There's something nostalgic about Hotel Obelisco that just makes it a Cali institution. It is where I always meet my partner when I arrive to Colombia after being apart. The staff is absolutely wonderful — always so attentive, professional, and warm especially at the front desk and restaurant. The breakfast is delicious and it's fun to people watch in the dining area. If you're touristing around in Cali, it's a great location for nearby attractions and restaurants, and all cab drivers know where it is. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a classic hotel.

The breakfast could have better. The construction in front of the Hotel was annoying

*The location is the best hotel’s feature. *Most of The personal (Cleaning ladies, most of the waitresses, the gentlemen at the door were very very nice. Doris was also very nice and professional in the reception area.

*they didn’t have enough parking spaces *A lady in the reception area ( not Doris) and another lady one in the buffet area had an unpleasant approach to guests, they communicated with an intrusive and rude tone and acted like I wasn’t paying, making me feel ( more than a couple of times) like I was not welcomed. They need to be more hospitality oriented, that lack of tact and poor costumer service does not look professional at all. I noticed the same treatment to other guests like the elderly, or when someone had a normal question.

there is no microwave in the room to heated my food, all the time I had to call for a iron and table , the woman in charge of the restaurant in the mornings very unfriendly and very rude with a waiter when he tried to help us at breakfast time, I think she needs a little more professionalism when talking to the staff in front of the guest

I like the attitude of the doormen, all of them, absolutley helpful same as people serving at the restaurant. We love breakfast at the terrace, good quality and variety. We love how spacious and clean was our room and its bathroom and shower. Great location, beautiful area by the river, restaurants, etc.

The swimming pool is not as comfortable for families as space is so limited to seat and watch your kids swimming.

Great location, big room, great shower amd view

It is noisy, specially on the weekends, there is a restaurant right in front of the hotel but music stops at 11. During the day you hear the cars, it is a busy street. Still I am very sensitive to noise and we end up enjoying listening to salsa when they play it at the restaurant. The hotel is older as well, I think they could invest in some sound proof glass doors for the balcony. good breakfast (lady that server it, was not that very nice)

A great Hotel, in a safe location with a choice of restaurants and bars within a few minutes walking distance. The room was clean and gad really comfortable beds. All the staff were friendly and very helpful. Highly recommended 👌

Nothing really, was very happy with the place but would have liked a coffee machine in the room.

handy to main through roads, walking distance to key tourist attractions, rooftop pool, plenty of parking.

The aircon wasn’t very effective and a bit noisy, but not a big problem. The wifi in the room was patchy.

Amazing views of the City - fantastic spread for breakfast and food and drinks were delicious - the enpanadas WOW!
