secure as they have a 24 hour reception so whoever is on front desk duty is buzzing people in and out (I liked that there were no random people wandering into the premises). The area is quiet and I felt totally fine walking around it on my own. There are restaurants and cafes a few streets away (I recommend Galindos - yum) and the neighbourhood is pretty and tranquil. It didn't feel like being in a city to be honest.

Wow This place might be small but it was big on comfort & features. Let's start with the best breakfast I had during my month in Chile. Served with smiling care by my new besties as we exchanged Goodle translate discussions. Also I could fill my carafe as often as I wanted with water as they don't recommend tap water. Yes my room was small very small but I knew that. It was my last hotel in Chile & I packed accordingly putting what I would need for a few days at top of bag. I was then able to push suitcase into closet under the shelf as it would take up all the space laying flat in room. That worked perfectly. The location was a very quiet neighborhood & a short walk to Patio Bellavista that has many restaurants & small shops. Also walk up & down the streets & marvel at the fantastic murals which was one of the reasons I chose this hotel. It is also a short walk to the funicular to take to the top of San Cristobal Hill. There are 2 great outside sitting areas but not much indoors except in the breakfast room. Wifi was great. All the staff were very helpful. A perfect choice for the end of my trip exploring Chile.

Well there is a bit of noise from time to time from other guests. My room had a big window looking out onto the outside sitting area so I had to keep shade down. Also if people went out there in a loud group which didn't happen, just 2 people quietly talking, it could be noisy. The only real issue I had was a guy talking so loudily in breakfast area (my room at top of the stairs) that it echoed upwards so it sounded like he was right outside my room. In a communal area there is no need to have a long loud conversation that everyone can hear.

This is an absolutely gorgeous boutique hotel. We loved the decor inside and out. Our room was quiet and extremely comfortable….the bed was perfect. All the staff were so lovely, helpful and friendly even though we speak minimal Spanish, they were so patient. Breakfast was the best we had throughout a month of travel in South America…yogurt with fresh fruit, freshly squeezed juice, a delicious omelette and as many lattes as we wanted. Couldn’t be better. Bellavista is a lovely, safe suburb and the hotel is an easy walk to the funicular and to the restaurants and cafes. We wished we could have stayed longer.

Not one thing. It is fantastic.

Very cozy boutique hotel in nice suburb of Santiago set in a quiet residential street, but close walk to restaurants, bars and supermarkets. Lovely friendly feel and I felt at home straight away. From arrival the lady on reception was very welcoming and right through all staff were exceptionally nice. Thank you to David for facilitating a smooth check out at 4am for my early flight from Santiago. I wish I could have much longer and look forward to returning to Casa Bellavista👍High standards of cleanliness and service. Lovely lady worked around my Spanish😆 when serving fresh cooked breakfast including gorgeous omelette😀. Fantastic hotel in a fantastic city. Close proximity to Salvador metro station and as such access to the great Santiago metro system. Finally I really loved the garden terrace, great place to relax and unwind. Thank you all👍

I liked everything!😀

We loved that this was next to, but not in the thick of, Bella Vista. It was a quiet residential area, but close to interesting attractions and some good eating options.

We unfortunately arrived just in time for a water cut by the city that was supposed to last from Friday through Sunday, but thankfully ended Saturday night. The hotel did what it could to make up for the inconvenience, even heating water so we could bathe. But I do wish we had been given the heads up before we arrived. I think there was at least a few days notice. We probably would have kept our reservation, but it would have been nice to have had the option to find an alternate accommodation just in case.

The staff was amazing, unfailingly friendly and professional. Everyone spoke English and I expect a few other languages. The hotel facilities were nice- dining room and terrace are very pretty. The location is a couple blocks away from the busy part of Bella Vista, so it was fairly quiet at night. Location is amazing for access to Cerro San Cristóbal, and lots of points of interest are walkable distance.

Every single Chilean person I told where I was staying warned me to be careful. Bella Vista is apparently a great neighborhood to get robbed in. What I saw was that during the day, it was quiet and nice, just lots of people walking their dogs. But when the sun went down and the bars all opened up, there were obviously shady people around. Driving through after dark, taxi drivers locked the doors and told me to keep my eyes open for anyone trying to just reach in and grab stuff. So, if you're a person who likes nightlife, this may not be the right neighborhood to stay in. If, like me, you're a morning person and usually back in your hotel by 9pm, it's totally fine.

The staff was helpful and kind. Our room was a good size and breakfast was good. The large patio was really nice to relax on.

The air conditioner started dripping water like crazy out the front the first night we were there so we weren't able to use it and the room was a bit hot and stuffy. We were only there two nights and it was during Easter week so we weren't really around long enough for them to be able to fix it before we left. Aside from that our stay was very good.

The breakfast provided was excellent and the staff who served it were exceptionally friendly. The furniture in the room was newly installed and well-maintained, while the room itself was always kept clean and tidy, with fresh towels and bathroom amenities provided.

The staff at the hotel spoke very little English (not my first language either). However, I assume this is common in this part of the world. To communicate with them, I made use of a translator app. It was a shame, as the staff was extremely friendly, and I would have enjoyed having more conversations with them. Regrettably, the room I stayed in was extremely cramped and compact, not even large enough to accommodate a closet. That applies to the bathroom as well.

We arrived early on a Sunday morning after a long international flight and luckily, one of our two rooms was available so we could drop off our luggage and clean up. Since we had an early flight out the next day and would be leaving before breakfast, they let us eat breakfast upon arrival which we were so grateful for, since there were no open restaurants that early on a Sunday morning. Clean, cool, comfortable beds. Highly recommend and would stay again.

Nothing, it was excellent.

The room was very comfortable and spacious, and there was air conditioning which is much needed this time of the year in Santiago. Breakfast was great as well, with very friendly kitchen staff. The receptionist was particularly helpful by giving us recommendations on things to do in the city as well as storing our bags after check out (I had a red eye at midnight).

I’m personally not a fan of overhead shower heads and water seemed to end up all over the floor after showering.
